Yeah, kudos to the jerk off that organized it. I went to both entrances at the NAS and one was completely barricaded off, the other had a guard that told me there was no air show at the base. Great. Driving home to Portland, a F-16 buzzed the Harbor Bridge. No air show huh? I just went home and got drunk.
@@joshmoore6165 wow, it was all over the news that it was on the bayfront, NOT on base.. but, anyways, I'm positive that in a couple of years they'll do it downtown again and you'll see its a far superior venue. Great show! I especially liked the F-22!
This is beautifully shot. Daughter is inspired to fly after watching Top Gun and seeing the Blue Angels fly at Jones Beach this past weekend. Seeing the close up of these formations shows how incredibly hard these maneuvers are. We shoot and produce ski films. Who knows, next might be flying ones.
Thank you all men and women in blue demonstrating the absolute professionalism and quality of Navy/Marine aviation and also for your service and sacrifice to this great country! God bless you all!
The Blue Angels will always have special memory in my heart. I first saw them fly way back as a 8year old, in California If my memory serves me, Lompoc was the location. The year was 1967, the Blue Angel's flew the Gruman F-11F. I loved these younger years in Southern California, back then sonic booms were fairly common. I still get an endless thrill watching them fly here in N Tx. every other year. Thank you all whom have served and are serving in all the armed forces. Stay Safe, Bee Well Blue Angel's. Shalom
Always in aww when they fly... Good luck to them all after their Blue terms are over. They deserved this break of just hard working fun after real work.... Thanks to all involved.
A wonderful group of Young people, brave and smart. So proud of you all. Thanks for the job you do 😌☺️. Thanks for sharing your life and work with us 😊
Oh my Gawd what an amazing video! I’ve seen the Blue Angels since I was about 10 and I just turned 53 last week I’ve seen them in Pensacola several times. Been there when they returned home from Winter training and they flew right down Orange Beach in Alabama. I’ve seen them 10 to 15 times in Kansas City! Fly Navy wishing you all blue skies and safe flying! Thank to you all for your service to this great country! Great to see them in the new to them Super Hornets and the updated C-130 (Fat Albert)!! You guys are the best of the best out of the fleet and you represent theThe United States Navy and The United States Marine Corps the very best they can be represented! Thank you guys and gals for your service again!
Thanks for taking time to watch the video. Sounds like you got to see a few A4 Skyhawk shows in your day. I think you'll really enjoy seeing the team in their new Super Hornets. It is an amazing sight to see. Cheers!
I have seen the Blues countless times, this team, this early in the season, is looking tight...yall are killing it! Cant wait to see the Blues in South Dakota next year!
That was some of THE best videography I have seen of this team ever. I have been working airshows for longer than I care to remember and this is the cleanest video . The production value is absolutely incredible. Extremely well done!
Thanks, Jim! No real secret behind the videography. I used a Sony A7SII DSLR camera filming at 120fps and slowed the footage down to 24fps for a cinematic effect (and to reduce shake). No tripod involved. I then layered in the natural sounds from the show to enhance the imagery. I really appreciate your comment as videography is not my strongest skillset. Cheers!
Growing up I watched the Blues and the Thunderbirds at the air shows. In High School I had thoughts of becoming a military pilot but life took me in a different direction. After retirement I looked for a hobby and took up remote control flying. Today I fly an F16 Thunderbird and an F/A 18 Blue Angel. Each time I fly one of those planes I have fond memories of seeing them at air shows. The Blues are scheduled to fly at our airport in June 2023. It will be nice to see them again.
Ryan, your work in this channel always gets me on the verge of being brought into tears... of emotion!!!!!. Fantastic message as usual, excellent production work and endless inspiration and motivation right away from the very best bunch of professionals in the whole world!!!!. THANX RYAN!!!!.
Victor, glad you are finding the content on this channel impactful. Being around the 2021 team for 4 days left me inspired to be a better version of myself. The Blues past and present are amazing people and I am glad to spotlight them on this channel. Thanks again for all your support!
You did a great job with this one Ryan. Super access in a 3 day weather hold. That turned out great for the video. Normally they are to busy to spend a lot of time like this. Great edits and music. Your videos continue to improve. They cancelled Seattle already. The state is opening up June 30th. Hoping we can talk them into bringing the show back.
As usual, always appreciate your support and feedback. I was blessed with an incredible opportunity to shadow the team for the entire air show weekend and let me tell you, I left Corpus Christi inspired! They couldn't have put together a better team for the 75th anniversary. Hopefully there will be an opportunity to film more pieces like this one in the future. All the best, Cheers!
OJO. Que Dios los Proteja A TODOS.👍👏✈️
I grew up there in Kingsville Texas. Had family in Corpus Christi 30 minutes away. I watched them fly airshows a NAS Kingsville & Corpus Christi in the F-4 Phantom & A-4 Skyhawk and F-18 Hornet.
Awesome!! Glad you liked it. It was different than my other videos in that I was documenting it all in real time. Challenging but really fun! And the team was amazing to work with.

Amazing Grace for every Officer's that flies the Blue Angel's! Praying for your safety every time you ascend to the great unknown. It broke my heart when the Blue Angel, Jeff Koss. He went to heaven after dieing in the Blue Angel 7. Paul Montoya
Great question, I didn't notice until you pointed it out. I am sure it is made to do that, but am not interested to see other videos of the same maneuver.
These guys just amaze me. The show is insane and absolutely perfect, every time. But, this dude (1:04) says as calm as can be, "we shot a 6 plane delta ILS through the low ceiling"! Now that's just nuts.. Wow
The best of the best!!! The Thunderbirds just don't compare! I never get to see the Angels in person because we have an air force base here so we get the Thunderbirds. :-( My husband was Navy and he used to tease me by telling me he would see them all the time and was friends with some of them. He was soooooooooooo mean!!! lol Keep on keepin' on, fellas!!
Miss the Good days living out the back gate in Pensacola , as NAVY "A" school AM Instructor. the practice days reminded you this why you do your JOB well. Fly over house rattle the dishes, best day ever. woke the kids few times during NAP. but they got used to it. Never should of sold my house... Move back there tomorrow. Professional's as always, Never risk the Show over Safety.
I drove all the way down to Corpus from Killeen that weekend to see the show. The weather canceled the show. Buc Days. No one passed out the information that they would perform later that day. I found out when we were coming back from the beach and saw them flying their show. Was not a happy camper that I missed the show.
Ryan were you able to get the inside scoop on why they are down one pilot flying a five plane formation? They’ve been flown five of the demo at least since sun and fun.

That Sunday show was phenomenal. After all the rainy days prior, it couldn't have been clearer than it was. Powerful stuff. I love the Blue Angels.
