Especially if you are using the free version of Midjourney. LOL I saw someone on Etsy and they have a AI Artwork and trying to sell it like it is their own work. But there are a few people who do care about the art community and would much rather buy from a legitimate artist.
You can't sell images with the free version of Midjourney, as you don't get commercial rights. The risk of all digital downloads is that people can steal your work, that doesn't apply just to artwork, but to pricing guides, websites, planners, etc. Might as well not start anything then...

I have a question you might be able to answer???... I create comics ,so when I go to comic- con I use these sizes...36x48...24x36...18x24...11x17, how would I find the pixel sizes for these printed posters?
Hi Mark. Your video is truly informative. Thank you. Can you show me how or where you got the pixel conversion you used here please? I'm trying to convert for other aspect ratios as well. The one that says “OPTIMAL PIXEL SIZES FOR EACH ASPECT RATIO”? 🙏
Hi! I hope you can help me with the XnConvert part. I use the resize/canvas resize and check the keep ratio on both but i have white lines under or next to the generated image. Tried all the aspct ratio whith this same problem.:S
What is creative market exactly? (can't find your vid on that). Will it allow you to create autoplace images like placeit does? (placeit doesn't have many options for picture frame mockups either). Thank you
Hi Mark, thanks for the very informative content! I believe in one of your other videos you had mentioned a fifth aspect ratio ('International') that typically is required when resizing the images and offering products on Etsy. Can you please re-confirm the details (i.e. pixels etc.). Thanks a lot!
Hey Mark, thanks for creating these videos and sharing tools and tips. I've tried XN convert but I keep having white space when converting images (using the same width and height for resize + canvas resize) Not sure what I'm doing wrong? Or better: any suggestions on how to improve the output?
rather than using fill i found that unchecking the "keep ratio" in the top box while leaving "fit" in the drop down had a more consistent result. Your image will stretch slightly but the boundaries of your image will not be cut off and the image will remain centered. Its not perfect but that is the issue with resizing. You can either keep the image the same way it is and enlarge it but then you will crop some of the image. Unfortunately there isnt a way to have both
So AI images don't have copyright, that means you don't own the images. If you sell one, it doesn't belong to the buyer either. And when the court rulings are through, can someone then come and charge the buyer or even take it away from him?
I'm not a lawyer, but the images are sold using commercial rights from Midjourney's basic plan. So that covers both the seller and the buyer in this instance.
Why are you using those specific values for the aspect ratios? Such as 4800x6000. As I understand it, an aspect ratio is the proportion between width and height, so an image can be 1000x1250 pixels and still be at a 4:5 aspect ratio. Could you please explain why are you using those specific sizes?
4800x6000 is a high enough resolution for that aspect ratio to make it suitable for printing. The same applies to the rest of the aspect ratios, I found these pixel dimensions work best for printing.
Hey Mark. I really enjoy your Videos. You are a faster talker, so usually I slow down the video speed to keep up :). QUESTIONS related to Creating Printable Art for Download v.s. Creating Art for Print on Demand? In this video you talked about enhancing the image with UpScaling and creating 4 different Ratios -- 3x3, 3x4, 4x5 and 11x14. I have TWO QUESTIONS: (1) for your mockups on Etsy what size are your images? (2) and if you go the Print On Demand route, do you have to create images at different ratios as well or do you create just one size and the Print on Demand shop takes care of the different ratios. I'm getting ready to get the ball rolling so I'm hoping you can answer these questions for me.........thanks
Hey! Many thanks for tuning in! Let me try and answer these: 1) The international size works best for most mockups, but not all. If you have a Photoshop mockup, then going into the Smart Object and checking out the image size helps. Then you can input that image size into XnConvert and resize the images to the exact dimensions of the mockup 2) If you go the POD route, you will have to go to Printify and create the mockups there. The sizes depend on what the print provider you choose offers. Unfortunately, this process can't be automated, you need to manually fill in each image to the print provider's mockup. Hope this helps!
Hi Mark - Congratulations on an informative set of videos! Apologies if this question has been asked/answered elsewhere - I'm struggling to figure out where and how images are converted to something greater than 96 DPI (300 DPI?) so their resolution is suitable for printing. Can you help me out please?
@@markonbusiness Thanks Mark! I had been looking at Topaz Gigapixel AI to figure out where I can set the PPI and couldn't find the setting, however after further investigation I discovered that by changing the Resize Mode from Scale to either Width or Height the PPI setting becomes available.
Hi Mark, can you link us to your shop which makes that amount of money of the Etsy shop you showed us? Since you chose this title you definitely have done the same, right?
Is it titled "I Make"? or am I specifically talking about a shop that makes that money backed by Etsy analytical data to show as proof? Did I claim to make the same? Please point to those segments in the video, if you'd be so kind.
You can't set the exact dimensions of the different aspect ratios in Topaz as you can in XNConvert. It would stretch the image and mess up the proportions. That's exactly why the canvas resize action helps.

Due to file size limitations within Etsy, you are forced to rely on 3rd party sources for bigger files.
thank you for this great video. Just a note... the Batch Image Resizer is not free for commercial use unfortunately. It's possible to buy a license however it is quite unclear what you can do with one license (as they offer multiple). Do you happen to know anything about their licensing? thanks in advance :)
I don't think you need the commercial version, to be honest. Nobody can verify how you resized the images you are selling.
good content liked and subbed
Great Video !
Thank you!
