For 360 video there’s just no question in what to go with right now imo. Thanks for the compliments and comment! Check the link in the description and pinned comment
👍😎🤿🇵🇭! Really beautiful video footage Thomas! Maybe in the future as terrible as I am with a camera I might try out the 360! But for now if I get a little better with my Go Pro I may invest in a 360👍!
Yes I have the X4, and I just started my channel, where I am sharing these amazing videos, well probably don't look that great, I am still learning on the best config. but Once I was actually looking at a nudibranch, the dive master and I were looking so focused at it on the reef, later when I was editing my video, I realized a huge ray passed above us, and we never saw it haha.
Great video! We're going to Curacao for the first time, and I'm finally ready to carry my own camera too. I'm also trying to choose dive sites, would that be the shipwreck point area, near the aquarium that you guys went? Just beautiful.
@@CircleHScuba i film for my memories, don't publish yet, thus don't do much editing, need more skill in scubadiving, only have 97 dives in 5 years of diving :| basically the only editing i do is cut the videos toghther and put some ambient music over it and share with my dive team mates...
@@CircleHScuba can you try it next time ? i probably will have the next opportunity to go diving somewhere next summer. (live in the middle of the continent.) It seems to me, your much more frequent diver ;)
I tried my friend’s X3 and while it was really cool, there was a lot of post production if you really want to get the (360) shots/sequences you want, the way you /exactly/ want it I’ll stick with the ace pro which I eventually got a few months ago and like your reviews said, it’s an absolute beast! The X4 is a bit of a bonus/stretch camera for me. Unless you or anyone here has any way to reduce and streamline post production? (congrats on the engagement btw woohoo! 🎉)
It comes with practice for sure. There’s a lot to edit sometimes but it’s fun and worth it after it all! I also love my Ace Pro though! Thanks for the congrats!
The X4 actually had a pretty big leap of improvement over the X3, but I need more playing with the settings and such. It takes some getting used to for sure
HI there :) Quick question regarding temperature. I had the experience with my Hero11 in warm water (around 29°C / 84°F) that it shut off very quickly. It was my first try with the Hero11 under water, so thought I just start it and let it running. But because of the case the heat protection kicked in after a few minutes running. Any experience on that with the Insta360 X4? Thanks in advance. Have a nice day :)
I haven’t had that happen with my X4 or Ace Pro personally, but I also usually shoot for maybe 5 minutes at the very most, stop recording (but leave it turned on), then get my next shots. I don’t like to just record 60+ minutes and have to edit it all later 😅 So for me, no problems, and I don’t think I’ve seen other videos mentioning it as a problem yet!
10:21 it looks like their software still needs some work removing the line where back & front camera views meet. how good is it at colour correction? i tried gopro - it takes some work to do in editing, while dji action 4 footage looks great directly from the camera.
The only correction is their AI “aquavision” on these clips. Yeah there was a glare on the seam of the case in a couple spots where the sun hit it right. Part of the stuff I mention near the end on really needing to learn to shoot with it a bit in terms of proper positioning and such. It’s very cool for creative shots though that you couldn’t capture otherwise

It's so nice to see an American RUclipsr with natural hair and teeth.
What do they usually do now?! 😂
Love the AcePro and X4
Me too!
Awesome review! This camera definitely allows for some creative shots - great work on recording these memories
Thanks so much!
Think I'm going to have to ditch my gopro for this! Beautiful content!!

@@nonzerospy Go for it! I ditched my hero 9 for the X4 and had no regrets.

Thank you Joseph! They take some getting used to but they really are great!
X4 is best 👌 also I use
I’m glad you love it!

Nice remember me circle H scuba?
Definitely have seen your name!
@@CircleHScuba I remember u too!
Thanks, this looks great. Now I need to save $600
Look for sales too!
When did you guys go? My wife and I went just about 2 months ago. Such a great place and the diving was amazing!
I’ve been 3 times, it’s one of my fav places so far haha.

The tug boat, director’s bay, double reef, all fantastic dive sites!
Thanks!@@CircleHScuba
Can this camera record underwater for 60 minutes straight without overheating ?
I haven’t tried and would never have that use case. Sorry I can’t answer specifically. Personally that’s an editing nightmare 😅

@kjdtm that’s totally fair. I personally have never done that kind of filming so I don’t have the experience with testing that. Sorry!

I love the diving, but the video quality looks quite mushy to me. I don't think I would be happy with that. Let's hope they keep improving.
