Thank you for sharing! i am 26 and also had a CML diagnosis 2 months ago. I went for a check up because i had broken my rip a couple of months prior and still had a strange feeling in the stomach area! Turned out that was not related to my sports injury but to my to the size of my spleen! Doctor said it was 10 times the normal size and then he went out to make some phonecall. came back and told me i had to go to the hospital immediately and they would expect me there. Due to the size of my spleen and some other blood tests they intitialy thought it was ALL in the last phase of the disease wich made me think i was goner for a short while until they came back with the bonemarrow results and told me it was CML.
Its incredible how that diagnosis can hit you like you described as well. I did not even charge my phone before going to the doctor thinking it was just an ordinary day of my semester holidays. I wish you all the best and hope that you are still doing well.

My son turned 21 in February. On 11 March he went for a routine eye test ,they said he had burst blood vessels in his eyes.she thought it was diabetes. The next morning he went to the gp for bloods. That afternoon we got the call we will never forget , Mrs Higgins bring callum to the hospital now something is seriously wrong. A few hours later they confirmed CML . He is on tasigna now for 12 weeks so far. Like you he had no symptoms only night sweats and is responding well so far to tasigna apart from fatigue x

How is your son doing now?

@@Pr0ph3cy-k5z he is doing well, his medicine had to be changed after 10 months as it wasn't working as well as the doctors hoped. It was changed to sprycel two years ago and he is classed as in remission and stable. His bloods are checked every three months and they are hopeful that he can have periods of his life off the drug to give his other organs a rest. He's going to university in September as a mature student and looking forward to it. Thank you for asking .

Hi Michelle. Thank you for sharing your story. As a CML patient for almost 4 years now, i can totally relate to your story. I was dasatinib for just over 3 yrs but one of the side effects now have caused inflammation in my stomach. by BCR/ABL was nil detected for almost 6 months so specialist suggested to stop taking meds. i thought i was getting my life back in order with less side effects, more energy and all the others. unfortunately last 2 blood tests have shown readings of the ABR/BCL and i now have to start taking the Imatinib. You are such a positive, beautiful person. i wish you all the best with your CML journey and i also hope that we dont have to stay on meds for the rest of our lives. Sending you hugs.

Actually it's a bit sad when after 3mnths well actually and 4yrs that I'm the one forcing drs to check my blood and take note of my pathology reports. Maybe I should move to Vic now that everyone from there has moved here to the Gold Coast and I have to wait more than 6 weeks just for discharge papers, basically indicating cancer...but my GP laughs at me. 😭 You're extremely lucky ☺️❤️

What blood labs were high and low?

Extremely high white blood cell count. The problem with this video is that it's full of myths. It doesn't matter is you're male or female or what your age is. Leukemia even CML is a genetic disorder anyone can have it. Look up proper medical information if you're worried or go to your doctor.

@@kjpcgaming9296 July 2023, my neutrophils were very high. Lymphocytes were almost zeroed out. My other white blood cells were high and low. My hemoglobin and hematocrit were high. My dr suspected leukemia. My neutrophils were high in 2021 as well. I lost 55 pounds in a 2 month period. I began throwing every cancer type of herb at it as a precaution. Thunder God Vine, Serrapeptase and a lot more. I stopped losing weight and all of my red and white blood cells are back to normal. My dr is confused and so am I. I only took those supplements for 6 months. I am autoimmune and suspect I have another autoimmune disease. I had a lot of imaging done and nothing was found. Colonoscopy was clear.
