1- 0:40 Kabuki - Quantum Fighter ... " It is a must have but not Contra must have, a good game."
2- 4:35 Karate Champ ... "If you learn the moves it becomes a polished turd. Terrible, terrible. "
- The Karate Kid is skipped without a giving any reason.
3- 11:35 Karnov ... " Odd weapon system / selection, b*tth*le flavor chips, it is really f*kin' bizzare. "
4- 19:05 Kickmaster ... "Beaten on stream before ? Like the pixel art, nice looking. (he says he beat the game , but plays the first mission like a scrublord, neither can he use the items)
5- 25:15 Kickle Cubicle ... " I never beat it on stream " Mike Matei 2020. "It is fkin' fun "
More to come...
Mikes the man. Il follow this guy to where ever he goes. One day people will talk about this guy.
This is so cool, I always discover good games when watching Mike's playthroughs/reviews :)
Yeah he has good Taste when it comes to Nes games
It's always funny to see how Mike starts videos so happy, but ends up super pissed off acting by the end.
These are fun to watch. To see mike go through nes catalog is awesome.
2:20:41
What are you going to do?
**turns game off**
XD
53:27 "Oh, my dear Mike, your suffering is legendary."" -Pinhead lol
Legacy of the Wizard has been my #1 request for you to dive into. very nostalgic for me. thank you for giving it a shot!
I actually searched a bit ago if Mike had already played this
Mike I'm digging these nes reviews. Any chance in you going back to some of the games you didn't completely hate?
I have done a little of that already on stream
@@mikematei Hey Mike, I noticed you mentioned the "Bull Fight" in Karate Champ. Well, it didn't make it on the NES version, but in the Arcade version it was there, and boy was it a pain in the behind to do. In short, between a certain number of matches, you'd have these little tests of skill, one of them was your guy squaring off against a charging bull and you had to punch the bull at the right time to knock him out, else your guy got steamrolled by the bull, which was rather comedic to watch happen actually. XD =^.^=
@@mikematei yeah these short reviews are a good idea, you could get entire game libraries covered pretty quick, keep it up, thanks always
Would love to see you do this with a complete famicom romset!
3:19:55 You really need to give Low G Man a proper go, its a brilliant game with powerups, vehicles and awesome bosses. Your gun only freezes enemies temporarily, to kill them you must stab them with your spear using up/down + B. Also stabbing them when unfrozen gets you more powerups. Please try it again!!!
DEFFENETLY!! Low G Man is a pretty dope game
2:04:00
mike, this game is awesome, you should play more of this one.
I haven't finished it yet, but it's an excellent dungeon game.
maybe one of the most hidden gems nobody plays yet on NES.
42:22 The pause music really adds to the Franklin experience.
4:07:29 I was really shocked to see Game Freak (The people behind the majority of the Pokemon Games) actually produce NES games, and seeing Mendel Palace be the first game the company had developed was really cool to see!
I really wanna see Mike do Legacy of the Wizard. It's very doable if you have some base guidance on what to do and where to go. I think he would like that one
Founds lots of hidden gems thanks to these videos, thank you Mike!
2:27:46 - The excellent Lethal Weapon stage 1 music by Neil Baldwin sounds eerily similar to Jeroen Tel's excellent Robocop 3 soundtrack. Both games were released by Ocean in 1992. Coincedence?
Just commenting on The Last Ninja game at the 1:46:50. The Last Ninja series was a popular trilogy of games on the Commodore 64. This game is actually The Last Ninja 2. Out of the three Last Ninja games, they only released The Last Ninja 2 on the NES. Which is just called "The Last Ninja"
I also want to emphasize that the soundtracks for Last Ninja 1 and 2 on the C64 are awesome. The version of "Central Park" on C64 is great. The version of "Central Park" (the level you were playing) on the NES sounds not terrible but kinda meh. In my subjective opinion.
Letter K Games (0:00)
Letter L Games (1:38:37)
Letter M Games (3:23:40)
@1:27:35 hell yeah, for the GWAR reference!
Not sure why but mike getting insanely pissed off always make my day 😂
always cool to see new content of mike jamming some old school games
These "reviews" should be broken up into 30 sec YT vids, just to piss off that guy even more 1:43:45.
I'm actually glad Mike is reviewing them longer than 30 seconds. Honestly that would have been boring. lol Anyway it makes it more interesting.
All dressed Ruffles 🔥🔥🔥
Playing Karate Champ is like playing Morrowind w/o the fun.
I could see you and james doing a skit of Karate champ using the horrible pixel art where your standing normally then in an instant doing the kicking sprite lol.
I'm laughing rn just thinking about it.
