College football is chaotic, driven by young, unpredictable athletes and constant roster changes. Yet every season, so-called experts try to gaslight us into believing they can predict who will and won’t make it to the championship game. Let's cut the nonsense and expose why these predictions are often laughable. 1. The Ever-Changing Rosters: College football is a revolving door. Players graduate, transfer, or jump to the NFL at a moment's notice. Teams are always scrambling to plug holes with freshmen or transfers. How can anyone predict a season when the rosters are constantly shifting? 2. Unpredictable Young Athletes: Most college football players are between 18 and 22. These are kids, not seasoned professionals. Their performances are all over the place. One week, they’re unstoppable; the next, they crumble under pressure. Betting on consistent performance from these young men is a fool’s errand. 3. Injuries Wreck Seasons: Injuries are a brutal reality. Unlike the pros, college teams often don't have the depth to replace their star players. One key injury can derail an entire season. Prognosticators can't foresee these injuries, making their predictions shaky at best. 4. Strength of Schedule: A team’s schedule can look tough or easy on paper, but things change fast. Teams that seem like pushovers can suddenly become powerhouses and vice versa. Trying to predict outcomes based on preseason schedules is guesswork. 5. Coaching Changes and Strategies: Coaches come and go, and even established ones can have off years. A new coach might revitalize a program or run it into the ground. Predicting how these coaching changes will play out is nearly impossible. And let's not forget that these so-called experts are often too cowardly to call out poor coaching when it's glaringly obvious. They'll harp on player performance but stay mum about coaching blunders, which are the reasons for many losses during the season. 6. The Human Element: College football is played by human beings, not robots. Emotions, rivalries, and off-field issues all play a role. Expecting to predict human behavior, especially under pressure, is a joke. The Futility of Predictions: Given all this, it’s clear that predicting the college football season is a crapshoot. Experts might analyze past stats, recruit rankings, and coaching strategies, but they can’t account for the chaos and unpredictability that define the sport. Each season is a wild ride full of surprises. So, next time you hear some expert confidently predicting the championship lineup, take it with a grain of salt. College football is unpredictable, and that’s what makes it great. Embrace the madness and enjoy the ride.
Georgia if healthy are the national champions, Ohio State is the closest at second, and I hate Notre Dame but they have a QB this year, hate to admit it, but they got a good one... with all of that being said, my Canes have not proven they can win the off season AND the actual games, so I will stay quiet, and pray that Mario learned how to gameday coach. It was hard to say what I just said, because he is a Cane, and I love all past, present and future canes!
2 loss non Champs really need to beat a playoff team. P4 needs to schedule the G5 wannabes - 3 P4 wins, and v 500+ teams, seems a minimum for making the playoff even as G5 - play up big OOC if you want a playoff berth. Even 13-0 v G5 Doable by 20 P4 teams. Not many teams getting 10 wins with FL AU GA MI schedule. B1G/SEC 2 I think -7 v ACC XII champ. 3B1G/SEC -10 v ACCXII 2 I’d say.

@nickma71 the counterpoint is obvious it shouldn't even have to be stated, if you've ever played or coached football you'd know there's roughly 150 play in a playbook for college, a lot of them are not implemented until later in the season, mainly because you prepare for each opponent individually incorporating new gameplans and packages all resulting in.. you guessed it, new signs. Sign stealing isn't nearly as gamebreaking as you think, this isn't baseball where you would know exactly where to swing. I was quick to condemn this team when it first came out but once you educate yourself on what they truly did you realize idiots are trying to charge them with murder when they were basically j walking.

Michigan was for sure cheating, though. We know they were. The bigger question is did it influence whether or not they won that natty? Probably not. Michigan had the toughest defense in the league. Defense wins championships.
UM cheated for 2.5 seasons including the first 4 games in 2023. Once these games are vacated, they wouldn't qualify for the CFP. Additionally, USC had their 2004 championship vacated enen though they were clearly the best team. This will not end well for UM.
They had hype. The hate they received they did to themselves. Deion and has fanboy fanbase were adamant they were going 15-0, and anyone who said otherwise was a "hater." Tell them they could win 4, possibly 5 games and they called you delusional and a hater. They're not going anywhere if Shadeur gets sacked 4+ times a game, again. If Deion doesn't learn how to protect a QB, Shadeur's career will end this season. He can't take another 52 sacks.
Honestly, in theory, CU still does not have an elite enough roster to win the Natty. However, CU fans should feel more than comfortable with winning at least 8 games and making a bowl game. All we need is the narrative of the process working - like it is - to foment so that we do get consistent 4 & 5 star athletes tolook at coming to CU FIRST. Two years of solid recruiting and NFL drafted players and then it's on.
@@jonhernando3469 lol, I appreciate the optimism, but again, get to 8 wins and the gloves are off as far as what CU can do in getting talent to come there to play for the Natty.

These guys are delusional. Cheating the first 6 games of the season (including having one of your coaches cosplay on the sidelines as another teams coach)in which you won a national championship is 100% cheating on the way to a national championship. None of those first games count, because they cheated. Period. Now, two things can be true. They definitely won the last few games fair and square. But, you can’t cheat the first half of the season and qualify for a national championship. To say they didn’t cheat on the way to a national championship is straight up delusion.

Mizzou’s schedule is super in their favor. This is going to be a great season! Colorado will definitely not make the playoffs.
Most LSU fans are in a wait and see. They don’t have a play off belief until they can see if they win game 1 against the Trojans. If that happens it is game on. The defense will get better over the year and Nuss will get more comfortable shredding the opponents if needed because I think that LSU will play bully ball. Mason Taylor will become a high second rounder.

College football is chaotic, driven by young, unpredictable athletes and constant roster changes. Yet every season, so-called experts try to gaslight us into believing they can predict who will and won’t make it to the championship game. Let's cut the nonsense and expose why these predictions are often laughable.
1. The Ever-Changing Rosters:
College football is a revolving door. Players graduate, transfer, or jump to the NFL at a moment's notice. Teams are always scrambling to plug holes with freshmen or transfers. How can anyone predict a season when the rosters are constantly shifting?
2. Unpredictable Young Athletes:
Most college football players are between 18 and 22. These are kids, not seasoned professionals. Their performances are all over the place. One week, they’re unstoppable; the next, they crumble under pressure. Betting on consistent performance from these young men is a fool’s errand.
3. Injuries Wreck Seasons:
Injuries are a brutal reality. Unlike the pros, college teams often don't have the depth to replace their star players. One key injury can derail an entire season. Prognosticators can't foresee these injuries, making their predictions shaky at best.
4. Strength of Schedule:
A team’s schedule can look tough or easy on paper, but things change fast. Teams that seem like pushovers can suddenly become powerhouses and vice versa. Trying to predict outcomes based on preseason schedules is guesswork.
5. Coaching Changes and Strategies:
Coaches come and go, and even established ones can have off years.
6. The Human Element:
College football is played by human beings, not robots. Emotions, rivalries, and off-field issues all play a role. Expecting to predict human behavior, especially under pressure, is a joke.
The Futility of Predictions:
Given all this, it’s clear that predicting the college football season is a crapshoot.

UM cheated for 2.5 seasons including the first 4 games in 2023. Once these games are vacated, they wouldn't qualify for the CFP. Additionally, USC had their 2004 championship vacated enen though they were clearly the best team. This will not end well for UM.
