I shit you not, my computer crashed to a blue screen when she booped the screen and I thought, "What a cool effect". I wasn't even mad cuz I couldn't believe what I just experienced.
What annoys me about this is; The boop she does in her intro, is not a Sombra signature but a reference to the volskaya director's relationship with her daughter. So a direct threat to her daughter.
*Sigh* Blizzard goes out and finds community videos, and highlights them on their launcher. This is NOT a Blizzard video. Simply a video about a Blizzard IP.
That makeup and hairstyle came out short compared to the hard work gear that ended up super accurate, before this video came out i watched Sombra makeup and hair tutorial by Glam&Gore and she nailed it 100%.
Not to ruin it for you, but from what I've heard this was a sponsored cosplay by Blizz. Of course, I have no way of knowing if this is fact or not as I didn't see a source, so it's kind of still up in the air as far as I'm concerned. EDIT: Never mind, I found a source: cosplay.kotaku.com/blizzard-had-official-sombra-cosplay-made-for-her-revea-1788785249 And really, it only makes sense that it was sponsored, as the cosplay was done at a convention that would also be officially debuting her for the first time as a character. There had only been spoilers of Sombra until that point, and while most people were confident that it was real, it'd be a real gamble to do a Sombra cosplay based on a leaked image that isn't 100% confirmed... and also doesn't reveal her whole body, particularly the legs and back, which have details that were matched to a T, something impossible to pull off without Blizzard's inside info at that point in time.
Raijyn just because something is sponsored it doesn't mean that they didn't put effort in the product. If anything sponsorship makes the end product even better.
bluedragon .blue You're missing the point, I never said the end product wasn't good- in fact, it's fantastic, love it. I'm just saying that since Blizzard payed for and sponsored this particular cosplay, it was inevitable that it would be featured, as opposed to fan works that aren't sponsored, but have been featured in the past. Not trying to undermine their good work, just stating that the feature was going to be there no matter what, since it was payed for by the company.
Raijyn This is the reason we can't have nice things. If anyway we should just enjoy it since this is something that they took time and effort to make just for you to make it look as a problem. If it was payed, it wouldn't change anything about the product. Yes, there's thousand of fan works of overwatch, but it isn't blizzards job to share every single one of them.
The coat and the gun are so good! So much impressive attention to detail. But it's all really brought down by the head piece and the hair, honestly the model in general. Sombra always has a cheeky smile on her face. The model did not smile for any of the photos in the video.
i just thought of the coolest thing while watching this. it would have been magical if they were willing to invest the money to have a hologram version of sombra and the real one at the reveal. they could have done the hack thing for the initial reveal and before the lights came back on they could have had the hologram come out and actually do some of sombras signature sayings and then have her run thru the room toward the stage shooting her gun maybe? lol and then throw her teleporter onto the stage and some how have the real sombra appear on stage and say "BOOP". hands down would be the best reveal ever.
Amazing dude. Congrats for that guys make de clothes and 3d gadgets impression. When someone look Sombra maybe forget people who make that tiny details.
OMG Alphacast was here! (He's a famous Overwatch player in France, just in case you wondered) Amazing work, by the way! This cosplay is hacking new levels of awesomeness!
It's amazing what a dedicated, skilled team can do together. They achieve and create amazing things together, work excellent together like a whole family.
Nice! Very cool, VERY cool! Saw this on the Battle.NET launcher, had to check it out at full screen! Great set-up you guys have. Wish I could to that stuff full-time as a job, must be a BALST! :D
Only thing i missed in this cosplay is the hairstyle... The three large spikes, but hey, can't do everything perfect, right? The rest was absolutely spot on, well done!
This is very cool to watch, but remember when you see other fantastic cosplays out there, that most of them do ALL the work on their stuff. There is a whole team of people that made this costume. It's so crazy what others can do on their own.
No one is ever truly alone in cosplaying- nobody jumps in knowing what to do. Whether you learn techniques from someone else or have them make a portion of the costume for you, nobody ever goes it alone. Sometimes it's necessary for the bigger cosplay stars to have a team behind them because of their tight schedule; others, like these guys I assume, it's less about the individual cosplayer and more about the team.
I shit you not, my computer crashed to a blue screen when she booped the screen and I thought, "What a cool effect".
I wasn't even mad cuz I couldn't believe what I just experienced.
Sombra has that affect on people ;)
WTH IT HAPPENED TO MY PHONE HOW DID THIS HAPPEN I THINK IM BEING HAUNTED BY A GHOST
boop.
What annoys me about this is; The boop she does in her intro, is not a Sombra signature but a reference to the volskaya director's relationship with her daughter. So a direct threat to her daughter.
That just makes it even cooler to be perfectly honest.
I agree that it makes the "Boop" a lot cooler, although people keep doing the boop like it's her normal thing to say :-p
STAP WITH DA BOOP MEMES!!!!
(not really ¬3¬)
You really did an amazing job with her cosplay. So awesome. ❤
'You'? This is just one of Blizz's video's re-uploaded xD
Uhh, no?! THenchmen Props did the costume.
I came from the Battle.net Launcher. So I think, this isn't a reupload.
*Sigh* Blizzard goes out and finds community videos, and highlights them on their launcher. This is NOT a Blizzard video. Simply a video about a Blizzard IP.
GamingMermaid Hi 😊
its amazing how many people worked on it... nice job guys
Thank you! It takes an army ;)
how?
BMiBudz Ah okay. Well, I can't argue with that!
That "sigh" at 0:28 is something every cosplayer has been through.
Keep going and it will come through!
That makeup and hairstyle came out short compared to the hard work gear that ended up super accurate, before this video came out i watched Sombra makeup and hair tutorial by Glam&Gore and she nailed it 100%.
I actually kindof agree.
true. but that’s the opposite of me, hard work hair and makeup but lacking with the gear lmao.
Really fun BTS on making Sombra, Nice work everyone
Thanks guys! Appreciate you taking the time to grab (and share!) the footage of Sombra!
Sneaky Zebra OMG I LOVE U can I get a shout out on ur next video?

