Maxing out the poison tree and capstone for infinite poison DOTs and adding in boss damage with some status damage items creates a super build on her. Heavy on ice attack to create as large of initial dots as possible. Tap the bosses once or twice and walk away and they DOT to death. Malady makes mobbing great. Hoarfrost gets things going silly. Frost nova for quality of life. Chain lighting, sickles heavy investment after chilling strike - snakes and lighting bolts for area damage. Very satisfying
That's weird that luck doesn't effect the Talent Tree, but other things like duration and area do effect the Talent Tree. Hmmm. I really want to like nixi, but I agree with you that on Act 2, it's a little rough with her.
They really messed up luck it seems. Its too hard to get on gear relative to other more competitive and better choices. Getting even 100 luck takes too much gear which means you're also reliant on the fates to pump it higher.
The fact that luck doesnt effect talent trees makes it a dead stat.
@@jprec5174 I wouldn't say it's "dead" Still nice to have if you're running a strike build. However Luck is less impactful since the update. I had 200% luck one run and my smite power with a base of 30% chance to proc went to 40%........like what.
i dont really visit the discord, so not sure if more insight into dev reasoning is there. but like, it could be that nixi is undertuned now due to the power of jackrabbit and cool off infinite dash builds in season 1. i feel like kront and even nerris both have stronger dash builds than nixi right now. if nixi's dash build is intended to be used as a power up to attack, it almost seems better to just re-direct all those talent points into attack focused talents, use nixi's attack-focused unique, and attack stat relics which feel a bit easier to get hold of than dash stat relics, for a similarly strong but less frustrating experience.
it crazy how much time you need to get good with this build, waiting on required levels and blessings, when the ranger can just take whistling arrow and be strong from the start
I've only seen it once but there is an item roll that gives you 100% chance to leave a Lightning Orb when you dash. Who knows? Could be a thing for dash builds.
I'd like to see what maxed out Haul would do to this build
This build is a better status build than Mind Reaper, and that kind of makes me sad.
Currently, Shivers extends the duration of Shadowsneak, so Winter is a must. Followed by Serendipity to increase the odds of the refresh, which isn't shown visually but does function as far as I can tell.
Not entirely sure if it's a bug or not, but talents are not currently affected by luck.
Winter is mandatory for most of her builds imo. Hoarfrost is stupid and iirc it stacks with each stack of poison.
So, I don't know if you found it yet, but there's a Unique Epic called "Possibility" and it enables you to just. Have all gods. Makes it hell to get what you WANT, but imagine the thrill.

This is honestly sad to watch compared to the other characters. Its a shame because before the patch I would normally run Nixi stacking luck and just pick the first three gods that popped up and I could roll anything. Now, I struggled to get her 36/36 in act 2 and haven't played with her since.

Maybe it's a bug that Luck doesn't work with the Talent tree? Luck works on offerings, and your gear chance proc. There's no reason it shouldn't work on the Talent tree.
Skadi's talent tree is arguably worse than Nixi's.
Skadi's wolves should be like the dogs in act 2 but reskinned as werewolves
I think the Adept build puts Skadi a bit ahead but I would agree they are both a bit behind the others.
@@gamingwithjeff just played more skadi and she just feels like a better nixi. Her attack-based kit revolves around the meta gods (justice/time) and stacking tons of movement speed (means using gem high to gain free skill levels too), and her status build is good because of those unique gloves that proc a bunch of effects (which are bugged and you can take them off after 1 match and swap to something else and will still proc all the effects).
Nixis problem is crit is too rare and the values too low on gear. Even skadi gets more crit from her tree. This means wasting a jewel slot for the unique that makes the fates show up more. Reset if you dont get a master crit roll in the first few levels. There's really nothing special with her either. She pumps atk damage like avoron but avoron can synergize powers. Nixi only buffs poison darts. Her gimmick with gold could be good if she could drop more gold and more often.

Krom has dash area... May be it works with range of shardes. Other wise I do not understand why rande is so law. Same for Life link. Could test please ?) And also Krom has dash damage
What I quickly googled was that the etymology of Tom foolery came from the nick name ‘thome fole’ a nick name to say someone has little intelligence.
Letting Shadowshift retrigger when you dash through an enemy might be the solution, because the guaranteed crit is the one that you perform, not the automatic shadow attacks.
I don't know, I like the concept of a shadow assassin a lot, like really a lot. But this is underhwelming at the very least. Clearing d30 is not a problem but higher than that? Compared to Kront, for example, it's not even fair.
I'm not asking for such a ridiculous build for Nixi, mind you. I'd just like to see something working a little better than how it is now.
(Also, how sad it is that they completely took away from her any luck? And how sad it is that luck doesn't work with talents?)
I think the biggest problem is dodging enemies at very high darkness levels is almost impossible in melee range.

i use my nixxi with POWER setup, jack rabbit dagger and lightning bolt ... focus movement speed everything else i try to ignore ... so i just try to run around battlefield like insane while spamming a LOT of bolts melting everything
I think you need to click just above darkness 30 to get Max loot offers, at least that"s what the UI leads you to believe??

Have you tried the all poison talent tree build for her?
Yeah, it's viable, I just don't enjoy it very much
Poison is nice and better for high difficulty as you can poison then kite bosses which are much more dangerous than around 30-40.
How does the Shadowdash thing interact with the Ball of Lightning dash? Is it possible to build the infinite Ball of Lightning thing with her and basically alternate the two states?

Nixi is now a trash character. Used to be one of my favorite but not anymore.

I'm sorry, but you're using this build wrong. You don't have the right items and you don't take the skills that are really needed. Therefore, the efficiency drops significantly.
