The energy back and forth between Home Free and the audience when they perform live is visceral. You can feel how much they love performing for their fans and the fans' love and energy comes right back to them. What Adam was using is a loop station. He records his vocal percussion live then loops it so he can layer other sounds on top of it. He is a world class, insanely talented beat boxer/vocal percussionist. Home Free, as far as I'm concerned are the G.O.A.T. Their sound is uniquely theirs and their talent is boundless. Best of all, they are just plain nice guys who haven't succumbed to the arrogance of celebrity. Another reason, aside from their talent, that the Home Fries are so fiercely loyal to them. Cruise is another high energy fun one and after that Stand By Me is an example of the gorgeous harmonies they are famous for. It gives me shivers when I listen to it. Great reaction!!
Ubisoft heard their Sea Shanty Melody and loved it and approached them with an an amazing opportunity to write a shanty for Skull And Bones video game they are releasing.Chance ( first singer )loves sea shanties and everything to do with the sea and loves gaming he jumped at this amazing opportunity.They did a Lyric video and sang a shorter version live at Ubisoft Live Premiere.A lot of reactors do both the lyric and live in the same reaction because the live is much shorter and you get to see who is doing what. They originally did this during Covid and filmed themselves at home and then sent the songs to their producer who put it together. They put out a lot of content then and that’s when I discovered them. This medley went viral during the pandemic and it led Ubisoft, the game maker, to them. They asked Chance (red knit hat) to write a shanty for their new pirate game Skull and Bones and he wrote a banger. There’s a short live version they did for the Ubisoft crowd. Tim (bass) goes insanely low and they have a lyric video for it that’s great. So much fun!!! Tim helped Geoff of Voiceplay and Avi of Pentatonix to sing lower. Tim has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low but also sing high.🥰😍
No the kick drum sound is not coming from his fists. He uses arm movements to articulate what sound he's making. You usually see him playing air drums to the drum sounds he's making. So people can understand what drum parts he's mimicking. But he's making all those sounds at the same time. That's how good he is. Thanks for reacting to Home Free.

Lol He records the sounds live, then uses the looper to play back certain beats/sounds while he's making others real-time. I know it *looks* like he's banging on something with his fists at the beginning, but he's just "air drumming" like he always does. Watch his mouth when the focus in him. 😉👍😳🤯

Wasn't that great! Finally a professional live recording! This is one of my favorite medleys. Fan recordings on their phones can never clearly capture the true sound. So glad Home Free did this.

I was there that night. The whole concert was fabulous. And we got to see them do this twice so they could ensure they had enough good camera footage. That venue holds about 8400 and I didn't see many empty seats.

This live video was filmed professionally but I love all their live videos. Regardless of any audio/video deficiencies of the device an audience member may have used, the energy of their performance and the enthusiasm of the audience beat out the studio video. Other great live videos are "9-5 beatboxing breakdown", a rather obscure older one "Joy to the World Hosannah" and "Tim Foust's Vibration".
