buzz littig I’d assume that, sometime while Thomas was developing his Moral Compass, he decided that “Lies are Bad”, separating Janus from Patton... And if it wasn’t lies, Thomas was conditioned to believe that Self care = Selfish, and it pushed his self-preservation away from his morality spectrum...
buzz littig in the Trolly scene in Selfish Vs Selflessness, there’s all the sides on the top of the screen (minus Remus) However Deceit was labeled “Denial” (which is lying to oneself)... which is really what Deceit has doing this whole time.... He was the reason Thomas didn’t know about he, Remus, and Whoever Orange is... And, one of the reasons we lie to ourselves is to protect ourselves... which would explain why Janus is all about Self Care...

Just like virgils quote; “I’m not a bad guy all the time..” Remus just wanted to be the creative side probably so he try’s to think of the weirdest things to get noticed, deceit tries to be like the others to teach Thomas, but he has only learnt how to talk in lies. This really shows that. :> I believe somebody made a comment exactly like this on a different video, but I just had to say it! Xx

OMG THIS IS SO GOOD all of the lyrics match up so perfectly, it's obvious that you spent a long time on this and it is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. (the flashback part with King Creativity and the split completely took my breath away.) 100/10. Adding to my playlist immediately.
Ok, this was just too cool! I adore which characters you chose for the different lines of the songs, and the jump between silhouettes and characters was really neat. I also quite like Virgil as a spider. Very clever. I hadn't seen that before, even in the fanart I've viewed, but it makes a lot of sense. Edit - I rewatched and there was more I wanted to effuse about: -Virgil's shift from his old outfit to new, and he's smiling in the new outfit! -Janus as Patton, in that pose from Can Lying Be Good, that was just so Not!Patton. With arms! -The scene of them before, before Creativity switched. -The scene from Redux, with the frog, so good. So many little details, I love it!
Virgil does hiss like tarantulas and he loves spiders, so it makes that like Janus being a snake and Remus being a rat he’s a spider. Edit: Most Spiders are extremely vigilant and keep a close eye on everything around them.

Okay! I just have to rant about how amazing this is real quick excuse me. SO! I lived the way you thought about as a child the biggest part of lots of children is creativity. You also thought about how they may have been one and the same when Thomas didn’t know one was “bad” or “good” and had them as one. I love the concept of the creativity feeding the others stories and such as it’s representative that it’s an adult, again being the most developed as a child. Then we have Janus whom seems to be more or less 12-13 because children still have a concept of both lying and protecting themselves witch is what Janus seen to be incompassing. Now you shouldn’t even get me started on the artwork! It’s so beautiful and well-done! The expressions shown were so perfectly made and drawn and the lyrics matched perfectly for each character and drawing you might have been showing at that time! It’s just done so well. Overall this is such a cool and beautiful animatic that should be given lots of love. This is very true especially in the sense of the spitting that I adore to bits! Thank you for making this wonder piece of artwork! It’s really made me consider things about Remus + Roman that I didn’t before!
