3:16 terry is a beast. he IS the music. comes back into the dance on2 for musicality, immediately recognizes it, does an extra third spin to come back to on1. sooo much skilll i cried myself to sleep. also, kudos to cecile for immediately recognizing it and adjusting according. top notch follow.
thankyou for this comment. I couldn't figure out what timing they were on and why it seemed like it changed mid song a couple times. It was messing with me.

yes, usually the on1 ( LA style) its more commonly taught, since on2 ( new york style )needs a student that understands better the timing and the "clave "of the music, and yes as the time passes the on2 make more sense or feels more natural

If you really get into the song, and you go back into it after some kind of a break, the direct compress/prep on 1 / release on 2 of a cross body lead just feels so much better (in my subjective opinion) than the whole stiff blah blah do 3 steps, pause, and at last lead on 5, etc...
