Music can be a way to escape real life when you can’t make sense of it and having your own enhanced universe comes in handy at times. I slowly lost interest in fiction, mythology and made up stories, feeling the world around us is as wild as it gets. The more I observe the more I feel the desire to make music a space to explore and I am slowly feeling more comfortable working on music I don’t understand immediately. Live performances with my group, working with Obi Blanche and Ellen Treasure shaped the music further. This first track called ‘Love, Disorderly’, recorded with a Dutch orchestra, is accompanied by a film from director Laurent Chanez. I feel he managed to capture a ‘soul of the world’ in a series of observations made throughout 2019. It reads as if you were flipping through the pages of a book, of a National Geographic magazine, through Instagram stories and the news. I heard the track for the first time in the cinema to Equalizer 3 and I immediately thought: what an epic track. It just fits perfectly to the movie. I have goosebumps every time I hear the song.
Sometimes words can't express what we want to say with our souls, heard this song on Equalizer 3, since the first sound of the distortion followed by those violin.....just touched deep inside me....wow, what a master piece!!!!!!
There are many underrated artists I love but I always thought the way the wider musical world, even alternative one, completely seems to omit Azier is easily the most criminal example out there.
the 2:50 this sounds exactly like john wick 4 soundtrack played in japan part of the movie. such an epic sound this low silent bass becoming stronger and stronger. and of course some similarities to The Saw movies soundtrack
