The only way to get any foundation to work was to use green base (expensive & very hard to get) below porcelain foundation. It looked good but was so thick you could carve into it. That was the sole option at the time (20yrs ago) - Clinique Redness Corrector covered with Leichner Camera Clear in Porcelain. Thankfully drag being more valuable, thanks to shows like RPDR, has resulted in far better makeup variety.
