- Long story short, my Reefkeeper Lite bit the dust. It was time to find a new temperature controller to keep my aquarium in check!
This isn't a perfect temperature controller...I wish it would maintain the set temperature rather than only allowing for 1 degree increases or decreases, but if you are on a budget, this is an excellent way to control both a heating and cooling element!

I actually came here after purchasing it, trying to figure out how to set the values and what they correspond to. For me the really useful part is at the end of the video 😊
Thank you. Best video I've found for this controller.
Do you know if it remembers settings after power goes out or if it's unplugged for a few mins? Thanks for the video!
8:36 The probe of 308S is removable and the 308 is not need to be cut and rewired.
Interesting, thank for sharing!
Thanks for the video!
Just a heads up.
The link is the model with the metal probe,ITC-308, should be the ITC308S.
Thank you! I'll change it!
Definitely worth it and useable thx for sharing champ
Can the heat mat cool too or how can u cool with it
Hi, have you tried on the app? Especially when you received a notification alarm. Mine is i don’t know to turn off the alarm on the app. Can you make a review on that
Can the probe be submerged beyond the metal tip in liquid? Thanks
Can this device only be used to keep a relatively constant temperature? I have another device in a greenhouse that powers on an electric heater when the temperature drops to 4°C & switches off at 18°C. I got an inkbird ITC-308 purely for its WiFi ability but now I'm thinking I can only use it to keep the greenhouse at a constant temperature
Do you have to set your heater at a set temp? Aswel?
when you're going to do the review of the coralife BioCube skimmer version 2
That will be coming out this Friday! I also will be releasing a shorter video about the micro bubble issue some folks are facing!
@@TheFishTankGuy thanks bro
So why is this not ok for a 5 gallon?
There's no reason at all other than the rate of cooling and heating in a very small aquarium is much higher so the controller will kick in and off multiple times - whereas in a larger tank the controller isn't having to work as hard to keep the temperature stable - it's still infinitely better than relying on the thermostat in a heater which are very unreliable especially for a reef tank where stability is the key to success
