Just watching your fingers on those 32 note phrases is crazy! Well done Ben, and thanks.
Thanks so much for watching!
you are the best jazz guitar player , Ben
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
Such fluid, beautiful ideas. Bravo!
So glad you liked it!
I'm always trying to play better solos! Thanks Ben!
Thank you so much for watching, Andreas!
Hey man,
I'm trying to develop my Jazz and Jazz-Blues Soloing Vocabulary by learning Heads & Solos. I wonder if you could give me some suggestions. If you were my teacher, what would you prescribe me!?
I've learned Parker playing Billie's Bounce, Now's The Time, Au Privave.
I then learned the solos on Chitlins Con Carne - Burrell; Grand Slam - Christian; Cool Blues - Green; Four on Six - Montgomery; Borgia Stick - Benson.
Can you give me any suggestions for next steps please?
Those are all great choices! Some more classics for me are "D Natural Blues" by Wes Montgomery, "The Cooker" by George Benson, also "Bag" and "Travel John" by John Scofield.
@@beneunson Thank you so much! I'll check them out!
Ben, are these intervals based on sequences of these scales that are part of you practice routine? I need more concepts with developing more unpredictable lines. Do your lessons cover this?
I'm so glad you asked! In the Mini-Lesson Bundle, there are 7 mini-lessons which each contain 5 lines you can learn (35 lines in total), and each line covers a different concept (wide intervals, 32nd notes, playing outside, etc). You could also check out "10 Etudes For Guitar Improvisation" which features a wide variety of scales, modes & arpeggios that have been formulated into etudes - and there's a big emphasis on wide intervals throughout a number of the etudes.
If you're interested in either, you can check them out here:

Hope that helps!
@@beneunson Just bought the Etudes. On the second page already it's mind blowing. This is going to give me a bit to practice already.
Thank you so much for checking it out! I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying it! 😀
Which ibanez is that? Great neck pickup tone, I love it
Thanks! It's the AZ2204F
I don’t know what I prefer the lesson or the guitar and I really long the guitar.
Thanks so much for watching!
