I’m sure they are making a good sequel, and I want to believe it, cause I like this type of games (games like Spooky Jumpscare mansion) and it would be cool if they added some extra rooms where you can find an info about the hotel and floor 2. I’m actually impressed by the developers. The manage to make awesome plushies and make huge updates at the same time. I just hope new monsters will be iconic and they will have a different play style
after the update comes it will regain its popularity, same thing happened with hotel+ and super hard mode, why wouldnt it happen again, especially since its a whole new chapter to doors, not just a gamemode. i just realized you forgot bob in the list of entities and items from the hotel+ update you mentioned

The doors and the truth they rolled down after the update on January 29, the players were 200K-300K and then the players started to fall and when hardcore started, they again climbed 100K or 200K and after April 9, they started to roll down 20-60K Players
Yeah, Doors is mainly dying to a lack of updates, because there hasn’t been one for about 3 or 4 months. Back then, there were 40,000 concurrent players, but it has now dropped to only 36,200 concurrent players, which means Doors has lost almost 10% of its playerbase. This is a medium paced downfall. Let’s say every 3 months, Doors loses 10% of its players as demonstrated. If Doors had 90% of its players at the start of the year (which is simulated to be 36,200 players), at the end, Doors would only have 50% of its playerbase which is around 20,000 concurrent players, which means Doors lost 16,200 players in the span of one year. This isn’t a fast downfall, but a medium-paced one as said. Once floor 2 comes out, if it ever does, I estimate the concurrent player count will skyrocket to about 60,000 concurrent players before falling again, this time, most likely, once and for all.
I feel like i dont really play that much doors since after the hotel + update and the player count going down to 30k, seeing these fanmade games are cool and kinda better than the original doors and we havent gotten news yet if doors will update soon but still if people says its dying but i dont think its gonna die soon since there maybe a chance they might rise again they are also still getting massive amounts of players, devs have responsibilities on working on a 24/7 game so be patient until they update it.

That can’t be true because even bigger games such as Blox Fruits & Brookhaven get hundreds of thousands of players every single day. (sometimes 500K)
