@Tounushi In what way? I disacree with you. I am a Finn, and I can read Dutch, but the spoken language is more difficult to understand. The same goes for Danish. And there is the Platt that is spoken along the North Sea coast and on the Baltic coast in Germany. If I am not mistaken, they are all based on old Germanic.

It's the language's closeness to german that makes it so funny when spoken. Sounds like a german who's spent one night too many in amsterdam, if you know what I mean.
