So Ladies and gentlemen, what do you think of the story? took me awhile to make because I feel like there's a lot more explaining needed because we got a lot of information about this GOAT country of Arknights. I hope this summary will help you understand the story more. And since this German name aren't easy to pronounce, if it's sound weird, please bear with it
I think the saddest part of this event is just how Kriede’s death was inevitable… From the beginning to the concert there was never a chance that he was going to get a happy ending…
Still so undeniably upset that I called it. I knew that mother fucker was way too soft natured and had that “wise best friend” personality to have any survivable odds against the plot
The saddes part is that there, in fact, was a chance. And only that chance would have given Ebenholz happy ending as well. Just like when they were children subjected to inhumane experiments, and only two of them left alive so they both knew whoever goes next would be sent to torture and most certain death. Ebenholz almost volunteered to be the next lab rat to save Kreide, but Kreide had saved him by volunteering first. During the concert, they were in the same situation. Eben decided to take Kreide's Witch King's Voice when things were getting out of control, but Kreide had planned to do the same for Eben long before the concert had begun, he didn't hesitate, just like he didn't hesitate when he was a kid. I think the saddest part about Kreide's death is the fact that Kreide's altruistic sacrifice pretty much egoistically denyed Eben the chance to do the only meaningful and brave thing in his life. If Eben managed to save Kreide, Kreide would have been traumatized, but Kreide saved Eben, again, and he isn't traumatized or saved, he's destroyed. "Maybe it's because it's the first time I've ever felt life was worth living", - Ebenholz literal thoughts about the time he was with Kreide. His life before was utter sh*t, and now after he couldn't save Kreide again, his life is a pure nightmare. Yet he can't allow himself to drown in self-hatred, he can't throw away a life saved by the only person he cared about in the world, because doing so would be the third betrayal. There is no therapy or treatment to heal his inability to forgive himself. That's why he was glad to get Oriphaty from Kreide's body, as a desired and deserved punishment that will let Kreide to take the live he owns him back sooner. That's why he keeps avoiding Hibiscus because she knows the truth, that's why he doesn't allow Rhodes Island to take care of his hadaches. He thinks he deserve every bit of it. What happened is the worst possible ending for both of them, absolutely hate (love) it, especially the epilogue part in Eben's operator records. The most beautiful tragedy i have ever read, will never get over it. It's been almost a year, but i just bought a new skin for brother Eben and got triggered again, lol UPD: Come to think of it, the only thing that could possibly ease Eben's pain a bit is revenge against (Voldemort) Witch King. Redirecting some hatred towards the bastard who made their life a nightmare. I hope he'll get that. Not that it would actually help, but just a bit is better than nothing at all, isn't it.
One thing to notice is that while the voice remains in Eben's head, it changed. At first, it was wrathful and arrogant, by the end of the event, it sounded way more calm and collected, more "complete". As if the King had regained couscous.
Ngl, I see this as the Witch King reverting to his pre-Witch King personality. The guy who cared for his people. Also, I can see this as Kriede's personality fusing itself with the Witch King itself hence why its more calm and collected. Not gonna lie, I began tearing up while typing this.
For what it's worth, his archive story does show a bit of that after his first field mission. I'm pretty sure Doctor and the others in RI can help him find happiness and solace, slowly but surely.
I hope he'll do, hopefull he'd find new purpose in his new life! Speaking of purpose, I wonder If we'll get to see him again in possibly another Lethainia event involving the caprinae woman _(forgot her name, but you know who)_

The witch king didnt invade the concert though… the point of the concert was to draw out the witch king (at first from eben and kriede to czerny) but because of gertrude’s meddling it becomes too much for them to take, leading to kriede sacrificing himself to take the brunt of the witch king’s melody
Ebenholz' suffering is mostly emotional. Eyja's suffering is mostly physical. We can't compare them. ...But yeah, come on HG, stop bullying the goats :(((

