sorry for a dumb question since I am totally new to this - it seems to me that if you want to use this for navigation, do you need your phone to be running the entire time and the google maps is running on your phone as well, or you can just provide wifi to this from your phone and maps runs natively on this device?Thanks v much for your excellent and detailed video
IF you want to use your phone and use carplay or android auto -- it serves as a display for those "platform" -- if you wanted to use REAL android and google map or any GPS/navigation app on android -- it can also do that.. however you def needs data meaning also to hotpot from your phone.. You can also load offline map of course. It comes with it's own GPS antena
I didn't experience much of a problem during long run time with just using apple car play.. But as I'm trying to open real android app on it and run app side by side - there's def lags!
