- Hi! I am Barbie! I quit my job and left my whole life behind in America to move to an island in the Philippines. Which I never even heard of until 2 months before moving. Siargao Island has become my new home for the past year and a half. I love Siargao's beauty, but the real reason I stay here is because it is where I feel at home. I feel like I was Filipina in my past life... haha char! Pero talaga, I love the people here more than anything, and forever appreciate filipino culture.
I share some of my story of selling ice cream as a street vendor on a famous bridge in Siargao, and how I discovered this magical island.

I think it's good that you will now have your own ice cream shop, but the foot traffic won't the same as the ones on the bridge. It's really fun to watch your vlog. I actually enjoy your vlog more than those foreigners in the Philippines that just vlog and does not really assimilate to our culture. All they do is document their vacation promoting fancy places which majority of filipinos cannot afford. Atleast you are actually working to make a living. They are just in our country to live a fancy life. A life they cannot afford in their country. Thank you for sharing.
