I feel like the more Steve gets to Glitchtrap the more challenging it becomes with Glitchtrap using Steve and Bryan against him to break him down and gain more control over Steve. I feel like old animatronic from will eventually make their appearances to throw Steve off to give Glitchtrap more time to recover from what Gator did.

Edit: It feels like Steve is in a maze of nothing but fears and worries used against him. One is, not being believed, which could have, or most likely been caused by the others not believing Steve when he tried to tell them about Van, and the fear of being hated by something that's out of his control, and like everyone else in the comments, it is being used against him, and is most likely being used against Bryan as well

That actually what’s happening if you really think of about it. Glitchtrap using Steve’s insecurities and his problems against him in the form of his friends by putting him in situations that he didn’t have any part in or control over and pinning the blame on him as a way to distract him and slow him down but Steve finds a way to overcome they in his head by finding the exit and entrance to the next area

it looks like the closer steve gets closer to glitchtrap the area becomes more glitchy.
I think these areas are representations of previous locations in this series. The first location, the pizzeria. The second location, the forest in Freddy Land. And maybe...this location will be Star Mall, or the Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria that's inside Star Mall.
Ok but was it just me, but when Steve jumped in the green Lake looking for an exit, I immediately thought of the UCN/FNAF World old man consequences lake. 😂
