BRO…I’ve learned so much from you over the past two years. I’m a director but I often have to color my own stuff. I really appreciate the knowledge you generously share. I’m on your mailing list and one day I’m gonna take your master class to show appreciation. God bless.
Video suggestions - client work in the industry (workflow from start to finish) - working with skin tones in heavy RGB-lighting scenarios - grading long takes with changing lighting / exposure / colors - how to use the Pre-Group, Post-Group and Timeline features
Is the warper color space aware? Does it help the image that it's in Log C or, like a qualifier, is it easier to get a cleaner transformation after a rec709 conversion?
Great tutorian. Indeed, this color spider tool is giant. I used to work with something similar for stills fotography - with the 3D Lut Creator. Results are awesome, and LUTs can get exported for later Re-use.
Hey man. Thanks for all your hard work. I do have a question though. Why do you put the halation effect before the HDR? I understand creating the impact look like it was film, but I am curious as halation + grain by their design is blooming or “clipping potential highlight amd shadow information”. Wouldn’t you want the HDR before so it plays with the base line image out of the camera? Thanks again
Hey Qazi, I signed up for the webinar, watched it all the way through, and it was great! Learned a lot from you. However, it did not redirect me to download the powergrades/footage like you promised? Did I miss something?
Do you have any tips on color grading smartphone footage? I film with my phone and I can shoot in log only with filmic pro, but it isn't something too special and I like shooting with the default camera more.
Hey Qazi! Why do you put the CST before your LUT? Is it destructive to put it at the beginning? I usually have a creative LUT (if used) at the very end, but i guess my process is inverted from yours?
best video i have ever seen, thank you so much. I have a question: if you have multiple source videos and they have different brightness levels, will you have to adjust each video separately before stitching them together? sry 'bout my bad English
Can do a video where you only color grade with lift gamma and gain primaries? You can use power windows and any other tricks but can only use those tools. It would be great to see how well they work
Just a curiosity: 1. What was the format of your raw video? LOG? SLOG? 2. What was the export settings? Did you export MAIN10 or MAIN, REC709 or REC2020 HLG? Tks.
Awesome tool to use instead of cussing out the LUT. But I thought split toning would be like duotone. Maybe you could do a tutorial on duotone in DR 17? Thanks for sharing your genius!
This isn’t as separated as it could be. It’s a quick short cut, but I’d say split toning via curve would be more ideal so your changes don’t leak into your middle grey and effect your entire image like it does here.
@@theqazman hey man lol as a professional, you of all people should know professionals are capable of making poor color grading decisions too. No need to get defensive. Just because you see it in a movie doesn’t make it ideal. Imagine a sound engineer handling their audio terribly the same way Nolan did in Tenet just because Nolan did it. Mind you, I’m not saying your grade is bad, it’s great. But you mentioned color separation; how are the colors separated if they are leaking into one another? If done via curve, you still have the gradual change in tone because you have control of the roll off as you anchor middle grey so the split toning only affects shadows and highlights. That way, you maintain healthy skin tones and more. Not going to share a link because it seems It got my previous comment deleted, but if you have a look at Cullen Kelly’s Building a Look Part 1, for example, you’ll see what I’m talking about.
1) Per lavorare il piu' possibile in un color space piu' ampio. 2) Perche il Film emulation LUT e' appunto una LUT e come tale ha un processo distruttivo dei dati che una volta persi non si possono piu' recuperare
Hey, im shooting with a sony alpha 6000, how do i know what to put in color space transform? i mean like input gamma, output gamma, output color space. thanks
You're doing that pretty generously and then people do that pretty heavily and bam, everything looks alike and cliché. People over doing things that are supposed to serve-a-vision, as trends, actually kill many nice things in art. It's one of the sad aspects of mainstream culture.

big upvote for the last one! always struggling with it
I love the way Waqas Qazi teaches.
1) What he says
2) What shows you
3) What you see (for example the shortcuts!!)
Qazi, this video is a gem. Haven't been using color warper till I saw this vid. Thanks!
Best color grading video I've ever watched. Been on the scene for a minute, but this has been the most profound so far. Thanks Qazi!
1:52 “don’t get confused yet”. Had my sides hurting from laughter
i think this is the place i can find a good grading class
These simple videos are heaven for me 💜

My luma mix when set to Zero then also my individual channels still move together.. please guide where Iam going wrong
so does this mean there's no need for parallel/layer nodes for color correction? You've used one node to achieve so much so quickly...
plz do a video on how to export for youtube and facebook..bcoz everytime i export for youtbe or facebook it looses its quality drastically...
Love the videos! Do you have a video on HDR workflow and color grading? Thanks!
I do in my Masterclass
Helpful ❤️

Love your work great video. Question. I work with pocket 4k in davinci wide gaumut. Should i use cst and select bmpcc 4k at the color wheels

blue vs yellow is duo enough
What should I do to see only gold and cyan colors like your waveform?
What is the color space configured for your project?
Its mind blowing sir♥️
Я рад что нашёл тебя )) Буду изучать DaVinci Resolve 17 !!)) У меня правда Sony a7_M 3, но думаю твои уроки мне помогут !!

Watch Amelie and come talk to me. Who said your changes shouldn't leak. It's a work of an amateur when there are hard cuts and no sutble gradation.

can you do how to grade badly shot image?
complimenti, bel video. posso chiederti perché il nodo Color Correction Transform lo usi alla fine?

@@Pierluca72 si grazie ma non capisco perché non al primo nodo ma all'ultimo
When I move things in the wrapper, the whole video is changing color, even if I put it on 12x12. What am I doing wrong?
Hey, im shooting with a sony alpha 6000, how do i know what to put in color space transform? i mean like input gamma, output gamma, output color space. thanks
All explained in my Masterclass 😀
When I select the pointer in colour warper, whole pic change. What am I missing?
how can i get this footage for pratice
People are talking about something called DCT when it comes to Color Grading, Can you explain what it is?
You mean CST?
