I'm 60 yrs old and I love music like I love eating great food. So many many different types to choose from! I have my very very favorite and some very favorite- some great but not too often and some I don't care for and some I just don't want to avoid. I don't judge people who don't like what I like but love to share what I love with those that love what I love. It's like intimacy- not just the exchange of body fluids, which can be really great, but all the levels of sharing mind body and Spirit!! Some, once in a while but true intimacy- the kind that I call love- is what I truly want to share and be a part of and when it is good and real and healthy it calls to me and I treasure it for the magic it is. Think about sitting with those who you truly love and sharing great food of all kinds, while music that is loved by all those around the table- not to loud- just enough to flow with the conversation and everyone truly cares about each other. And when it's all done- you cannot wait to do it again. That is often too rare but if you yearn for it and seek to make it a part of yourself and those you want at your table- it's magical. Jim James and My Morning Jacket- are made from and for those times- except you can be alone or with a loved one or a whole table of those you care for. All that said- I want to know why I never hear him on the radio!!!! I have favorite radio stations and love music of almost every kind- the early 70s are my favorite music but I have favorites from all the years since but I have called radio stations and VERY STRONGLY urge them to actually consider bringing Jim to the public. My goodness- if they can play Joan Jett or Guns and Roses or Cold Play, why in the friggin world can't they play MY MORNING JACKET?!!??!
