“roll” is actually slang for self harm in japanese, so that’s why the song is called rolling girl and why she keeps saying “once again, i will roll”
edit: i forgot abt this 🥶 when i commented this i just stated it from memory from a comment i once saw abt it?? idk if its actually true and if anything it might just be a metaphor rather than actual slang, so sry abt that 🙏

I genuinely feel like the maker of the iceberg could have just put "Onibi Series" which is the name of the series with these three songs included. There are way more songs to the whole of the series which are just as disturbing in the context of those three songs. Just putting onibi series would have solved that lol.

For example Coin Locker Baby is about her mother not being able to take care of her loved child so therefore stuffs her in a coin locker. Unfortunately the child dies before the mother comes to her senses and comes to retrieve the child and leaves the mother in a cycle of regret (or, that's just my take in of the song's message).

A small correction on The Tailor of Enbizaka: Luka is actually never in a relationship with the man in the song. She has a crush on him, a client of her shop, and it turns into an obsession where she follows him around.
The clothes she makes are comissioned by the man for his family. The kimono for his wife, the sash and the hairpin for his two daughters. She feels that if she wears these clothes he has asked for thinking of "those other women", she will catch his attention, and thus, whenever the specific woman who the commission is for goes to pick it up, she murders her. She doesn't murder them all at the same time, and it is established in the lyrics that there has been "a string of murders in the town, people murmur but are eerily quiet, pitying the relatives of the victims".
Since the tailor refuses to believe he has an established family, she thinks he's a womanizer, and even pedophilic, as she thinks he has romanced a little girl (his youngest daughter).

    • @incw.2601
      @incw.2601 2 года назад +1

Actually, if we're taking the book into account, too, she actually hates this guy. He murdered her family, so she killed his, and this song is actually her defense in court! It doesn't work and she gets her head cut off.

      @boxwitch 2 года назад +36

@@incw.2601 That's only if you go into the Evillious Chronicles media beyond the songs and beyond the Vocaloid part. Since the iceberg is about the song, and this is the explanation MOTHY had given back in the day about the song, I wrote that one.

@oh my fucking god Sorry about the late reply. You're right!
English is not my first language so when I was very into these songs, proper translations to my language weren't very available yet (I still don't think the translations that exist are very good compared to the several English translations, but now I can read those too). So I mostly stuck to The Seven Deadly Sins saga rather than understand there was a bigger series going on. I'm also not very good with names so I don't use the narrative names a lot.
And again, I'm talking about the song in isolation, as it can also be seen as that if you decide not to look up the lore. So, if we only use what we're given within the song, we can get the story that's the alibi, but we don't know it's an alibi or what the real reason for the murders was.
Thank you for the correction! Love to read about this story every now and then, brings good memories

    • @pineapples7194
      @pineapples7194 Год назад +18

That's what Luka wanted you to think, that it's an infatuated obsession. This is a might spoilery, but she did not have a crush on him at all. The man is the cause of her family's death, and as well as the fire in Enbizaka, (I think? It's her hometown) because the dude was a part of some sort of organization that has a lot of power, so she made it as if she killed him because she was jealous. But the only thing she was jealous about was that he got to keep a family while being a horrible man

Is anyone up to working with me/recommending more songs to add them?

    • @MiniEmber
      @MiniEmber 2 года назад +19

@@anewasafreak Personally the only Ghost song I would add is honey I’m home. There is so so much other stuff out there that is disturbing or messed up.
An example that comes to the top of my head is that one song that is about origins of Alice of wonderland and the child the creator may of gr00med (not confirmed but highly likely.) It’s on secrets of wysteria levels of disturbing and honestly it needs to stay hidden.
Edit: The English sub version was age restricted then taken down but a different country sub video is still up and not age restricted. Honestly some videos need to be careful about the songs they mentioned. I may know who the producer is but they went a bit far. The video itself has disturbing imagery, including a few bits that are just.. part of me wants it to stay hidden but the other part of me wants answers as to why the “art” is used. It’s generally disgusting at one point. I may include the link to the version that is still on RUclips.
After some thought, I have decided to share the link that I’m talking about. Warning s3xual lyrics (even if the translation is not English), disturbing imagery, talks about p3dophill@ and just the end of the song showing messed up images. Keep this in mind when listening, this song is about two real people and a situation that could of happened. Please don’t put this in an iceberg video, I’m only sharing it for awareness. The producer has not reuploaded the song on their RUclips channel and may regret it, I’m not sure. ruclips.net/video/BuH4X47moxA/видео.html
Edit 2: I have nothing against the producer (currently, if stuff comes out or something about them being a bad person then I will) and actually listen to their music, they make dark songs but I just feel like the video that I linked is questionable. I hope they regret it but I haven’t heard anything.

