Back before we had hot water heaters and commercial tubs, on Saturdays gramma put the washtub on the floor and the five kids got bathed--from youngest to the oldest. God wanted people (and their clothes) clean before coming up Mt Sinai or coming into his presence. "I think" that's why they had baptisms before required temple celebrations. "I think..." I think about things I read in the Bible. Not everyone reads or thinks.

Please Help me I Believe Jesus Is The Son of God and God The Son of The Holy Trinity I Believe Jesus Shed His Blood and Died in my place to Pay for All my Sins He Was Buried Then 3 Days Later Jesus Arose From The Dead!!! But I am struggling with some Sins that I honestly don’t know how to quit I hate my Sins But I genuinely don’t know how to stop them Am I still Saved because because of my faith in Jesus or am I Not Saved because of my Sins? Thank you for All your Help and Time God Bless you

Hi Monica! I highly recommend you to listen to the whole Study BIble on Romans at least. Pastor Paul says many times that salvation has nothing to do with us, it's ALL about Jesus and what he's done. Nontheless I completely get your point. I see myself there many times. But thanks to listening to Pastor Paul it has been rooted in me the fact that it is not about me and my huge mess ups. "It is finished" Jesus said! It is done. I would say keep reading your Bible and getting to know God personaly through His Word and personal relationship with Him through Christ. You'll see the difference!!! God bless you and make you understand His awesome GRACE!!

Hello Monica , a righteous life is not a sinless life but that of repentance. We all fall short of His glory but when we repent, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from unrighteousness (1John 1:9 ) Ask the Holy Spirit to help you make no provision for sin( Romans 8:26 and John 14:26).

Hey, blessings Monica. I’ve often struggled with sin as well leading me to deep self hatred and shame. I’ve learned that the answer to my temptations is not shame but a continuous turning to Christ as my strength, and the bold statement, in faith, that my flesh is crucified in Christ. If my flesh rises up 1000 times a day, I crucify it a 1000 times. It is frustrating and I wish it was easy, but it works and it is worth it. Blessings!
