Ecoutez, Ecoutez, Ecoutez! I couldn't agree more! Living in Canada and having been fluent in French in the distant past, I can read French reasonably well, but trying to speak to native French speakers is nearly impossible, because I haven't listened to enough spoken French. Your videos are perfect for reminding me of pronunciation as well as reminding me of words I used to know but had forgotten. Merci beaucoup!!

I totally agree, many people don't spend enough time focusing on listening and it shows later on their skills :/

Yes, if not listening enough spoken French at first, or other new languages while learning, hoping only to do the speaking part is quite difficult.

Good video. Trying to learn French and Spanish over the years, I've learned my biggest/frustrating stumbling blocks (that prevent my progressing) are all the different verb tenses/conjugations, and the fast speed at which most people talk (not just in French, but most languages that I've heard). I've reviewed and practiced the grammar rules on conjugating verbs many times (even writing them down, and studying them comparatively, but for some reason they just don't stick with me (my memory is decent on most other things, so not sure why it's such a problem with all the verb conjugations/tenses).
I've always envied people who can easily learn other languages. How someone can learn 8 languages fluently and conjugate correctly in all them, is mind-boggling to those of us who have a harder time (I know there are similarities, but remembering the differences is the challenge for me.)

I actually wonder if people who speak 8 languages can actually master all the conjugations and everything. I have watched many videos of people saying, "I learned French in 1 month", and trust me, he didn't. He can have a specific conversation about a topic but that's about it.
At the end, be kind to yourself, some topics take more time than others ;)

@@FrenchchitchatwithDylane True. Patience is indeed a virtue - and a lifelong lesson.
Strange how we can be kind to others, while at the same time, be so hard on ourselves sometimes.

While listening to this video I had the feeling, that I sit in the french legion recruitment center listening to recruitment officer G.I. Jeanette: - In the legion you do your exercises this and that, you build a good basis with exercises......😁. It is because your green t-shirt. I am curious what kind of sport builds such shoulders you have. Swimming?
