The irritating part about people unnecessarily reprimanding you like that MULTIPLE times is that you know you’re not in the wrong, but you can’t help but feel frustrated because you feel like no matter what you do there’s going to be an issue.

Everyone will be on their phones. You don’t want phones around? Put a sign up and also announce it every now and then to the people in the room. No need to yell at certain people about having their phone out when everyone else has theirs out, too. Some people do not have good people skills, but yet, they work with the public.
IMO all of the negative things you mentioned are the fault of the company who put this on. They clearly didn’t have procedures in place for common “problems “ like phone usage and inappropriate questions, and they didn’t train their staff on how to treat PAYING customers. Shame on them for not providing an amazing experience!

The employees were SO weird. When I went to wait for my picture on Saturday I was standing in the hall like you and was yelled at for having my phone out and then when we went into the room got yelled at again for holding my phone even though there was no way to sneak a pic of anyone. Also...no sign that says no phones or cameras.... Wish I ran into you on Saturday so I could say hi! I wanted to go on Sunday but tickets were sold out. Kind of glad I didn't because the crazy obsessed fans who think they will be hooking up with Ian and Paul would've made it hard for me to enjoy honestly...so creepy.

This kind of harassment from event staff is the number one reason I don’t go to events. Because if I paid all this money to go to an event and I keep getting harassed it will ruin my time. The staff hopefully needs to be replaced for next time.
I went to VidCon in 2014 with my little sister. I was in my 20s and was treated HORRIBLY by the staff and security there, despite doing nothing wrong and following all the rules. And the kids there were treated even worse. This was 10 years ago and still makes me so angry to think about how bad of an experience it was for me.
So my husband is into conventions and I usually go with him…I feel the same way with the panels and the weirdo questions!! I honestly feel like the people asking the questions just try to think of the most outlandish things to ask so they can feel like they’re doing something so unique or different 😅 it gives me such second hand embarrassment
I can’t hardly stand to go in Walmart or the grocery store anymore cause people stink bad!! I literally gag and stay as far away from people as I can. It’s disgusting.
It sucks for people who can't afford all the extras. Why so damn expensive. It's not okay. Maybe they should have tiers. Like lower cost options could be like a pre signed thing from the actors. Or goodie bag. I have no idea. But it sounds like unless you have a lot of money you won't have a good time and that is just not okay. 😢
Thinking perhaps the photographer might not have been the only 2nd tier employee working that convention. If someone is in need of being addressed there are polite ways for staff to talk to the people attending/paying for the convention.

Some women will admire and some women will immediately dislike you, just because your cute and put together without even knowing you. It was totally wrong the way you were treated and I would certainly email who ever puts these conventions together.

They are suppose to help the gusts have a fun memorable experience and get them hyped up to have fun and meet their celebrity guests they have traveled near and far to see and meet. Some volunteers take their position to a point where they feel such a power high and not saying that’s not okay but they can still be kind and polite when helping out. I had so many people come up to me and tell me that I was one of the nicest kindest volunteers there and that I helped ease their anxiety by giving them advice on what to expect during their photo ops and their meet and greets/autographs. Kiki I would love to go to a con with you!! I can’t ever find anyone around here where I live who wants to go to a con and a lot of times they will have the cast from vampire diaries will be there with cast from the walking dead and yes girl there is one in Georgia coming soon and maybe I will see you there. Agree with Eras tour bathroom situation 😂 literally avoided drinking anything so i wouldn't have to use the bathroom. Took away from the experience
