Although he isn't my real grandfather, he has felt like one ever since I married my wife and was introduced to them (My real grandparents live in Russia). It has been awhile since I last visited his house. Recently, I came over to check on things and noticed his lawn hasn't been cut in awhile. Some parts of his property weren't even touched! Without any questions or hesitations, I put him on my schedule for a yard transformation service. I told him to not mow the lawn until Monday because I will be coming out and providing him with FREE lawn mowing service. He was truly amazed and very happy and thankful that I was willing to do this for him. Luke 6:38

I knew I was going to get someone asking why "FREE" and why I would ever charge my grandparents for services... First off, not sure what makes you think I would ever do such a thing. Maybe it's because so many "grandsons" or young teenagers are being pushed more and more to go outside and mow the lawn or do some type of yard work. We have come to a point in time where even now parents or grandparents have to entice kids with some sort of payment or reward. Why is that? It's because generosity is slowly degrading in this new generation of kids/young adults. This title was specifically chosen to encourage that one young individual to be a blessing to the ones they love. Give and ask for nothing in return.
Videos like this are not aimed to only entertain. They are created to educate and to deliver powerful messages to those who see it and willingly recieve it. God bless you my friend 👍🏻

I'm glad you clarified that. I think it terrible when family is charged. I tried to get help from younger family members for their great grandparents, what a joke. NOT! I EVEN offered to pay adult wages for them to help me. I won't be asking again. Some just don't have manners. Respect or any other social teachings that were once taught. If my parents asked it was done with no excuse. They were worth every minute I spent with them and more. I wish they were still here. Your videos are my stress relievers, thank you.
I wouldn't even think of charging my grandparents, not even my parents, when I help them out. Even my friends.. if I offer to help I don't need payment.
It is what it is: HELP. Gratitude is payment enough in my book :)

This was a great message! I started homeschooling last year and we spent half of our time outside during the pandemic learning from my garden. We got so deep into the science part my 8yr old daughter wanted to learn about the ph of soil and the process of composting LOL. She now loves worms, frogs, and dirt. She doesn’t like mowing but I make her do it anyway. I make her do it because as a woman she needs to know how to show pride in wherever you live or whatever you got. My husband work his but off so I don’t mind doing yard work in fact I think I’m better than him LOL. I leave other stuff for him to teach like changing a tire, self defense, fixing small things on a car, fishing, and taking her on dates LOL. He work 5 12hr shifts a week so he doesn’t have much time to rest. I told him wait until she’s 16 and 18 to shoot guns and drive a car though LOL. She doesn’t get paid to do any of that. If she does something extra on her own like washing the car, bagging up straw, reading a book and tell me what she learned, or completing her school work for the week early with a little extra I’ll pay her something. There is no set paydate BUT it’s always a good treat or payment. She is a good girl! Right now most of our time has been spent on house projects like painting the kitchen, putting in new toilets and sinks, building a closet system for her closet and planting bushes and flowers. I’ve noticed there are A LOT of kids with a lot of time on their hands to get in trouble but they stay FAR AWAY from my home LOL. Some of them were leaving trash in my yard and I got permission from their parents for them to mow my yard. They know I have 6 cameras now so I don’t have to worry about a trashy yard anymore LOL.
That's how you show love to your grandparents. Give them their flowers while they're still here.

A lot of young people don't have a Grandpa... After you cut the grass sit down and talk with him.. You know he's your best friend... He would never steer you wrong.. yes there was a time when people did a lot for each other never wanting payment, it still happens today but not as often, I'm of that generation and have done it all my life, believing that what goes around comes around, now I'm old enough to know that it's true. Well done for putting in all that work, you did a good job I think it must be very nice when it's not so dry. Life gets difficult for old people and things like the garden are wonderful places to be when we have time to enjoy being out. Old people are like gardens in many ways.

When you started filming this, the morning light on that little wishing well area was magical. It gave me a nostalgic feeling reminding me of my great grandparents property. It was filled with all kind of flowers, apple trees, a huge garden, a barn and chickens. You did a beautiful job and the trimming and mowing was like therapy to watch.

This wasn’t the worst yard you’ve done, but it’s your grandfather’s yard. Your weed eater really got a workout! That grass near the barbed wire fence was long. The park area is beautiful and has some unique features. Your grandfather is blessed to have you as a grandson! The new equipment trailer is nice.
That was a challenging property...tall grass, lawn obstacles....but you handled it like the pro you are! I'm sure he was quite relieved/grateful to have it done.

My nephews have mowed, shoveled, etc, for my parents many many times. Though they would absolutely NEVER ask to be paid, if Mom & Papa offer, they are not discouraged from accepting it. ☺️

I lost both my parents in 2019 mum 3 Feb and dad 12 Dec I have lived in Canada for most my adult life so i wasn't able to spend as much time with them but they came to visit every few years

I agree with Fill and other subscribers about doing free lawn care for your family or stranger. Fill had great upbringing from his parents and he became a great person. I read the comments and it saddens me to read how people are questioning Fills act of kindness for his grandfather. These are the people that have never done anything nice for someone for free. Also they always expect some kind of payment for the help.
Our world is changing but our respect, caring, and helping people should never change.

i personally as a teenager mow my yard and I'm not complaining its actually peaceful and fun and i also mow my elderly neighbors Aswell sometimes when he needs it and try to help out my grandmother Aswell when i have time and your right most kids in my generation have no respect or generosity and its good exercise

This yard was beautiful before it was mowed. Fabulous now that it is. Often the best family is one you choose. I was Mum or Mum Jean to half the kids in my neibourhood when my kids were younger. A few still call me Mum lol. Happy mowing Fill. 💞💞

I watched Mike's videos, he was pulling weeds 3 feet tall, trimming bushes and trees. Then came back the next day and mulch the areas. The job was to clean up the area and make it look 100% better. ✌💯

I have a 23 year old grandson let me tell you he mows my lawn repairs anything that needs fixed. He is at present remodeling my master bathroom while I am living with my daughter. I am recovering from cancer. He takes me to all chemo treatments, doctors appointments. Anything g I need he gets & brings to me. He is a blessing & I love him so much. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
