Highland Wedding is usually what people play in a MSR set for entertainment not so much solo competition. You ought to be thinking of something more technical like the 93rd at Modder River or Huge Kennedy.
I remember Highland Wedding well, as a learner back in 1980 with the City of Melbourne Pipe Band. They were all learning it and trying to get it right. In the 40 years after, with all the bands I was in, I never played it. It's a nice 4 part 2/4, the only thing I would say is whenever I hear it, I wish they would bring the tempo down a bit.
When someone offers perspicacious comments it is a sign of weakness to then make disparaging remarks about their personality. According to you I am somehow Lonely? Somehow sad? and somehow little? I won't venture to guess what form of mental constipation afflicts you. When someone says something you don't like to attack them personally shows that you are a weakling. @@Callllum
No one ever taught this guy that if he doesn’t have anything nice to say he should stay quiet. 🤫 🤐 yes, yes, I know this is the internet, but is this really necessary⁉️

There’s plenty of skills in the faster and faster exercises, for that’s all you seem to hear nowadays, but no tune. When you’ve heard one set of exercises, you’ve heard them all. Really boring really quickly.
Please stop playing these overplayed old tunes that we have all heard countless times. Try and do something fresh. Pipes are boring enough without sticking to the same old tunes for years and years.
For those of us that are still learning the foundations of higher level playing, we appreciate these kinds of examples. Reachable and well played. 🎵 I’m a drummer and this is a great version to play along with. Very controlled and rock steady! 🎵 🥁
These are classics, like Lord Alexander Kennedy and Arniston Castle, and will never stop being played
Great to see Brian Donaldson back doing his thing. Two top level players 👍🏴🎼
I've just found my MSR for next year. What a set 👏👏👏

A great set of march, strathspey and reel
Ich hatte bei Willi Unterricht und es ist eine der nettesten Lehrer die ich kenne und er hat uns auch viel beigebracht.
Absolutely beautifully played. I played this very M,S,R and nobody ever called entertainment value. You play it and play it well William Richmond.

Excellent execution and expression
Iam not surprised look who's playing
Phrasing could be improved in 5th section.
Here, this guy is practicing his comments for his audition as a piping judge, however, me thinks he misses the mark 🎯… 🎵
What mark did I miss?@@petesdrum

No music, mechanical playing.

No skills in acknoweledging the applause, like fish out of water.

You missed the point entirely. Read it again.