I have a question you might be able to answer???... I create comics ,so when I go to comic- con I use these sizes...36x48...24x36...18x24...11x17, how would I find the pixel sizes for these printed posters?
I see it now...I would acually have to change the art to fit a future canvas size.
Hi Mark. Your video is truly informative. Thank you. Can you show me how or where you got the pixel conversion you used here please? I'm trying to convert for other aspect ratios as well. The one that says “OPTIMAL PIXEL SIZES FOR EACH
ASPECT RATIO”? 🙏
Hi! I hope you can help me with the XnConvert part. I use the resize/canvas resize and check the keep ratio on both but i have white lines under or next to the generated image. Tried all the aspct ratio whith this same problem.:S
Under the resize action, you need to select Mode: Fill. That way it fills the canvas with the entire image.
@@markonbusiness Thanky you for the fast reply! Your channel is very helpful, keep up the good work and have a nice day! :)
What is creative market exactly? (can't find your vid on that). Will it allow you to create autoplace images like placeit does? (placeit doesn't have many options for picture frame mockups either). Thank you
Creative Market is just an e-commerce platform like Etsy. You can't make mockups there.
Thank you
Did you close your print designs shop ?
Closed as I'm converting it to print-on-demand. Video on that soon! :)
Good video
Hi Mark, when uploading to Etsy do you need to state it’s AI generated?
Hey! You most certainly can, it's up to you.
I would be honest. They can drop it in a visual Google search to find out and u will lose credibility
Hi Mark, thanks for the very informative content! I believe in one of your other videos you had mentioned a fifth aspect ratio ('International') that typically is required when resizing the images and offering products on Etsy. Can you please re-confirm the details (i.e. pixels etc.). Thanks a lot!
The size is 5906x8268 pixels
key factor : they started ages ago...
They did. They put the work in and succeeded. The products are easy to make, running and maintaining the shop isn't, so it's not for everybody.
You had 3 sales in your store over a few weeks?
Yes, it's been 2 weeks
Liked & Subscribed....Thank you very much! Will absolutely be watching more.
Thank you and welcome aboard! :)
@@markonbusiness Thank you Mark! I appreciate you responding. I REALLY want this to work, Sincerely, Bret
So you are running a shop with 6 sells and talking about other shops that are making thousands of $? Great... Another one 😂
Hey, thanks for the feedback! My shop has only been open for less than 30 days.
Still that's not the point. Anyway good luck reaching 15k a month. Then make a video
Thank you! :)
I will try this out, I just lost my job so I might as well give it a go. You have a new subscriber!
Thank you and sorry to read that ! Hope it all works out :)
@@markonbusiness Thank you. Is there any certain aspect ratio you recommend to make the pictures in or is it best to go with 16:9?
Hey Mark, thanks for creating these videos and sharing tools and tips. I've tried XN convert but I keep having white space when converting images (using the same width and height for resize + canvas resize) Not sure what I'm doing wrong? Or better: any suggestions on how to improve the output?
Hey! Under the resize action, you need to select Mode: Fill. That way there is no crop, it will fill the canvas with your image.
@@markonbusiness hey mark I hit fill but the image is now larger then the canvas
rather than using fill i found that unchecking the "keep ratio" in the top box while leaving "fit" in the drop down had a more consistent result. Your image will stretch slightly but the boundaries of your image will not be cut off and the image will remain centered. Its not perfect but that is the issue with resizing. You can either keep the image the same way it is and enlarge it but then you will crop some of the image. Unfortunately there isnt a way to have both
this is great!
Thank you!
thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching! :)
Thank You Mark 🍁☺
You are very welcome
That was really informative.
Thank you! :)
your the best.
Thank you! 🙏
Fantastic!
Many thanks!
No you don't.
Brilliant!
Thank you!
Fake news
Why are you using those specific values for the aspect ratios? Such as 4800x6000. As I understand it, an aspect ratio is the proportion between width and height, so an image can be 1000x1250 pixels and still be at a 4:5 aspect ratio. Could you please explain why are you using those specific sizes?
4800x6000 is a high enough resolution for that aspect ratio to make it suitable for printing. The same applies to the rest of the aspect ratios, I found these pixel dimensions work best for printing.
Aspect ratio and resolution are entirely different!
I have TWO QUESTIONS:
(1) for your mockups on Etsy what size are your images? (2) and if you go the Print On Demand route, do you have to create images at different ratios as well or do you create just one size and the Print on Demand shop takes care of the different ratios.
I'm getting ready to get the ball rolling so I'm hoping you can answer these questions for me.........thanks
Hey! Many thanks for tuning in! Let me try and answer these:
1) The international size works best for most mockups, but not all. If you have a Photoshop mockup, then going into the Smart Object and checking out the image size helps. Then you can input that image size into XnConvert and resize the images to the exact dimensions of the mockup
2) If you go the POD route, you will have to go to Printify and create the mockups there.
Hey! Thank you.
You would need to use Topaz AI to increase the DPI.
Please point to those segments in the video, if you'd be so kind.
your video is blurry
Doesn't topaz AI also allow you to bulk resize?
Not in the same way as XNConvert, where you can resize the canvas as well
@@markonbusiness is changing the dimensions in topaz not doing the same thing?
You can't set the exact dimensions of the different aspect ratios in Topaz as you can in XNConvert. It would stretch the image and mess up the proportions. That's exactly why the canvas resize action helps.
