Is BORACAY worth the hype?

We finally visited the most popular island in the Philippines known for its white sand beaches and crystal clear blue waters! This was our first time visiting Boracay and definitely had high expectations, however, our experience was not entirely how we pictured it to be. For those seeking a relaxing getaway, this could be the place for you if you’re just spending your time at one of the luxury resorts. But for the adventure seekers out there, there’s definitely better islands to explore in our opinion. The beaches were really nice but we found White Beach to be too crowded and the island hopping was not worth it. We also came across a few tourist scams and traps, so be wary! Nonetheless, my mum still enjoyed her time but for us, we’re definitely not rushing on coming back anytime soon.