Furan Inetsu Girl (Similar subject matter to Gomene Gomene. )
Suji (Although Maretu is pretty popular and well known for making disturbing songs, I'd like to highlight Suji here.)
『±0』and Rakuraku Anrakushi by Pepoyo (Both have suicidal themes. 『±0』is a little more straightforward, but Rakuraku Anrakushi explores that desire of having someone else do the job for you out of fear. (pain, sin, aftermath, etc)
Yubikiri (I wouldn't say it's as disturbing, but it deals with a prostitute cutting off her pinky finger to present it to the person of her desire. If I recall correctly on that one.)
Ningyou Aizou Girl (Another song from the Jigokugata Ningen Doubutsuen album! Girl likes strangling a little too much.)
    I'll think of more later.

  • @hypnorosace
    @hypnorosace 2 года назад +81

A small correction but Kara Kara Kara (LOLOLOL) could actually be referring to a song by Babuchan (who also made That Happy Child), as Kikuo’s song is titled Kara Kara Kara no Kara instead.
From what I remember, Kara Kara Kara (LOLOLOL) is about a girl, portrayed by Miku, in an abusive relationship and she was used for her body. She commits suicide but still gets to have the last laugh because she had an STD and gave it to her abuser (I could be wrong but I think that’s the common interpretation of the song)
Also I’ve seen that interpretation of Mondaiji-P’s Crushed Mary floating around but I’m pretty sure there’s no connection between the song and Mari Konno, the victim from the Otaku killer case (small detail but even the names aren’t pronounced the same as Mary (the one in the Crushed Mary song) is pronounced メエーリ (meeri) while Mari is probably pronounced マリ (mari) ) so no idea how people associated the two together ???
Last thing, fun(?) fact : the Okaasan reversed message can actually be found in the song Okaasan Rebirth, by the same producer, and not in the original Okaasan (thank fuck because the original is already uncomfortable enough)

Fun fact: As they have said the Evilous Chronical has a lot of lore, and Conchita is the same: Her family is cursed by a demon that will makes people incredibly hungry and die if they don't eat, Conchita's mother have this curse but Conchita doesn't, but still her mother continued to put food in her mouth despite she saying that she is completely full(since she went mad). One day Conchita was introduced to two people which is the two yellow hair servant (in which I think they don't age?) and they will stay will her for basically forever. (Now we get to the part in which I don't know if it's official or not learned it from pjsk)) When Conchita grew up she has tasted all the food except a very rare pig, but the devil appeared and gave her an offer, they will give her the blood of said pig but in exchange put the curse on her. After thinking for a few days she accepted it and as time passes by, she crave more and more food. One day there was a chef that wanted to have a meal with Conchita, Conchita accepted. At the day of the meal the chef poisoned both of the meals because the chef was supposed to marry her when he was younger but ran away instead. Now he want to die together to be together forever in the afterlife(More info in the song Drug of Gold). But since Conchita has the curse, the poison didn't work and instead cooked him and ate him so he can be apart of her body. But when she was eating him, she said while crying ,' A great meal in this world.' (After this there are some speculation of mine so it's also not official)After that she ate the two servant sice she want them to be apart of her body. Alas when she is almost dead the devil told her to eat the baby she had before but she refuses, forcing herself to eat herself alive while the baby lived on. This shows that even with extreme hungar, she still has the faintest humanity in her.(Also the chef's name is Carlos and he thought Conchita wouldn't recognize him, and after they talked he actually is basically her husband, that's where the baby came from. Then he got devour because he put poison in their meal)

actually, in the spider and the kitsune like lion, Mai Shishikusa (the gumi in the song is her mother) got kidnapped by presumably Akari (the kitsune) 's brother after the clan got the curse and Mai was force fed human flesh and got to like it, then in the Fox's wedding she ate her parents on her 18th birthday^^
the clan was only cursed for cannibalism i think and the only explanation for what Ryou did (gumi from the spider song) would be logically that she killed Akari with a demon blade because Akari angered her by imitating Mai's cries although Masa said there isnt any correlation with the blade and Ryou's madness :P

