The Warriors defense tonight was simply outstanding. To contain Dom Young Ponga and Maju
and score 40 against a team that's won 10 strait awesome.
Champion winning defense that was. Last time Montoya met Young, our man was shook and we got demolished. He came back with a vendetta lastnight, had Young booked right in for a WWE performance 🤣

The knights attack centers around ponga, all they did was shut his space down and the knights folded, something the knights failed to do to johnson

Man, the main thing that really seal the deal for me was just the brilliant defence from the left edge of Montonya and Pompey.
After what has been the weakest link in the warriors defence throughout the couple last rounds and witnessing the turn up of these two when it matters most (the trust between the two in defence was phenomenal) against a strong opposition that utilizes very strongly in offence from Ponga and Young, give them space and they easily become too dangerous.
Witnessing these two shutting these two catalyst down throughout the whole 80 mins was what did it for me.
Take a bow for their performance today.
Great effort from the knights, and humble from Ponga after the interview. Just unfortunate it was the Warriors (k)night today.

It was like watching a EPL football match. The crowd was unbelievable especially the last 20 minutes of the game.
Yea definitely jst came from Mt smart, never heard a noise atmosphere ever like that, not even at Eden Park, best atmosphere ever tonight, even grandpa's were screamin at the top of their lungs tonight lol
We don't have the appreciation, or at least act on, the importance of atmosphere and the home ground advantage of it. If bottom 4 teams fans showed up, they could have a proper chance at home.
@@matthewmcculloch9320exactly mate. Just look at teams such as Everton or Crystal Palace. Sure their quality isn’t comparable to the elite teams, but a game in front of their faithful fans at Goodison/Selhurst Park is never a straightforward ordeal. A crowd can genuinely be a factor in how a team performs if they’re passionate enough.

@@Emanuel-bm9vnyep its all in the energy that the crowd feeds the team. It's why people get goosebumps at such an atmosphere. Thats why they say the crowd acts as another player for a team, its why teams more often than not have better records at home than away. The importance of a passionate atmosphere for a team is most of the time overlooked and should be more realised by all followers of all teams
This is not only a victory for the Warriors,but for the entire NRL fraternity

Easily the best season SJ has had. Been consistent every week running the team. Highlighted even more today with his still dodgey hamstring. Kicked well made all the right passes. Huge hurdle next week but looking good for a chance.
Never thought I'd see Johnston back in form, let alone a contender for Dally M. Webster gives the orders and Johnston executes it to a tee. Even their kicking game, not once did they kick to Young's wing the whole game. He orchestrates the game plan to perfection and has such great vision, positioning and passes this season.
I still think Panthers will take their 3rd title BUT if the Warriors go all the way, I can honestly say there isn't a team that deserves it more especially being their 1st

Knights were terriblly disorganised and NZ shut down Ponga so well. Way too good!
They really missed Hastings at 7
We will do the same game plan with walsh and reynolds (who is carrying an injury ) and will play Penrith just like last years final Souths beat penrith in prelim Penrith beat souths in final . But this time the mighty WAHS will win .
Johnson had a hand in everything, he is an exceptional halfback, maybe the best at this time.
The Warriors are a different side when he is playing!
stay in scotland and watch both Superleague in UK and NRL ( Panthers fan ) and can honestly say that the NRL is way more exciting to watch , more physicality and quicker pace , crowd interaction etc
What an amazing year the NRL has had, so many good games and amazing highlights! Commiserations Knights, sometimes the rub of the green doesn't go your way. Never felt comfortable the Wahs were home until the last 15min.
Have to shut down walsh that will be the key he gets on the outside and creates space out of nothing

We shut down Walsh like we did Ponga who areboth the same speed and we will beat Broncos SJ can Match AR who I reckon is carrying an injury

I'm a rugby fan, have been for 55 years. I enjoyed this game of league very much. Proud display and great crowd. Fingers crossed. The warriors have the skills, personnel and team dynamic. The Broncos will not be taking them lightly. Good luck Warriors. Even I'm hoping and praying for you.

The problem would be it have to be played at Eden Park and no leaugee wants it their even the warriors dont ,but NRL will force it so thy can take seating $$$.
That was a complete performance from the Wah's, and illustrated the influence their top nucleus of players have in directing the team's attack, compared to last week's thumping by the in form Panthers where the nucleus of play makers were absent. A lot of people expected the Knights to knock 'em out this week, but they showed real conviction. I needed this after last week's thumping.
Facts, everyone in the media were talking up the knights all week, glad the boys proved them wrong, UPTHAWAHZ🔥🔥🤦🏽

Awesome game! What was the big chant the crowd were doing? I recognised goodbye about 10 mins from the end of the game but there seemed to be another one breaking out after the match ended or was that just the good bye chant again?
That was the team winning chant: "We are the power. We are the speed. We are the spirit, that's all we f*ckin need. Get out and shout, and say it 'til the end. We are the Warriors 100 percent."
There is a kid friendlier version for the crowd to sing, but I think most people were ripping into this one.

New Zealand needs a second team. Between that and a PNG team, the NRL needs to be divided into two conferences: North and South. The PNG and Warriors clubs and half of the Sydney clubs should be in the North conference, and the other half of Sydney clubs and the second NZ club should be in the South conference.