Currently playing/discovering games on the nes. I'm using your videos to know what to avoid and what to look into. Thanks for taking the bullet for everyone😉
Thank you for the entertainment Mike. I have the big C and you have given me some great times. Keep up the great work and tell James I said hi.
You still here?
I have kid icarus for my Nintendo had it since I was a kid and just recently played it, it’s a hard game for sure but I like it
Try the Game Boy sequel. It fixed all the bigger flaws of the NES game.
Dude the Krusty voice had me rolling
Makes sense why i was like 5 years ago and amazing at Little Mermaid, the other kids would call me in and be amazed at how far i could get in that game.
After 5 hours 36 minutes and 28 seconds I could still not find Fat Bobby, but the search continues, stay vigilant!
Mike, you completely skipped over Laser Invasion (it was above Last Action Hero on the list). It's the game from the NES Accessories video where The Nerd is screaming "FIRE!" at the TV with the Konami LaserScope.
The gameplay is mostly what you see in the AVGN video, but it also has several genre changes in it like The Lone Ranger does (not surprisingly both are Konami games), such as landing your helicopter on a landing pad while the wind blows you around, auto-scrolling first person shooting, and navigating maze like military bases in first person while also shooting enemies that pop up (Lone Ranger style). And no, you're not forced to use the LaserScope.
Mission: Impossible gets a bad rap. It is a really good game once you figure out what you're doing and how each of the 3 characters play. Could have been a classic if not for the insane difficulty starting right out of the gate. And yeah - there's a ton of material in this one for a great Nerd episode.
You know what great game gets a bad rap? Mappy-Land. That's a really great game with really fun gameplay, great controls, and high replayability, yet Mike here for some reason does not like Mappy despite he he gushes about other Namco IPs like Pacman.
Was so excited to see Mike play Magic of Scheherazade... :( Not his type of game unfortunately probably even in a normal format review. Anyway, pretty cool action/turn based RPG hybrid.
Yeah I was excited too…then he just abruptly ended it. Hopefully he gives it another go.
In Low G Man, after you freeze an enemy with your gun, you need to hit up or down and B to hit them with your harpoon. It makes the game feel a little different than your average action platformer.
I'm watching gameplay from "The Legend of Kage", laughing my ass off and thinking to myself: "how the hell did I beat it as a kid?" :D
I can’t believe no one in the chat told him how to kill enemies in “Load Runner” 😁. I actually learnt how to kill ‘em watching a Cinemassacre video 😄
You oughta give the magic of scheherazade another try. It’s an underrated gem, Mike.
Cheddar and Sour Cream is the chip to rule them all
Kabuki: Look up Jimmy Fallon and Bruce Springsteen "Whip your hair." Lmao
Edit: It's too bad you don't have Uncle Ray's chips, it's a Detroit thing.
You can find uncle rays in the dollar section in grocery stores.
Love these short playthroughs, you should do this for Snes as well
title shoud be 30 minutes chip reviews
Excellent stream Mike. Tons of options for October content, Monster Party would be perfect for a Halloween stream.
0:51 LOL. What's up with the assembly code showing in the game??
Thanks Mike. Loving this new format. Eagerly waiting for the letter "P" I had Platoon as a young kid, it sucks ass. Can't wait. 👍
Seriously Mike? You consider Mappy-Land a bad game? Really? That's a great classic made by TOSE and Namco. And here I thought you like classic Arcade style games which makes your dislike of Mappy-Land even more confusing. To me, I always find Mappy-Land really fun. It has great and addicting gameplay, tight controls, great level design, great music, and high replayability. I seriously like to debate you with the quality of Mappy-Land, because I seriously don't see what's bad about this game. It would insane if you put this game on the same league as actual shitty games like Dr. Jekl and Mr. Hyde, Silver Surfer, Little Red Hood, and numerous LJN games. I honestly don't see how you can find enjoyment of Pacman, but find none in Mappy-Land. Mappy-Land has much more fun to offer than Pacman if you ask me. What's next? You'll also say the original Mappy by Namco is bad too? Pfft, the original Mappy is way better, much more fun and addicting than Sky Kid, Pacman and Dig Dug put together. Original Mappy is an amazing game and it deserves more love, extremely underrated. Best game Namco has ever created in my opinion. It would be extremely unfair if you call the original Mappy a bad game too.
Miss Vickies chips are among the best. Try the limited lime and black pepper ones if they’re in your region. Another good one was Doritos Texas Tang. Sadly, it was only released for a short while when I was quite young.
I really want to see you beat The Last Ninja lol, it's a shame that you didn't get to see the Killer Jugling Clown.
When I was a kid I owned Kiwi Kraze. Got it from a dollar store for $3. I bet if I still had it in box it'd be like $150 on Ebay. FML
Magmax is actually kind of a cool game. you need to play it longer... it gets better. You have to piece together a mechwarrior.