I'm honestly so happy a few evillious chronicles songs made it on here, the entire lore is confusing itself (coming from someone who knows a good chunk of lore) and hearing someone actually feature songs that are NOT only just Daughter of Evil and Servant of Evil. But here are some more lore about Moonlit Bear and Evil Food Eater Conchita.
Eve (Miku) actually hallucinated the two babies as apples, as a result from her stillbirth way back and who to blame is her husband, Adam (KAITO) who put his .. "seed" into the god's seed being used for a project and Eve being the candidate. (Project MA is an event existing in the OSS, basically birth two twins that the twin god's souls can go into and bam you are queen!) Adam did that as attempt to make the children biologically his to take control of the country. (who knew Eve was the candidate and was actually just using her but then fell in love.)
Fun Fact: Eve and Adam were actually long lost twins. They didn't know, though.
The "Bear" was actually another candidate for Project MA after Eve (after her stillbirth, she fled with Adam to live in isolation) and the children were the two twins that she birthed for Project MA, but broke out of the Lab to give her children better lives.
Onto Evil Food Eater Conchita. Banica was actually in an engagement to her chef before she went batshit, except it was when her chef was just a prince and Banica was from a disgraced family name (Conchita) This engagement was broken by Banica's eating habits/manners. Banica also actually was possessed by the Demon of Gluttony that was the cause of her family's death back in her childhood, that's why she is "Evil Food Eater."
Also! Just before she ate herself and after eating her servants. She had a baby with the chef (Her Fiance) who she was about to eat, pressured by the demon of gluttony, but refused and ate herself instead. As a result, she ate the demon of gluttony, and then became the new demon of gluttony herself.
And how her Fiance got there was because Banica was getting investigated by the public because of her sudden disappearance. Her Fiance, named Carlos who took on the name Josef, decided to change his face using the Venom Sword (another demonic vessel) and be her chef to investigate.
Another Fun Fact! The maid and butler Banica had, were the reincarnations of the kidnapped children in Moonlit Bear.
Forgive me if I ended up spoiling a bit too much about the songs lore, I get really excited when I see Evillious Chronicles finally getting the recognition it deserves besides Daughter Of Evil and Servant Of Evil
Also, the selfish adult reasons were actually just Riliane herself, she was possessed by the demon of gluttony at the time and planned an assassination for Alexiel (Allen) to become the heir. For his safety, he was taken in by Leonhart Avadonia and given a new name (Allen). His situation was pronounced dead to the public. Riliane then got exorcised, resulting in her losing memories of Allen.

genuinely this video makes me miss the older days of vocaloid. that isnt to discredit many of the more popular horror centric producers such as maretu, ghost, vayne, and kikuo, but i think there was something about that sweet spot between 2007-2013 that just added to the uneasiness of a lot of these tracks. the system was still in its infancy and thus many of these songs didnt exactly have the best tuning, but i think that was a plus rather than a hinderance. the art and music was rough and made it feel like stumbling upon something you were never supposed to see. the roughness of the subgenre made it feel so much more genuinely horrifying than the more pristine works we see today. i will always have a soft spot for the works of machigerita-p because not only because of nostalgia but due to just the raw quality of his work. we will never have something like that again and it fucking sucks.

