Hi all. Just an update. I have tested a diffirent headset than the one we reviewed and this one did heat up on the outside while playing with the led lights on and only after about 1.5 hours... just take note... it did not effect my ears or anything as the heat was build up outside
they look really really cool but due to other reviews and comments saying that it heats up and mic is bad etc..i decided to go for Rampage X-Titan they cost about 4 euros more then these and they have really good reviews and mic

I'm saving up this is my first time planning to buy some gaming accesories. Hope you review more headsets and other peripherals not just fantech. Thank you.
I personally prefer the hg11, it's not much more expensive than the hg15. But its worth it, it has really comfortable ear cups with an overear design. Its mic quality is also really good! We are still busy with the review, but it will be coming soon!
I would also recommend the Mk882 or Mk884 keyboard, you can buy them on jammed.co.za. They are very decent! I have the mk882. And for a mouse, I'd suggest the Fantech Hero, or the Daredevil, I prefer the design on the daredevil, but the Hero has lift off detection like the steelseries. But the review is also im process.

I have this headset and have used it for long gaming sessions in cs:s. Only bad thing I cant think off is that the bass is completely missing this headset has very very very low bass sounds. Otherwise it works pretty good for that cheap price. (Bought mine from wish.)

Hi. I personally love the HG11, as the HG15 has smaller ear cups and I have big ears. But, I recently recieved the HG23 and I'm in love with it. So If you can, try and get the HG23. Review on it coming soon.
For those who are thinking of buying them, do not do it, I did it and after 4 months they began to fail me (if I do not have the earpiece to the maximum, it is heard on one side much lower than on the other), as the guarantee was covered by the change and the same thing happens again. don't make the same mistake as me :)
Hi Epic, yes, it is very lightweight. We have been using one for the last 4 months now and it is comfortable after long gaming sessions. If your ears feels heated after 3 - 4 hours, just lift up the ear cup to let fresh cool air in. If you have big ears, you might feel it on your ear tips after a while, so hence I suggest just lifting up the ear cups after a few hours of gaming.

Hi all, I have this headset but people in-game complain that my mic is either too soft or really fuzzy, does anyone know what settings is the best for the microphone to stop those things from happening?
i have this headset, and it is a great headset. but for the long term use, it will be degrading. i used it for almost a one year and the ear cup is degraded but other than that it is still usable
My laptop suddenly didn't read my headphone (same headphone model of course) it says "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it." Please to anyone who reads this, I badly need your help, this is my first gaming headphone that I got..
have you tried every usb slot in your laptop? or try plugging the headset to a different desktop/laptop to see if it is working or the headset's usb plug is broken
This is the most bang for the buck in Fantech's virtual 7.1 lineup, if outside appearances is not that much of a game changer for you. I personally wish I shelled out some cents more to get a higher level model just because I don't like the grayish plastic of HG15. Octane is such an eye candy for me, especially with its metal cups. I'd get that if my budget wasn't tight.
Not as per my testing. I have heard of people using a USB-C to USB-A converter to use the headset on their smartphones, but not sure about the quality of the audio then.
@@mercifulman7682 Hi, we have searched a bit and apparently you can use a OTG Cable (USB ON THE GO CONNECTER/CABLE) to connect a USB Headset to your phone. Note that the audio will work fine but the mic might not work on all phone models.

X9 thor is good gaming mouse. I use that and its cool.. 4800dpi

I USED THE X5S ZEUS MOUSE, PANTHEON MK871 KEYBOARD AND HG15 HEADSET. THEY ARE VERY CHEAP AND ITS JUST AS GOOD AS HYPERX OR LOGITECH PRODUCTS.

Yea, the headset is very durable, even if it falls or so, it wont take much damage. It should last very long as any high end headset.

Take it back to the shop where you bought it, it could be a factory error, they should replace it. Unless its past its warranty.

Try tweaking your microphone settings on your Windows Sound Settings

Might be as the 7.1 features are done with the drivers within the headset. I am not completely sure why windows picks it up as stereo.

The Microphone on mine was absolutely horrid.. The speakers were wired in reverse phase making the Bass sound horrible..
