Sad part is they wanted the 911 Caller as a witness to place him under reasonable suspicion. But that 1st victim was so traumatized and angry she'd be pretty easy to cast doubt upon with the Jury. All his Lawyer would need is to cross examine her, prove she has a grudge against him, and her credibility crumbles.
This is unofficially the second part of a two part story, and a very strong argument to have no statute of limitations on SA. Tracy Pollan was superb in both, and her desire for justice in no way hindered the investigation. In reality, she set into motion events that were eventually going to happen. The wife was in denial, but eventually she was going to make the same decision.

Spoilers they ended up taking him to court and while the wife was there she remembered some stuff he did and yelled out stuff that couldn't be taken as she was his wife and so that case ended up having to be thrown out however I think at the end of the episode there was a call to 911 from the wife's house and Harper (the girl he raped was there) he had been killed I believe with harpers gun but that was the end of the episode. sorry if some of this ends up being wrong I watched this episode a while ago.