    Another note :
Alice of Human Sacrifice may or may not be based off the real life “Alice Killings”. Note that it isn’t confirmed by the producer, but it’s awfully similar to the killings. So similar, in fact, that it makes it exceptionally creepy.
WARNINGS FOR DISCUSSIONS OF REAL LIFE CRIMES BELOW. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
For those who are unaware, there were real life killings that coincides with each of the songs main characters. Meiko, the first Alice, can be associated with the tragically passed away Sasaki Megumi. Sasaki Megumi was an owner of a small restaurant. Many who met her often said she was head strong, social, and someone with a short temper. She was last seen alive at 1 in the morning after drunkenly walking home alone. The next day, a couple was walking along a path. One that was covered in blood. Curiously, they found the body of Megumi. It was impaled by several tree branches, each body piece separate from the others. Horrified, they called the police. When the police arrived, they found no DNA (besides the barf of the female couple), and a card crammed into Megumi’s mouth. It was the Jack of Spades. On the back was written “Alice”
The second killing happened a few years later. This time, the victim was an up and coming singer. His name was Yamane Akio. One day, he was abducted from his apartment. His band mates were the last ones to see him alive. A few weeks later, as the band was preparing to play at a bar, they found yet another gruesome sight. Akio was found slumped over one of the tables. His vocal cords ripped out and a single gunshot wound to the head. In his hand they found him clutching his vocal cords and a card. The King of Diamonds. With the word “Alice” written on the back.
The second to last killing is unfortunately the most gruesome out of the bunch. Kai Sakura was much younger than the previous victims, who were both in their 20’s. Kai Sakura was only in her teens. Beloved by all, she had her whole life in front of her. A week before graduation from High School, Sakura went missing. Her parents were frantic, trying to find her. However, they would never see her alive again. 2 days later, they found her body. Only, it was in a shallow grave. Marked with the playing card Queen of Clubs, flying like a sail on top a stick. She was found horribly mutilated. Her eyes carved from her body. Skin flayed, and a smile carved open. A crown had been sewn to her head while she was alive.Around the grave, they found many different messages, all disturbing. “Death is a Distorted dream” “She will forever Rule” “Ha Ha! Those who die are the lucky ones”. No handwriting matches were ever found.
The last killing is the least Gruesome. The two victims were siblings Oshiro Hayato and Hina. Hina was the eldest between the two, and was often described as being stubborn. Her younger brother, Hayato, was described as very bright. He even skipped a grade to be in the same grade as his sister. They were both found dead in their beds on April 4th, 2005. No visible wounds were anywhere, but the cause of death was determined to be lethal injections. The police deduced that since their bedroom windows were opened, the killer snuck in and killed both of them without waking the other. Each sibling held one half of the final calling card- the Ace of Hearts, which had “Alice” written on the back.

Hey uhm I watched a video talking about this and these killings were not real. They were actual story behind the killings was someone dropped a playing card by the corpse but that was an accident by the killer and it got them attention so they kept doing it cause they liked the attention. Quite surprised MARETU's works weren't mentioned. He's my favourite producer, and all of his works has a dark story/theme to it. my favourite would be SIU which is all about abuse from the abuser's perspective with lines such as ("why were you even ever born?") ("Suck it Up.) and in the end, you could hear a slowing heartbeat which eventually stopped. which is most probably the abused committing .
    Honorary mentions:
    -Rakuraku Anrakushi/Pepoyo
(very clear expression of wanting to use anesthesia to off theirself. they desperately do not want to, judging by the last line, but didn't have any choice)
    -Abnormality dancin' Girl/Guchiry
(a student wanting to have high grades in school. they became obsessed with a girl who is exactly that, they proceeded to have a metamorphosis, like a blooming butterfly, becoming a better person when in reality, it was all an illusion. in the end she just offed herself)
    -Failure Work Girl/Kairiki Bear-MARETU
(A girl who seemed to have been verbally abused at school, making her feel useless and that she's a failure. she also seems to fake her emotions/feelings. she expresses the wish to be reborn as happier child who is loved)

