I built 6 LEGO space mechs using things I learned from building LEGO Star Wars mechs over the past 6 months. I combined LEGO sets, based mechs off of minifigures, and modified mechs from other themes to create unique mechs for this video.

My favourite was the space police mech, mostly because it was done to a size that Lego usually doesn't do. You've inspired me to do the same - build up some mechs for random minifigures.
If you do another video like this, you should do it based on figures that wouldn't even usually have mechs, like a pirate, Lego Friends character or a Robin Hood style minifigure from the castle line.
It is a really fun idea, I think the second Mech video was even going further with this 'minifigure style into mech' theme. For some reason I watched part 2 before I stumbled into this.
Great Job! The way one of those rounded 1x1 studs just rolled off the table, when you opened the polybag was funny but relatable...

I wouldnt say you “fixed space mechs”, but more like you “designed space mechs”. theyre all pretty good designs though in my opinion

I wish you had more weapon choices like axes and spears and not just sticking with swords the whole time, like the drill was amazing. That’s my only complaint I’d buy all of these if they were sets and they looked great!
The drill was gigantic. It is fun, albeit a bit over the top. Having more melee weapon styles is a great idea, though he did a baton and shield combination too.

These are all a specific style of mech, individualized with detail to create a certain look. They are not my personal style of mechs, I prefer the bulky Mechwarrior style, the blocky style of Transformers (the orginal G1, not the movie) or the sleek jet-style from Macross. Still, that doesn't take away from the excellent designs. I think they are built very well and you surprised me with a few of the ideas that you implemented.

outta sheer curiosity, is that ring of yours you wearin tungsten? if it is, have you knocked it against any walls by accident? if you have how’s it not shattered? i heard with enough kinetic energy, those rings would break into pieces if hit at certain angle or somethin. if yours hasn’t broken yet, then you sir are lucky. also there’s a good chance the tungsten rings have been modified since i last heard about said kinetic energy problems. which was about 2-4 yrs ago

I recall my brother purchased a Tungsten ring a couple years ago when he got married. From talking with him about it, I believe that is their intended design! I believe it's meant for working in more harsh environments and not having to worry about a gold/silver ring crimping around your finger from pressure. When the tungsten ring experiences enough pressure, it will shatter instead of crush your finger!
I would guess it's easier to replace a ring than fix up a damaged finger 😅. Also, you'd have to go through several tungsten rings before the cost exceeded a nicer gold ring! Although, I see a lot of people using silicon rings nowadays, which would be even more pressure resistant than tungsten!

I haven't had any issues with it at all, but it only cost me $70 so I am happy to replace it with another one if it breaks.
Gotta say the galaxy trooper mech look s amazing, but it should require a shoulder weapon. The space miner mech is made and looks like heavy-duty mining, for which it's awesome. Finally, the space police mech is very creative, especially the double baton and shield. You've made great lego mechs.😎👌🔥

I love these builds you should make a video about making alternative builds for the mechs based off the vehicles you used to upgrade the mech

I love the necks but I hate that Lego is only using the slightly bent joint piece. It makes posing more limited.

4:45 I got this exact set and modified it did a complete overhaul on the arms made both have four fingers one arm has a fixed circular neon green piece with smaller ones in the middle and a spear/dagger idk really but it looks cool

These kinds of vids are exactly my jam, I'm glad I subscribed to the channel a week or so ago and now starting to go a little bit into the backlog of videos.
Not only are they interesting builds, the style of the video is extremely satisfying to watch. I would even love a bit of a longer form, where you go a bit into your thoughts and the learning process that probably takes place during it.
What I would love is if you made dioramas and/or episodes/short films because this would probably be one of the only newer Lego series I’d watch.
These mechs are super cool looking. I wish these were the mechs sold in stores.

The City Space Mech is great and I like the Police Mech as well. I had made a pirate Mech in the past but don’t think I finalized it yet and plan to make an Ice Planet as well.

I’ll probably also add elbows to the 11$ space mech when I get it, but other than that I’ll probably keep mine as is. Don’t get me wrong, your design _does_ look cool. I simply prefer the tool and hand the original comes with.

Awesome! It's a fun one to modify. Lots of possibilities.
My question is would more people buy sets if they increased the price by 15% or something to accommodate a few more pieces to make lego sets feel more finished and appealing to the fans.
By having it go through a specialist design and play test process before releasing it by people that are in that space but were not apart of the build team for creating the set.
So they have a fresh perspective and could fix alot of "issues" or improve features to make the set just better....without adding more pieces to bump it past its selling range.
This translates to most all themes and sets, especially starwars sets like "bubba fetts starship" is an example of it taking 30 pieces to fix everything wrong with it. And make it better for what it was.
I feel like Lego could be ...better these days with how many talented builders can make builds better without sacrificing playability or stability in sets, while doubling its appeal and play value. 😅
Official Lego sets are designed under incredibly tight constraints. For one thing, they have to be sturdy and functional as toys and can't use 'illegal' connections (i.e. ones that are overly fragile and/or stress the parts), not to mention price-they're expensive enough as-is. Builds like the ones shown in the video never have to account for any of this, because they're more-or-less just display pieces.
