When I saw "all the sugar" I thought of Jolt.
This soda got me through high school. When my pancreas self-yeeted, this soda allowed me to skip pretty much my whole junior year. Thank you, Big Red!

I buy a case online for my sister's birthday every year. It's her favorite soda but it's not available in the north. No one needed to know that. But I thought I'd share.

I've seen Big Red in states outside of Texas, but it's not predominant. Order it in glass bottles if you aren't already. It tastes so much better in glass, like most things do.

I grew up in Texas and we drank Big Red at all times. It tastes like cream soda, it's extremely sweet, it does have caffeine, and no one thinks twice about giving it to kids.
PS- Prescott, if your urine is tinted red for a while, don't worry, that's 'normal' and it will go away, if you quit drinking Big Red.

I don't think it tastes like cream soda at all. Tastes exactly like bubble gum to me. Horrifyingly delicious either way.
@@madskrillz2 While not stated in the marketing, Big Red is meant to taste specifically like Strawberry Cream Soda. Many people pick up the Cream Soda, but cant place the other flavor, which would be the strawberry.

I tried to explain Big Red to my 8yo as we started this video with “it’s a cream soda that cuts the richness of brisket and that’s the only time you drink it, either this or a Welch’s grape. He’s now more enthusiastic about a planned visit back to Houston next year.

That might be a little bit "off-brand". When we think of Prescott Arizona Van Myers. we think of ska trombonist turned sommelier ruthlessly roasting flavors that can be affectionately described as "apocalyptic", "anhedonic", and "gizzard-y". That formula breaks down if he has to say "an oaky nosy", "or an impudent finish".
You could make a parody of this to do that. A parody of a parody. Like Colbert is a parody of a parody.

If you watch carefully he didn't drink a drop, initial few sips were him just acting as the drink level in the bottle didn't drop, while the last few gulps were cleverly edited to make it look like he chugged it down.

We drank this stuff in high school. It was so cheap that a two liter bottle cost 75¢ at the dollar store. When we drank it our reaction was always, "Ugh, that's terrible. Give me another sip."

Makes good carp and catfish doughball bait: Mix crushed cornflakes, big red soda, 1 egg, and ground oatmeal in a big bowl until you make mush. Then start adding flour and water until it turns into a big dough ball. Works great for carp, channel cat and small blues!!!
My mom used to sit on the couch in our living Room smoking heard Dorall cigarets, Drinking bottle after bottle of big red and alternating between that and cups of coffee all day everyday while watching The Weather Channel. She did this literally until the week before she died.

In Germany there is a chewing gum called "Big Red" and it just tastes like Fireball.. I love it!

Mix some Big Red with some Blue Bell vanilla ice cream and makes a great milkshake. A treat my grandma (who died with diabetes) use to give us.

You should try Buffalo Trace White Dog Rye Mash, my friend bought some for me and I'm a vodka guy but it seriously surprised me! Definitely worth a try, and would make a great video.
I remember drinking this in high school. If I recall, it pairs quite well with Funyuns. Taste test at your own risk..... Lol.

Siesta Key Rum.
No other rum comes remotely close in my book and I've tried about all at my liqueur stores and local bars here in Virginia. You'll have to order this Rum from Florida. I also recommend the Coconut it's not sweet or artificial tasting like Malibu. They definitely use a high grade of molasses (not a black strap) when they make their rums. And it's fairly priced like Sailor Jerry.

I'm totally serious about this: Big Red goes great with Malort. Big Red is super sweet with a simple flavor, and Malort is super bitter with a complex flavor so they balance out. It tastes like Campari in a way. Great mixer. I call it Big 'Lort

Review Monaco caned cocktails CITRUS RUSH is my favorite flavor, best enjoyed driving home from work. it taste like a red bull vodka but caffeine free. (fourloco had to ruin all the fun)
So, I have never actually tried a big red. I also don't recall seeing it in any store, but maybe because I wasn't looking for it. However, I have had the pleasure of this soda in some barbeque sauce.

I think giving sodas the full rinse-and-spit treatment might be an exciting new avenue to let people watch you suffer. Baja Blast, Moxie, Faygo in your choice of flavor/color; lots of room to explore. Delicious, tooth-destroying space.