Thanks John, we're so happy & thankful for the support Blizzard gives to the community!!

I didn't realize that the head piece was illuminated until this vid. Great Job and Soni looked great!
Thank You! The headpiece was a fun challenge, though we had some ideas to push it further - if only time allowed :P
when i saw sombra's character design, i thought it would be impossible to cosplay as her but i was wrong, here take my like button

Wish I could have this 4 minutes of my life back...
Well done. There is so much that can go wrong in complete outfits like this, and it really came together. Bravo.
ahhhhhhh she looks so cool! I knew those 3D printers would be involved.
Thanks Andy! They printers were definitely a great tool for us on this one!

It's amazing what a dedicated, skilled team can do together. They achieve and create amazing things together, work excellent together like a whole family.

Sometimes I wonder how blizzard puts so much detail into their characters and your costume was perfect it matched it so well :D
AWESOME!!! As always
This is awesome. Was this commissioned by Blizz? I saw her at the Overwatch World Cup and wasn't sure! Great job!

Hey! Great work guys! I was wondering, is there a pattern available for Sombra's jacket ?
Amazing Work❤
great vid. tbh i would tease the cosplay for a bit at the beginning then go to the process of making the cosplay and blizzcon
Nice! Very cool, VERY cool! Saw this on the Battle.NET launcher, had to check it out at full screen! Great set-up you guys have. Wish I could to that stuff full-time as a job, must be a BALST! :D

Fucking awesome, Soni IS Sombra, totally
Thanks Alvion! And she totally is, right!
i wish i had the time, money, and resources to cosplay :,
JUST DO IT
Santa reread my first comment
Start with cardboard, it's pretty easy to find that around - and there are people who do amazing things with it! don't let the material limit you!
Henchmen Props I love the stuff you do! I heard that this cosplay was sponsored by blizzard, is it true. Do Zenyattas Orb next?
excellent work all teams
Do you guys had a pattern for the vest/coat? I'm trying to do it myself but I can't manage to get it right
amazing efforts!
Is there anyway to buy/make the pink/purple material on her arms and legs?
Great Costume, Sombra rules!!!
What kind of cloth was used for the pants? I can't find any with those colours?
nice!
Thanks William!
hi , can i know how big is the sombra mines is ? actual size width and height ? i want to try make my self with eva foam
Que buen laburo e interpretación!
Only thing i missed in this cosplay is the hairstyle... The three large spikes, but hey, can't do everything perfect, right? The rest was absolutely spot on, well done!

do you guys have the patterns for this or is there anyway to get them from you guys? LOVE how it came out and everything about it
Congrats you made it to the battle net start screen
I am curious, did you make the fabric for the arms yourselves, or did you find a place that sold purple fabric with a triangular design?
We designed it ourselves!
It makes a lot more sense to me now, thank you!
Correct me if I'm wrong but 00:45 dat Tali jacket tho
I need that purple and blue fabric!! where did they get it?! I have a feeling they had it printed out Dx
My reaction is: 😱😱❤️❤️
Amazing!
who paid them to do this?
It came out amazing!
Skyler Allenson lol I get it 😂
You're grounded! D:
awesome job
I love overwatch my favorite is tracer and sombra😎👍✌💖💗💜
Nice work I wish I did that I can imagine how hard that job is😄
where do you buy the fabric from to make the cosplay?
3:20 is the best part. Deckard Cain!
Wha- where do you get the glowing headpiece
The widowmaker at 3:31 O_o
Cleavage of legends. Wish I knew who the cosplayer was. : D
when you cosplay widow, you do need to look like a pornstar to do it
If someone would look like widow she probably would die on an instant due broken backbone
Jannet venogredova (prob spelled that wrong but close enough) has the best cosplay of widow
where did you found these detailed Sombra pictures?
FoxyLollyy Blizzard provided us with the references we needed!
Henchmen Props so is there a link where I can find these pictures?
3:32 Widow want a selfie too 😂😂😂
OMG! Doy you sell it?
*you hear a faint SLAAAAAY in the distance.
*Kat saw this video.
Wow that is amazing o:
How did u get the design of Sombra before she was released, the leaks only showed part of her front
Pls tell us more about how you made thar amazing overwatch sombra cosplay
You're using Cura for the prints, but what did you design them in? Autodesk Fusion 360?
she did nothing, all her team did the job, she just paid them.
Si im guessing ultimaker is the machine that gave you guys the idea of her ultimate?
I hope they have a blizzcon in Canada one day!!!
The teaser for this on the launcher legitimately looked like a Phub spoof lol
Nice work! Think you got the closest to me as possible! Try making the gun metal next time.
you got featured on battle.net! nice! :D
uh yes of course
