Our earthly body is created from the dust of this earth, so everything that belongs to the earth belongs to the flesh ,every desires of the flesh belongs to the world . Roman's 8.9 those who are in the flesh can not please God for our God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in Spirit and truth John 4.24 . Our flesh is polluted with sin , Jesus took all our sins upon himself and nailed them on the cross meaning he nailed the flesh on the cross . Everyday we are carrying our cross spiritually and when trails, temptation and tribulations come our way we must be strong to overcome it inorder for the flesh to die we must not give into the desires of the flesh. Ones when sin dies out from the flesh than the life in the Spirit will continue. Galatians 5.16 speaks of Spirit and human nature.Jesus showed us the part, he did it in the physical by nailing the flesh physically on the cross we will do it in the spirit, you will do greater things than I. Say no to sin. Jesus loves you allow the Holy spirit to open the mind of your understanding and you will know.God bless you.
I don't understand this: are you supposed to not desire to be intimate with your wife and not desire tasty food? Is it a sin to want to be with your wife? Is it a sin to eat food that taste good? Are we to fast 24 hours a day? Pray 24 hours a day?
