- The castle of Noisy was a castle in the Belgian Ardennes. The construction of this neo-Gothic castle started in 1866 and was not completed until 1907. The castle was one of the rare new neo-Gothic buildings in Belgium. The demolition of the building was completed in 2017. The castle has fulfilled various functions and is also known as Château Miranda or Home de Noisy. The latter was the name when it served as an orphanage. The castle is located a few hundred meters from the Castle of Vêves.
Het kasteel van Noisy was een kasteel in de Belgische Ardennen. De bouw van dit neogotische kasteel begon reeds in 1866 en was pas in 1907 volledig voltooid. Het kasteel was een van de zeldzame nieuw-neogotische gebouwen in België. De sloop van het gebouw werd voltooid in 2017. Het kasteel heeft verschillende functies vervuld en is ook bekend als Château Miranda of Home de Noisy. Dat laatste was de naam toen het als weeshuis diende. Het kasteel is gelegen op enkele honderden meters van het Kasteel van Vêves.

Thanks ! Since 1991, the building is empty and quickly decayed. The municipality of Celles Belgium had already made a bid several times to take over the castle and the land, but the family did not want to renounce the castle yet. The castle has been removed from the list of heritage, as a result of which it was no longer protected against possible demolition. There was a big risk of collapse and was eventually demolished. a pity about such a beautiful castle.
John van Ruijven Too much pride. It would have been much wiser to let the city have it to restore it. The restoration Ashford Castle in Ireland received was breathtaking.

This chateau could have been saved, locked up in 1991 with keep out signs. awaiting restoration. re opened as a hotel, now its demolished and a crumbling/derelict memory

Too old to preserve, I feel so connected to my Ancestry part of Dutch, English, French and Portuguese.
That's why I lived around the world all alone as early since childhood including 8 years EU (Dutch residence permit 2002-2010).