Hey Mike, I've been trying to find an NES game I rented once as a kid, and only remember two things about it, can you help me figure out what the game is? What I remember is being a soldier or something and you start in a building and when you get out you have to go through a minefield and disarm the mines.. that's as far as I made when I rented it and would love to find it again and play it.
I almost died during Lethal Weapon .. hilariously bad.
Sun chips beat Ruffles Cheddar & Sour Cream?!?!?!? Y'all are fucking high
Best potato chips are plain Utz rippled chips. They have the perfect amount of oil and salt.
That Kabuki game also looks kinda like Blaster Master. At least some of the enemy sprites.
4:26:00 caught me off guard so fucking hard I swear
love it! keep it up man! also id love to see your little nemo!
I could go for some Cape Cod Salt and Vinegar chips...🤠
There was a convenience store by my junior high that had a Kid Nicki machine..me and my friend played the hell out of that game.
Now I want to know: Does the washabi flavored chip also exists or favored in the US or in may countries?
Yo Mike. Are you doing the snes review series?
4:55:35 Where you talk about monopoly. I really don't like the game at all. It takes way too long, the set up and put away like you mentioned. I also don't like the trading aspect of it where to get 1 property set people may or may not give that to you. Usually if you do get it, it's not just here. You have to pull teeth to get it. So I play with house rules and eliminate trading by having people get at least 1 property set. Also If I land on a said color I'll just buy the one I need for the set.
3:23:54
The highlight of this stream.
I dont believe we have Mrs Vickys Halapheno chips in NY but they sound good!
Great stream like always Mike. Someday you should try a Monster Party no death run or something in the future for around Halloween or something. That would be pretty cool.
1:34:55 thru 1:37:55 Mike vs. Bluto Saga
These are the best videos to sleep to! These and AVGN videos!
Red Hot Riplets are the Best Chips hands down! If you are ever in the St. Louis area, grab a bag! They even have their own theme song lol
Doritos buffalo blue cheese very good hard to find. Anything boardwalk malt vinegar. Pizza hut chips but discontinued they were the best of all time.
Pizza Hut Doritos were the best of time!
I want Doritos Tapatio in every store. Quit limonizing shit and put these out heavily.
We need a full playthrough of M.U.L.E. someday.
Oh Krusty's Fun House I had that and also have Super Krusty's funhouse but I need to play Kabuki some time Good list Mike
Aww, I came for Megaman, I didn't care it's been done before.
They don't make them anymore, but "Tom's" salt and pepper chips were the best chips ever
Legend of Kage is fine, tough as hell though.
I use to love eating chips of any kind. But i hate them now. Most i can eat are Funyuns.
Hey Mike whats good? Love watching you play
Use to always eat ruffles, jays kettle cooked, and krunchers but they seem not to be that good anymore
kabuki have the pink alien thing from contra last stage in the background
No joke those "Rap Snack" chips are the truth! The BBQ and cheddar ones, holy shit. You're welcome in advance trust me!
Backed
"Get you some product" Master P

Did I just hear Erin?
I thought it was hilarious how you ended up spending 40 minutes on Jaws in the other video just because some random question in chat triggered your determination to beat that game.
Let's see what this one has in store!
LOL i just watched it. Was it 40 minutes? LOL
Mission Impossible living up to the title
Kabuki quantum fighter is awesome
Like a mix of ninja gaiden and Batman
Can’t beat that
@ Mike : did you know there are 7 , Lightgun games, on the Sega CD alone? And it includes Lethal Enforcers 1 and 2, which, are excellent "Ports". You should buy my buddy all of those lightgun games for his collection. ... ;-D
Ruffles All Dressed are the best chip there is, no contest. Are they just obscure or something? Has anyone tried them? Dang they are great
Awesome stream Mike ! Love some Kabuki Quantum Fighter !!!
Man you really should have given Magmax a better try, that game is amazing .
Man....I wish Mike would revisist God Hand and/or Light Crusader!
Awesome another live stream, for October you should try and play Doom 3
667 2:12:44 legend of kage is cracktastic
Doritos Tapatio is only chip that matters. Takis Nitro maybe. Other chips are like oatmeal in comparison.

Yup, Mafat Conspiracy is the same series as Golgo 13: Top Secret Episode, in which that main guy (in the blue suit who looks at the camera) has sex with a gal in a hotel room in one scene (they don't show it but it's implied). LOL you actually hit a 60 (triple 20) on your 2nd shot in Magic Darts.
I been subscribed for years bro and I have not yet seen a vid of you playing Mario rpg for snes
Lone Ranger is definitely my favorite of the list.
James And Mike 2020!
