Coming here after seeing the #ElvisMovie and LOTS of Austin's interviews over the years and I'm very impressed by what an engaged listener he is. When someone else is speaking you can tell he's very intent and takes in every word. He seems like a very introspective and caring person. I hope he stays grounded and Hollywood doesn't change him.

Austin ALWAYS gives credit where credit is due...his trainer, etc. He IS a wonderful listener when someone else is speaking. He's all ready so "seasoned" long before ELVIS hit. You can see he was ready for ELVIS and what it brought him. He definitely was on the precipice, he just needed someone like Baz Luhrmann to push him into the next step.

+lostn65 She really did the accent quite well. Whereas I could tell that Ivana Banquero was not American, but wasn't sure what she was. I certainly didn't expect that she was the girl from Pan's Labyrinth.

Why didn't Poppy have a bigger role in the second season? She only had a few scenes, I thought their love story would have gone on. Must say season 2 was awesome and it just built and built to a gripping last episode.

need season 2 is better than games of trone..
So far I like the series. I thought Austin wood be an asshat, but he was good and big props for not using a dumb accent. Poppy can't act and her expressions are not natural. Her scenes with Lorin are awful and cheesy. The only great thing Poppy did was kill off that terrible actor who played Lorin. This series could be good but I worry about the acting. Mainly, Poppy and Manu could kill the series with terrible accents and awkward acting. Eretria was great.

I somewhat agree with you about Poppy, though my big problem is the same I have with other actresses, which is that when they "cry," there are no tears. That's annoying, and not necessarily an acting problem. But Manu? He's the best part of the series. I understand Terry Brooks made a book just of Allanon. I wish they'd make that book into a series with Manu.
+Melvin Collins well you have to think it about it this way Austin had tons of experience of acting while poppy doesn’t and Ivana also had tons of experience but there was a reason why the producer chose these characters because even if poppy does lack in the acting world he chose her for a reason besides her looks. As the show goes on the acting will get better probably.

I don’t think they talk like that. If anything they seem very excited to have done the show they did and we’re down to earth. They were enthusiastic.