Is it weird that Eben's situation mirrors Talulah's? They both have voices in their heads (Although it's implied the Deathless Black Snake is either dormant in Talulah's head or entirely gone).
That kind of implies that, if the situations are real parallels, the state of being the Witch King achieved is similar to or equal to DBS & co, something an otherwise ordinary person can achieve through Arts. Maybe means DBS did too, maybe not.
The art that can destroy a vanguard of the most powerful nation in Terra at the time from the witch king I just wonder how the two empress managed to kill him and thank you for this God tier summary
well there is always surprise, I mean the abyssal hunter did manage to defeat a sea born god(ishar mla), far more powerful than some witch king that can create who knows how big the tsunami to all terra and begin the great silence and that god can be awakened
@@hermanwillem7057 Some have made contact and fight that how we got Patriot as being called the strongest soldier of Terra, and it is confirmed that he fought and won against: Victoria steam soldier, against Silverlance of Kazimierz, Apostolic Knights of laterano, and the Eldritch Demon that are Attacking Yan. But yeah most of the godlike entities of Ak(witch king, Ishar mla, The true sui,etc) that have power that literally break the power scaling are pretty much chilling on their own, thet don't really pick fight directly with others of similar power so putting them on a scale is impossible. Honestly it feel like that they tried to have a power scale then added godslike being and said to hell with the scale.

Oooh it's here I find this story easy to understand its big picture. But the details are all vague Like why Czerny want to do the Voice transfer during his concert, while it is implied he can just do it at home. And can you change the Song last minute like that in a concert in real life?
The concert hall itself is an arts amplifier, I believe they needed that greater power to actually be able to execute on the plan in full. It's mentioned that the building itself is like this, and then Gertrude went and made it even more powerful for her own plans. Czerny wasn't aware of all of Gertrude's modifications, so he didn't know it would get as big and dangerous as it did, like putting the audience in danger. He just wanted to use it how he thought it was, without Gertrude's tampering, and unfortunately he was wrong and misjudged the extent of what she had done. From what I understand, anyway.
@@SerenDark Pretty much. By the time he realized the extent of her plan, it was too late. They already start the performance and stopping at that point means everyone would die and she would win.
In real life though, don't think you can do what Czerny did unless you have godly persuasion to persuade the ones who instigated the concert and believe your companions can perform the new song on the fly (which is already a risky move).

A good and a sad story but I'm surprise you not show the scene with Hibiscus share her food with Czerny, Eben and Kreide and the scene when Hibiscus play a music for Lava and she run saying it's was the worst sound she heard.
@@aidiruikki This person *literally* can no longer read anymore! Nah, it's more of a case of reading being time-consuming rather than being difficult. Clearing event stages can take quite a bit of time, and reading takes even more time. Growing up usually results in taking more responsibilities in life, and those responsibilities may take more time and effort than before. Some people may still have the free time to do that, but others do not.
Ominous as it was, I find it funny THE Witch King tried giving Eben this foreboding monologue only for Eben to tell him if he didn't shut up he'd off himself, which the Witch King does without a second thought. Powerful as the Witch King was, he's no longer in a position of control, at least not yet.
Arknights only knows two story types: funny/ nice slice of life stories and downright emotional damage. And then there is Ceobe's IS1 that is both. "Haha dumb dog high" then "She is dying and finally feels home"

I would love for the witch king to come back as a main villain in the story. An Arknights version of Sauron or the dark lord who wants to spread darkness through out Terra would be awesome
I keep wondering why is the witch king's melody is called the voice of 'Terra'...what is also curious is that many strong beings in the world of Arknights are related to music/voices like the Witch king , skadi/Ishar mla.
After fun summer event, and melancholy but hopeful ending from Nearl and Silverash story, or neutral tone from Nian sister, dreadful but heroic from Abyss hunter event, we have a full onbrand Arknight tragedy. From the world, the hero and villian, it full of tragedy that make you have want to say "Why it have to end this way" Also, does it nessessary to make Getrude THAT hot and kill her off in just one event like this..... man....
I still don't understand something. Why the boss start killing himself during the fight? Is Kreide that is somehow taking control over the witch king or this doens't have a correlation with the story whatsoever?
Given that Kreide's Oripathy condition was very terminal, you could infer that the Witch King's newly formed vessel was slowly dying because of it so he couldn't stay that way for long
@@granmastersword While that's an interesting theory, if you look close enough at the sprite, you can actually see boss Kreide kinda "cut himself" with the bow of the cello, thus depleting his HP. Also Kreide taking over for a bit doesn't seem all that farfetched, when a section of the boss fight consists of him helping us kill some of the enemies tbh. Though the whole Oripathy thing is still possible, not ruling it out, it could've of course contributed.
My interpretation is that kreide just wanted the entire town to witness his last performance (based on in-game dialogue) since he's gonna die anyway, but under the voice of terra influence those performance will definitely be disastrous so eben needs to stop kreide. This reflected on the boss behavior inside the stages where we can just let the boss circling the stage reducing it's own hp while we deals the finishing blow to phase 1 and 3, and the "stun when blocked" trait strengthen the fact that the boss just wanted to be left alone

