    Very nice again. The final finish ended up just the right kind of weathered look for an old bird like that. I have been waiting a long time for a P40N kit to come out in 1/48. Because my uncle flew on in the islands, but everyone seems to miss it in that scale.

    • @InternationalBritishModeler

      Thanks Greg, much appreciated. You can still find the AMT/ERTL 1/48 P-40N kit out there....here's a link to one on ebay: www.ebay.com/i/323209776521?chn=ps
      It's a great kit, I have one ready to be made in my stash.
      Cheers : )

    Nice job! I am currently building this particular kit. I have read (and noticed), the rudder is a over-sized and could use just a bit of sanding stick to make it a touch smaller. Speaking of over-sized, the throttle quadrant is as well! But overall, the cockpit is nicely furnished. 👍

      Thanks, and yes, I don't mind building old kits, some present the impetus to try out scratch-building parts to add to them to help enhance them.
      Enjoy building your Airfix version!

    Looks great Martin! Rescribing those panel lines has to be a pain in the rear!

    • @InternationalBritishModeler
      @InternationalBritishModeler  6 лет назад

      Thanks Drew, much appreciated mate. The rescribing took about an hour, not long...it's easy when using the raised lines to guide the blade. Cheers : )

    • @Drewsmodels
      @Drewsmodels 6 лет назад +1

      International British Modeler so you just scribe along the side of the panel line and then sand away the raised lines? Doesn’t sound too bad then.

    • @InternationalBritishModeler
      @InternationalBritishModeler  6 лет назад +1

      Exactly...eezie peezie...I've only re-scribed two models after this one. I always thought it was going to be a nightmare, and so was never motivated or in a hurry to give it a try, then after doing the first one, I thought..."What was all the fuss about?!" You have to have a steady hand and "feel" the direction of the blade...you can easily go off course, and if you do, you have to remove the error by sanding. Cheers : )

    Looks nice! I built this with my dad a few years ago when I was 13. Yours came out a good bit nicer :D I kind of want to try again now that I've seen this, and I can do a better job.

      @InternationalBritishModeler  6 лет назад

      Hey Lyndon, thanks for watching and commenting, much appreciated. It's great to hear that you build kits with your dad and I hope you stick with it...there's not a lot of the younger generation find it interesting, sadly...so, it's always refreshing when you come across those that are. If you build another one, make sure you do a quick show and tell video for us all to see. Have fun! Cheers : )

      Dad unwittingly created a modelling monster in me :D Haha We built a model every now & then as a father-son project, but now I'd say I build models for him : ) I never plan on giving up the hobby, and I don't think I could if I tried. If I build another P-40 I'll share it. Thanks for your inspiration, you're a great modeler.

      Ha ha, dad feels that he did his job well teaching you, so now, he can put his feet up and watch the fruits of his work.
      Glad to hear you won't be giving the hobby up and I look forward to seeing your P-40 when you next build one!Have a great weekend! Cheers : )

      Oh my, trial medications makes me think I'm being used as a Guinea Pig...did they make you sign a waiver form to confirm you will not hold them accountable for any adverse effect it has on you, or take any legal actions against them? What is the medication meant to be treating? Take care mate, hope all works out well for you. Cheers : )

      Hi mart , sorry I'm 3 or 4 days behind on RUclips again ! They are cheamo tablets I take one and give it an hour and I can't move I feel like death warmed up. I am slowly getting used to them but it's time as with everything !!

    • @InternationalBritishModeler
      @InternationalBritishModeler  6 лет назад

      Oh jeez, sorry to hear that mate...but that said, I was watching a program just last night about medicinal cannabis and lots of people that were having Chemotherapy, who originally were violently ill immediately after and for a few days....were describing how taking it stopped them feeling sick, being sick and made them feel hungry and more normal. So, instead of losing weight because of going days without eating, due to the effects of chemo, they didn't feel sick, had a healthy appetite and were much happier. Ask your doctor if he can prescribe you some to take before you have your chemo and the following days.
      Hope it doesn't knock you back too much mate and best wishes and positive energy going your way for a speedy recovery. Cheers : )

      Hi Martin it’s so good to hear from you buddy. I haven’t held from you quite a while. How are you been so far. Me I’m not too bad thank you. I got back to modelling again now because I need a break you know time off if you know what I mean mate. To be honest with you Martin I haven’t been to Air Museums or War Museum because I keep on going to train museums and Steam Railways. Don’t give me wrong but I love tanks and planes still. It doesn’t matter what people who are into things what is really interesting things you know. I don’t know why I keep on deleting my old channel and people keep asking why have you deleted this video or channel and how come you got a new channel. Sometimes I can’t reply to them it’s really frustrating and it’s worries me and stresses me out. I’m sorry Martin I’m not been nasty or rude but they are nice people but I get scared of trolls you know people are bullying me and I don’t want that. I do remember our friend Stuart from Stuart’s scale models says if you got any trolls, just block them and they are not interested of hobby’s and they are not modellers. He’s a nice person is Stuart you know. So is Ian from UKscalemodeller and some others too including Gary from makingmodelsagain the Scottish person you know. I love been a nice boy and I love this hobby too. Unfortunately I only got 40 Subscribes but it will take time and be patience as well. I’m almost finished my Airfix Spitfire and tomahawk Fighter Aircraft model kit use by British RAF during the Second World War. So yeah there you go mate. I hope you well Martin and take care of yourself and have a good day. Cheers Ta .... Josh

    Stellar work, Martin. Top notch build and painting. I like the inclusion of the 2 figures. It really adds interest to the display. One question. Why is there no red dot on the wing roundels? Happy modeling. Bill

    • @InternationalBritishModeler
      @InternationalBritishModeler  6 лет назад

      Thanks Bill, much appreciated. No red dot because they are markings of the RAAF- Royal Australian Air Force.

    • @haydentarran3658
      @haydentarran3658 6 лет назад

      Only thing annoying me about this is the red dot on the side and under carriage
      The RAAF removed the red dot because some American planes shot up a few australian planes mistaking them for Japanese planes

    Wow, nice job!! Question? So I’ve built a few older P-40 Monogram kits. This looks nothing like the original. Is this another manufacturer’s kit and re boxed, for the Pro Modeler series? Very nice job anyway,
