Switchback was one of my most-need-to-ride coasters since it was announced. Late 2020 was my first time at the park and I really enjoyed Switchback. It was a lot more thrilling than I originally thought it would be.
If only they would build that proposed clone of Switchback at Dorney lol. Sidebar: could you imagine the absurdity if ZDT’s announced they were adding a B&M Hyper to their lineup? As always, great video!
I heard Dorney’s version was supposed to be bigger, and I think one proposal may have even featured an inversion. A ride like that would’ve been perfect for Dorney. Haha, absurd doesn’t even come close to cutting it. Though that would be a pretty fun No Limits contest. Maybe even throw in the lot next door with the water tower for good measure. Thanks a lot! 😀
ZDT's is a cool little park. Switchback is so unique. It ran a bit too rough for my liking on my visit unfortunately, but was still fun. Would have got on another GravityGroup/M&F Leviathan yesterday at Seaworld Gold Coast, but Auckland got flooded so all flights were cancelled. Should happen soon though with rebookings.
It's definitely not the smoothest of wood coasters, but I thought it had a perfectly acceptable level of roughness. Then again, I do prefer a little shake in my wood coasters. Leviathan looks fantastic, and I really hope to reach that part of the globe one day. Can't wait to hear your thoughts after you're able to get your rides on it!

It certainly does pack in a lot of thrills in a small space. Those turns are ridiculously tight, and the pacing going forwards is wild!

Switchback looks so much fun
It really is! Along with the novelty of it, it also has some awesome floater airtime and great pacing.