i still think the single most important char in this is Gertrude, without her we be stuck in this one dimensionals char fest, even Hibis is irrelevant here and can be changed by other medics. the "prophecy" just made bcs she's there nothing important
The new operators were such a wasted oportunity. An event completely focused around music, we even get a great musician as welfare, and still NOT A SINGLE new bard operator. It was the perfect oportunity to have the first welfare bard, imagine the czerny playing piano while deployed (bard operators get very good animations), his first skill has him playing with more emotion, and the second the "death march" like when he was composing that last piece, coughing bloood while hammering away the keys. Such a shame.

The concert hall itself is an arts amplifier, I believe they needed that greater power to actually be able to execute on the plan in full. It's mentioned that the building itself is like this, and then Gertrude went and made it even more powerful for her own plans. Czerny wasn't aware of all of Gertrude's modifications, so he didn't know it would get as big and dangerous as it did, like putting the audience in danger. He just wanted to use it how he thought it was, without Gertrude's tampering, and unfortunately he was wrong and misjudged the extent of what she had done. From what I understand, anyway.
@@SerenDark Pretty much. By the time he realized the extent of her plan, it was too late. They already start the performance and stopping at that point means everyone would die and she would win.
In real life though, don't think you can do what Czerny did unless you have godly persuasion to persuade the ones who instigated the concert and believe your companions can perform the new song on the fly (which is already a risky move).

A good and a sad story but I'm surprise you not show the scene with Hibiscus share her food with Czerny, Eben and Kreide and the scene when Hibiscus play a music for Lava and she run saying it's was the worst sound she heard.
This story is pretty sad, but beautiful as well.

Nah, it's more of a case of reading being time-consuming rather than being difficult. Clearing event stages can take quite a bit of time, and reading takes even more time. Growing up usually results in taking more responsibilities in life, and those responsibilities may take more time and effort than before. Some people may still have the free time to do that, but others do not.

Ominous as it was, I find it funny THE Witch King tried giving Eben this foreboding monologue only for Eben to tell him if he didn't shut up he'd off himself, which the Witch King does without a second thought. Powerful as the Witch King was, he's no longer in a position of control, at least not yet.
Arknights only knows two story types: funny/ nice slice of life stories and downright emotional damage.
And then there is Ceobe's IS1 that is both. "Haha dumb dog high" then "She is dying and finally feels home"
I loved reading the story in this event.

After fun summer event, and melancholy but hopeful ending from Nearl and Silverash story, or neutral tone from Nian sister, dreadful but heroic from Abyss hunter event, we have a full onbrand Arknight tragedy. From the world, the hero and villian, it full of tragedy that make you have want to say "Why it have to end this way"

I still don't understand something. Why the boss start killing himself during the fight? Is Kreide that is somehow taking control over the witch king or this doens't have a correlation with the story whatsoever?
Given that Kreide's Oripathy condition was very terminal, you could infer that the Witch King's newly formed vessel was slowly dying because of it so he couldn't stay that way for long
@@granmastersword While that's an interesting theory, if you look close enough at the sprite, you can actually see boss Kreide kinda "cut himself" with the bow of the cello, thus depleting his HP.
Also Kreide taking over for a bit doesn't seem all that farfetched, when a section of the boss fight consists of him helping us kill some of the enemies tbh. Though the whole Oripathy thing is still possible, not ruling it out, it could've of course contributed.
My interpretation is that kreide just wanted the entire town to witness his last performance (based on in-game dialogue) since he's gonna die anyway, but under the voice of terra influence those performance will definitely be disastrous so eben needs to stop kreide.
This reflected on the boss behavior inside the stages where we can just let the boss circling the stage reducing it's own hp while we deals the finishing blow to phase 1 and 3, and the "stun when blocked" trait strengthen the fact that the boss just wanted to be left alone

The new operators were such a wasted oportunity. An event completely focused around music, we even get a great musician as welfare, and still NOT A SINGLE new bard operator. It was the perfect oportunity to have the first welfare bard, imagine the czerny playing piano while deployed (bard operators get very good animations), his first skill has him playing with more emotion, and the second the "death march" like when he was composing that last piece, coughing bloood while hammering away the keys. Such a shame.
