Months ago I bought a pre-owned copy of The Fractured But Whole without ever playing The Stick of Truth. My copy actually had an unused code for TSoT. I've now got the platinum for TSoT.
i been playing stardew valley non-stop on the switch since it came out, and when i started hearing the soundtrack during the video i legit thought i gone mad
The "Bob Ross" searing like crazy segment, very clever. Also, it's a super funny game and I love how they reference the game in the South Park show at the end of the "PS4 vs. XboxOne / Game of Thrones" parody arc.
This game really was a surprise, it's truly amazing. Also those bob ross bits were the best bit I've seen from this channel yet lol, actually laughed out loud.
2:40 Little error in there, Not made by the same Creators as The Stick of Truth that was Obsidian Entertainment with South Park Digital Studios LLC. The Fractured But Whole was made by Ubisoft/Ubisoft San Francisco with again South Park Digital Studios LLC. Different studio this time around. Same publisher I believe, but different game studio.
@@trey1215 Because it forces people to make an account, no joke I couldn't even play the game even though I bought off steam because I didn't have an Uplay account, effectively locking me and others like me out of the game entirely until they setup a Uplay account.
I didn't mind getting all the collectibles, exploring the world was so fun and inventive and I think they made really good use of your over world abilities to find extras. They often rewarded you with secret fights, dialogue, and references all over the place so I always enjoyed it. It was just so dang cozy!
Me: Reads warning at the beginning, looks over my shoulder... I'm in my low 20s & my parents are on vacation for sure until at least Monday. *face-to-palm is strong*
The Gaming Paladin I'd never deny it. Old habits of early teen version of myself still was a thing aparently & I found it hilarious. They specifically hated Family Guy, Robot Chicken, American Dad, anything adult swim & Southpark; so you politely don't watch it around them either way years later. Long story short, the human brain is weird.
IxNoiRxI i love the main character look and design, the world reminds me of banjo kazooie (somewhat) but the game is somewhat boring imo and the plot is nothing special .
iamelloyello it’s more that Jared plays a lot of family friendly and colorful games. But he does do completions on more mature games such as Metal gear solid, Tales of Symphonia, etc.
It's really just a means of covering himself if people complain. He gave them fair warning, so it's on them if they kept watching. It's a liability thing.
This is my favorite episode of the completionist, Jirard, absolutely fantastic review; it's a great love letter to a great game, and one of the best shows ever made!
Ah yes, a man managed to 100% a game from the world's most offensive series, it requires some balls to not break in half with laughter in the middle of the game
You should complete Halo CE Battlefield 1 Metal Gear Solid 2 Super Mario Kart Kirby Robobot The Evil Within Final Fantasy 15 Final Fantasy 10 Dragon Quest Heroes
Your point on the game being too easy for you and their reasoning (trying to make it more accessible for less experienced players) is absolutely spot on. I'm a massive fan of video games but with sports and racing games being my favourite genres I'm not too familiar with RPGs. I've tried quite a few RPGs before but never enjoyed them, even the ones that people rave about like Skyrim, Paper Mario, FF7 and Breath of the Wild. In fact the only 3 RPGs I've ever completed are Ocarina of Time and the 2 South Park games. The others I got bored with and gave up, never touching them again. I play all sports and racing games on the hardest difficulty and win almost every time but after watching this video I tried Stick of Truth on the hardest difficulty and I couldn't get past Al Gore. I found it impossible. Trey and Matt knew that people like me would play this and the fact that I didn't get bored (on normal difficulty) and managed to finish it is a huge testiment to their vision and the desisions they made.
MUMUMUMUist that's why I love it so much. Ultimately it is a simple joke about a butthole. But it comes off so perfectly and hilariously that my brows are blown clean off by the execution. It isn't low brow, it changes the brow into an entirely new thing.
You just hit the idea on the nose of why it was called that... Well...like that. Stores would never carry a game with "butthole" on their shelves. So the creators had to come up with a way to have their cake and eat it too. Changing butthole to but whole was a stroke of anal genius.
Friend: I pre ordered The Fractured But Whole and got Stick of Truth for free Me: I walked into the store, bought the game and got for free Stick of Truth without pre ordering
I'm a huge South Park fan and the game was everything I ever wished in a South Park game! It felt like an episode/movie, it had me laughing my ass off, it had the memorabilia, it had the offense - it was amazing! One of the best weekends spent playing a game ever! :)
Thats going to be me with metal gear solid peace walker, I have most of the game complete, just need some gear developed, trophies earned, and s-ranks earned Really not looking forward to attempting the 20,000 camaraderie trophy, but who knows, maybe I can get some help, maybe even jirard’s help when he tries for it (though that might not happen)
this game was very casual to complete, may take a few playthroughs (at least 4 since playing the classes is part of completion.) but it's not that hardcore. like Jirard though, i definitely wanted a hardcore mode and maybe a little more content, but then we're getting Fractured But Whole, so maybe that will serve to give more of a South Park fix.

