  • There seemed to be a strange instance where something kept shorting the circuit a few times before the traffic lights allowed motorists to cross. Another thing to note is that the WCH M bell here is definitely dying out.
This crossing is sandwiched between Hillsborough Street and Beryl Road which does make it a bit more complicated when a train trips the crossing.
The cantilever on the south side is made by Harmon and has a variety of WCH and Safetran lights with Dialight LEDs. The gated mast has another set of Safetran Dialight LEDs, a Safetran gate mech and a NEG E Bell.
The cantilever on the north side is made by Fabricated Metals and has Safetran 12x24 Dialight Ball LED lights. The gated signal there has another pair of Safetran lights with a Safetran gate mech and the dying WCH M Bell.
The other two gated masts have Safetran gates and Safetran lights.
I beat Silver Star 92 from Apex to here thanks to the stop it had to make in Cary. I do have to say that Amtrak P42DC 204 has a great K5LA.
2022 Update: This crossing no longer stands as it will become an overpass. If you ask me, this crossing was due for it 30 years ago. It is a driver's mess.

Nice video! Odd question, but what is the scanner frequency for Norfolk Southern’s Knoxville West End District? All I can find are the dispatcher frequencies not the road frequencies

      Road channel: 160.950
      Dispatch: 160.425

Odd because I have the road channel in my scanner and it only picks up dispatch.

Are the gate lights RECO LED or NEG LED?
