- "The AC30C2 has two channels, but no built-in channel switching. Product specialist Kenny Echizen walks through two ways to get the most out of the AC30's two channels - using an ABY box to switch channels or use both, and jumping channels for unique tones with both channels.

I just got an ABY to channel jump just for fun , and definately the second version of the jump works for , more openness , chime and crunch , almost Marshally
Excellent demo. Please show amp settings next time
Just got mine. Trying this now 😎
Gr8 product support from the best amp name in the business..
It’s surprising Vox didn’t make their AC amps channel switching from factory in this day and age, everyone else has.
Vox AC30s allow two guitarists to use the same amp, which was popular in the past. If they changed to a traditional channel switching amp they would lose that capacity which is part of their identity, unless they opted for a complex and more expensive feature such as a smart switch that will let jack one switch channels unless jack 2 is plugged. This would basically just be a replacement for the existing solution of A/B/Y switches that would cost everybody who bought the amp for the additional internal hardware whether they want that setup or not.
Edit: And let me add, you already *know* if they sold a channel switching amp with a footswitch, they would make you pay for the footswitch separately and that it would cost as much as an A/B/Y, only be Vox branded this time.
@@mikethegreat4296 I never thought that I could plug two guitars at the same time, that's clever
How are you doing that in the normal channel are you using an overdrive pedal or do both channels have a master volume question mark
2:57 = eargasm!!
Yep I prefer that jump setting also. Just tried it on my new purchase (AC30C2X), and it sounds great teamed up with a deluxe reverb 65 reissue.
Nice, just what I was about to explore, so great timing.
Where was the master volume set or was it bypassed?
What is that guitar?
Which channel do people commonly use a treble boost in front of? My guess would be the Normal channel.
So about hearing them both at the same time ... ?
Please reissue the UL series amps from the mid sixties
Isn't there a big volume difference when setting one channel clean and the other dirty?
Yes unfortunately with mine it’s hard to get a really clean sound on one and a saturated tone on the other without a volume difference since they share the same master volume. Using Low input on a the dirtier tone and High input on the cleaner tone gets them closer
I have an ac15 and thought it would explode and go nuclear if I jumped channels. I never did this before. I’m still exploring, but I only have two channels to blend, so. Won’t be too long!
The volumes must be equalized post production.
You balance volume on the amp
Also on the original design the channels are
Out of phase with each other... which means you can play with th E mids by balancing the volumes
I killed my tubes within maybe two weeks because I was channel jumping.
I was always curious what the draw backs were to this. I have no knowledge of the circuitry. Is it 4 different amps? I doubt that. Does jumping cause any impedance changes? Any voltage changes? Does the amp need to be biased how you have it jumped?
Almost noon? Can you still hear? lol
For me too harsh, too britle. Nothing for me.