13:59 that is definitely true since around the time stick of truth came out I thought that that was some weird fan game thingy or jut an episode on RUclips
When I first played this I heard it was super easy and set it to Hard on my first run through. Only going into fights underleveled (such as for the Mongorians and Al Gore) proved difficult. Rest of the time I could just auto pilot regular fights and only apply myself fully for the mini-bosses and bosses. But it felt so good to be such a bad ass that I gave it one more playthrough just to feel that again.
My first blind playthrough was in Hard mode... I'm not that great at rpgs but I love them. This game felt like a "Witcher 3 on just the story mode" kinda deal
I could have sworn that Jirard once said Futurama was his favorite animated show. Anyway, I'm glad Jirard covered this game. Even I was able to complete this game 100% so it's nice to see him be able to play a game that isn't too super taxing every now and then.

I love sweet potatoes. They taste so good with apple butter. Oh and Stick of Truth is sweet.
The Jew class is basically the "the pain will only make me stronger!" character as a role
@ThePhoenixKing pretty much.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
'Jew, huh. So I guess we can never truly be friends.'
yeah
Did anyone actually pick any class other than jew?

As a North Carolinian who was taught for many years in grade school about NC's sweet potato crops, those jokes hit home for me. Well done.
As another NC Resident, where the hell are all these Sweet Potatoes? All I have EVERY seen for the last 7 years is corn, soybeans, and cotton!
Sweet potatoes are gross.
I used to think that. It's an acquired taste.
I could have sworn we grew tobacco more than sweet potatoes. Ya learn something new everyday!
tobacco is the main crop here
That bob Ross part was priceless I died
Same here
MUMUMUMUist The real question is where did they get the bob Ross wig
It's probably Alex's beard.
MUMUMUMUist what the wig
Yep

Lol sweet potatoes are good
I love how the name of this video is a reference to the South Park 1999 movie "South Park Bigger Longer and Uncut"
i honestly still prefer its former title , all hell breaks loose, since it makes sense for the plot.
Carson Lindsey true, but a penis joke seems more South Park like.
Huh...? The name of the video is just "South Park: The Stick of Truth | The Completionist"
Chillin' Like a Villain Killin' Krillin well when he uploaded it, it was. He must have changed it.
What was the original title?
The "Bob Ross" searing like crazy segment, very clever. Also, it's a super funny game and I love how they reference the game in the South Park show at the end of the "PS4 vs. XboxOne / Game of Thrones" parody arc.

Definitely a more polished 3D platformer than Yooka-Laylee, even if Jirard will probably disagree

My brother got me this and the fractured but whole. I know I'm late, but I've never had a video game be so funny I had to pause it often.

that "Grey's Anatomy" joke must hit pretty hard considering that two of the lead designers work on Rick and Morty and the Game Grumps show "Good Game"
to be fair, in 2020 comedy is basically forbidden because everyone gets offended at everything.
