E Shreedharan is very hard working and dedicated person towards his work and tasks. His contribution is immense in the infrastructure of Railways and Metro Rail transport which is our country's lifeline today. I always appreciate his dedication at this old age. Salute to you Sir.

It is so sad to hear that Mr. Sreedharan's salary was 30k/month with such a huge responsibility. If he is MD of a private firm like L&T that executes such a huge projects, I believe his salary wouldn't be less than 10lakhs/month. Now I understand how govt of India by keeping govt employee wages too low, pushes them to become inefficient and corrupt as they will have their family needs to meet in this extremely costly economy. Now a days, what can a 30k fetch you in a city, even if you spend your entire life, you cannot build a home for oneself. This could be the case with all departments including Police/Lawyers etc.
An excellent job but we must remember that the workers put this metro together and not some manager. He kept everyone on task and within budget and those are his key contributions.