*Yeah, I'm also really surprised because of that.*
*MARETU is also my favorite composer, I love dark themed songs for some reason.*
*My favorite songs are probably Taste of Cockroach and Koukatsu, not only because of the lore behind all of Maretu's songs, but most of them are really catchy for some reason.*
*Also, just gonna add some more songs because why not?*
      *- Taste of Cockroach*
*Ngl, this song is surely REALLY catchy. Anyways, this one basically talks about how a girl is suffering a lot because of bullying and her abusive boyfriend, which harms her physically and even s3xually. I don't have much to say about this song, it's just one of the best songs made by MARETU in my opinion.*
      *- New Darling*
*I think this one is a bit more disturbing-*
*Well, this song is about that same girl from earlier that, as I mentioned earlier, she has a abusive boyfriend.* *On this song, she basically acts like he's right, even tho she's actually mentally unstable to even talk with someone about the suffering and can't even take it anymore.*
      *Last but not least..*
      *- Koukatsu*
*Oh boy, this one is one of my favotires.*
*Alright, so, the same girl from the last 2 songs I mentioned earlier, FINALLY decides to kill her abusive boyfriend.*
*The song describes it in quite a lot of details.*
*There isn't much to say about this song, I just find it awesome for some reason.*

The young Conchita needs to get married to a Duke but the Duke is disgusted by her and rejects her, Conchita became sick and the demon of gluttony makes a deal with her, basically Conchita can eat anything. She finds 2 loyal servants, Arte and Pollo and starts eating everything, the 15th cook (the duke that rejected her) tries to end both of them with poison but Conchita doesn't die and ate the dying cook, then ate the servant and was going to eat her baby but she instead eats herself and become the demon of gluttony

Riliane is in love with a prince but he rejects her for Miku (Michaela), Riliane is jealous so she ordered a genocide of all green haired elves and this leds to the Lucifenian revolution, Allen doesn't want her twin to die so he tells the truth to her sister and they swap clothes, Allen in Riliane's clothes gets killed while Riliane changes her identity to "Rin" and became a nun, she expressed her regret in "regret message"

Evil Food Eater Conchitas summary was innacurate but I can't say I blame you. Evillious is very difficult to understand.
What actually happened is that her chef, Joseph was her ex fiance who resolved to kill her and himself when he saw how far she had slipped. He put poison in a dish they shared, he died shortly after eating it but Banica having a contract with the Demon of Gulttony, was unharmed. She later had his child and the Demon of Gluttony pushed her to eat it, however, she refused and are herself instead. In eating herself and the Demon she became the new demon of Gulttony as well as the Queen of the Dead and Master of the Graveyard. Her next major appearance is in the song of the same name, Master of the Graveyard.

Thanks for the video! I hope you don't think I'm being rude, but I did notice a couple of things:
Two-Faced Lovers: you mention a widespread and plausible theory, but it is in no way 'canon' that this song is about unwanted pregnancy and abortion, so maybe mention that this is speculation?
Servant of Evil: actually Rilliane never saw Allen being beheaded in the crowd, that idea comes from fanmade PVs. In the actual lore she had already fled.
World End Dancehall: again, I don't think the 'two lovers who commit suicide together'-theory is confirmed.
Scissorsloid: the reason KAITO is their master is because Miku and Luka are presented as self-aware Vocaloids.
Fear garden: be aware that the iconic PV is not canon but fanmade.
Evil Food Eater Conchita/Evillious Chronicles in general: 25 songs you've found? Really? It's about 80 at this point.
SHOTA SHOTA ISLAND: The lyric being taken down from the Vocaloid wiki is far from uncommon and has happened with multiple other songs as well, so this is hardly unique.
Rotten Girl Grotesque Romance: I am not sure about this one, but I believe KAITO playing the lover, and Luka playing his girlfriend is fan-interpretation since neither of them are shown in the original PV illustration.
Crushed Mary: if I am not mistaken, there is no real evidence that this song was inspired by the actual murder case.
Please correct me if I'm wrong about any of these!
Btw I liked how the music seemed to get darker the deeper you got into the iceberg! Also I personally think gomene gomene and secrets of wysteria are far creepier than the spider and the kitsune-like lion, but that's my own opinion ofc!
EDIT: Many people seem to believe that Alice of Human Sacrifice is also based on a true series of murders, this is NOT TRUE. The story in question is a creepypasta (Not gonna lie, it fooled me when I read it for the first time, but it is 100% fictional as far as I know).

Canonically, Kayo was feigning insanity and was truly not jealous of the women's appearances but the fact that the man still had his family (he had caused a fire that 'killed' Kayo's family).

