Good talk guys, 1st time hearing. Probably the algorithm took me here because Sara Alonso also talked about the disparities of UTMB Index in one of her latest videos. As you pointed out, they absolutely suck at calibrating the base points in 2 instances: -Races in their 1st year -Races with low attendance or mostly run of the mill runners but having one high-ranked athelete running The Kodiak 50k 2023 vs 2024 discrepancies are baffling. I'd like to think that it is because incompetence and not malice(Attracting elite runners the following years). They should definitely re-score many races retroactively but it wont probably happen.
