First Day of R211S Staten Island Railway Operation!

- Today, October 8, 2024, R211S Service fully began running on the Staten Island Railway! Cars 100-104 ran in service today doing multiple trips to/from St. George and Tottenville. Enjoy an amazing sight on the SIR!

R68a was pregnant for so long since 2019 and she was supposed to have twins that where identical and r211t is adopted child or her aunt gave birth to r211t, the doctors stopped sir r211 from being born at the same time as r211a because of birth defects due to r68a being fat

The announcements are extremely important. Are you referring to the, “this is an accessible station” announcements, or all of them? These R211s are the only reason I would ever consider riding the SIR in future. Systems without automated announcements are really a pain in the ass to try and use for a variety of reasons.
As for the accessible station bits, it’s important to know which stations have elevators and what not and which don’t. A city like DC doesn’t need those because every one of their stations is already wheelchair accessible. New York is still working on that. Also, knowing where the accessible feature is on a platform is definitely useful for someone who can’t see it, such as me. I’m really glad the SIR is joining the 21st century and finally getting announcements. I wish other cities would get the hint. Cough cough, St. Louis. Was just there last month. No automated announcements. Real pain in the ass to use their system.
Can we talk about how Velina Mitchell didn't actually sound garbage?? She's improving.

@@ZigZagggy it's not Sewell, if you listen to what she sounds like vs this it's different. She also doesn't even voice the "the NYPD is located at this station" announcement

@@Sylveonkpopnyct True, but a fair number of them are easily excitable, if you know what I mean. Not trying to be sarcastic here but I’ve seen a few fans “on the spectrum.” They’re all good kids and if a new train on SI makes them happy, let ‘em have some fun. The SIR ride is usually pretty chill so a little happy yelling never hurts 😀