Eventually it's revealed that her real husband, who everyone thought was dead, was alive and well, (albeit without his memories). He comes back to find his wife, finds her head on a stick, and well-

31:11. if y'all want to know the explanation of crushed mary , okasaan , useless child and secrets of wysteria early, you must be more then 13+ years old to avoid paranoia, trauma and other things.
    [Bad grammar so don't judge]
Explanation of crushed mary: [ this might not be true but the only thing i can remember is mari's death ] : There's a kid named Mari and was playing with her friend in a house. Her friend noticed she was missing. Mari's parents got worried and called the police. What happened with Mari that she was kidnapped by a serial killer. I do not rememeber alot about this but before the serial killer m0rd3rs Mari, he decided to do some 13+ things with her, after he done that he probably might have d1sm3mb3r3d her, he took her limbs and teeth in his oven. He cooked it! Then he decided to do more 13+ things with Mari's d3ad body. Gladly he experienced d3ath cause wtf. [ BASED ON A TRUE STORY ]
Explanation of Okasaan [ dont rememeber alot abt this ] okasaan in english means "mother" . Nope this is not a mother's day song or something but the meaning of it is that while Hatsune Miku is still a child, her mom will choke/str4ngl3 her when Miku did something wrong. [ NOT BASED ON A TRUE STORY BUT ITS SHOWING TO STOP CHILD 4BUS3 ]
Explanation of Useless Child: [ not really what I remember ] This song was inspired by one of a real incident that happened. So its based on a true story. Well when the useless child su1c1d3s or runs away the mom changes the lyrics to "im a useless kid". This is one of the similar stories about this 😊😊
So basically there's one female that was tied to her bed everyday avoiding communication, studying and much more. Since her birthmother got arrested about that she was sent to an orphanage or something, everytime her caretaker will try to 4bus3 her and teach her. Since she was 20 and was back with her birthmother- she forgotted everything that her caretakers teached her. Just like when the useless child grows he forgotted alot of things.
Explanation of Secrets of Wysteria: 🤮🤢🤮🤮🤮🤢🤮 no way sh1t this is messed up *sighs* you know what, im telling it anyway. Basically is kinda similar to crushed mary but more and way more disgusting. ( c4nn1b4ll1sm, v10l3nce )

Ok so I actually found two songs I wanna share here, mainly because they weren't mentioned and I feel like the should as they are amazing.
Though I have a short tale to tell... As when I was trying to find the name of one song I found the other by mistake.
I originally found song 1 because I heard it in a flipnote as a kid, and was curious about the song.
This song is called " the black and white ward" aka "the monochromatic ward" the name of the user who made it however is written in kanji and I can't read it sorry. If you just look up the name though I'm sure you'll find it.
The song follows rin and len who are in a hospital,
Both of which are "corpse's" and need to be "exchanged" len tries to escape asking rin as she points to a exit he makes a run for it. Only for doctors to ask where he went and rin points them to where he went, seemingly realizing they might kill him she attacks them, only to fail and have them kill her instead she proclaims as she passes that "the transaction in complete, and you are now whole"
The second song I found by mistake when trying to find that song, this song apparently is part of the dark circus series and I have to admit I actually think is scarier then the song dark circus.
This song is " wide knowledge of the late madness"
The song follows Miku as she waits in her room watching people pass by some looking in her room as they walk past but each meet the same fate.
And as it becomes her turn she at first is ecstatic to see what was going on only to have the horrible realization come to her of what was actually happening in the room down the hall.

It's been such a long time since I was really into vocaloid and expected to not know a lot of these songs but I'm surprised that I actually recognize most of them! Guess I was in the fandom a lot deeper than I thought lol

There were some that I never knew so it's surprising how deep the vocaloid rabbit hole goes. Seeing all the comments adding in other disturbing vocaloid songs that weren't in the video makes me realize how many Vocaoids songs there really are.

honestly of all ghost songs idk why they picked appetite of a people pleaser lol. off the top of my head, Housewife Radio, Honey I'm Home, Amygdala's Ragdoll, Hyperdontia + Novocaine, and hell if we're going for pure obscurity + disturbingness then Project Distortion easily knocks all the afformentioned out of the park lol. just seems tame compared to other stuff they've put out there 😭
