This might be the most enjoyable playthrough of Dark Souls 2 I have ever seen, you are funny, enternaiting, and you always make sure to explore the areas and get as many content out of the game as you can, I am loving it so far and I am excited to see you playing all the future souls games as well!
Dude that means so much to me. Thank you for saying that you made my day letting me know this 🙏🙏 I’ve been having so much fun exploring as much of each level as I can, so I’ll definitely keep it up!
Well, colour me shocked. You not only beat Mytha in the poison, but made it look easy. It's a common thing that people miss the windmill just outside the Mid-Earthen Peak bonfire, and go through Hell in the fight. Normally, you take a torch to the windmill guarded by a warden to clear out the poison in front of the arena, and all but an outer ring of it on the arena itself. It's all but necessary in NG+ where her healing can outpace a lot of weapons. Covetous' lore is actually hilarious; he was a noble who sought Mytha's affection, and managed to land on gorging himself to the point of demonhood to show it. "The madness known as love" indeed. Another pretty awesome episode, Wuggs. Glad to have found you all the way back in Boletaria. It'll be fun to see you handle the Iron Keep. I recently bought the Ps4 version of the game, and had a blast revisiting the area. (Flexing a bit, but got myself the platinum and all the items in the game minus one. Veterans probably know what that is). Edit: a little side note: When you give Rosabeth new clothes, it replaces the old ones. So you'll need to get all the Sorceress' outfit at once if you want her to have it.
@Wuggernaut and if you want to farm for the Desert Sorceress set, you'll want to increase Item Discovery. You could see this stat in DS1 but it's hidden in DS2. Here are the items that increase it: Prisoner's Hood = 10 Traveling Merchant Hat = 25 Jester's Cap = 50 Symbol of Avarice = 100 (also increases soul absorption, but gradually lose health) Prisoner's Tatters = 15 Watchdragon Parma = 50 Covetous Gold Serpent Ring = 50 Covetous Gold Serpent Ring+1 = 75 Covetous Gold Serpent Ring+2 = 100 Rusted Coin = 100 And burning a Bonfire Ascetic also increases it at increments, but as this takes you to the next NG+ for the zone and refreshes enemies after they've stopped spawning, you might want to wait until after you've killed 15 of each.
He didn't find the Boss shortcut bonfire either. So easy to miss stuff in these games. And of course no Jestor summons because you must turn off the poison to get him. I think he should be available BEFORE you turn it off, but he isn't. You don't really need him after the poison is off.
1:15:00 also pro tip for jumping, do a plunging attack to land where you want and to ensure you don't over roll, it'll plant you on the ground/platform or whatever.

Hey Wugs, thought I'd share some half useful tips and random funfacts! You CAN aim with the crossbow as long as you hold it in both arms- it just wasn't possible in dark souls 1. And yes, there was a sniper crossbow with high range you couldn't aim with... Raw stones are amazing! They grant a really good flat damage boost, but remove scaling the more you upgrade the weapon. Especially handy for weapons that already come without scaling... You can change your stats where your journey began should you be serious about the pyromancy part! You may also want to visit a certain nest... Talking about pyromancers, the ones at earthen peak have an interesting "grab" attack. Baiting it out just for the laugh might just be worth it! But do bring enough fire protection... The undead steelworkers with the giant hammer emit a visible shockwave when they hit the ground. That's what hit you at 55:30 Spices are amazing! They allow you to cast utility (and damaging spells too, but it's not worth it without the scaling) without the stats! At 1:38:30 one of the manikins closed the gate to lock you out. The enemies of ds 2 do act a little silly sometimes... Patc- I mean Pate gave you his set since you fought the last giant together! It's also the armor set of the ds 1 warrior class. The armorer in Majula will offer new items if you spend more souls on him! His armor sets come with more lore as well... Oh and congratulations on beating one of the thoughest bosses you have faced! The ever so fearsome covetous demon! Hope whoever is reading this is having a wonderful new year! 🎉
Another awesome episode! You have really grown as a Souls player in the last couple episodes. By now you are taking your time to explore, find (almost) everything, utilize all the tools at your disposal, crushing enemies and mob gangs like a pro. It's so much fun to watch as a DS2 veteran, keep it up man!
Time for the weekly comment 😉 This is perhaps one of the few instances that I am going to praise this thorough exploration of an area in any DS. You did a fantastic job there and you challenged yourself more than you should have in Earthen Peak (The community will hint towards some smaller things that you have missed in the area). 1:36:36 Be careful with that statement for DS 2 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 (you ll see what I mean, in the future) Overall it was a great video to kick off the New Year, and again I wanna wish you, Summer and your family a Happy New Year and may anything you desire come true !!!
I mentioned before to keep buying from the early game merchants. They will continue to upgrade inventory as you spend is why the hint. More options could be good, like more Armor sets or free items?
2:26:50 One tip for boss fights (in all souls games): remove *everything* you dont need in that particular fight from your hot bar. That way you dont have to scroll through a bunch of items you don't even need to get to healing, buffs, etc
2:00:18 that noise you hear from time to time are dead enemy bodies loading back into the game when you reenter an area. The game deloads assets and so when it reloads them, the enemy starts in a T-pose position and then just dies and collapses to the floor since it’s already dead 😂 be careful tho because sometimes it can actually be an enemy dropping down as it has similar sound effects
I can’t wait for the next episode-it’s so much fun watching people experience Dark Souls 2 for the first time! You should check out the Blossom Kite Shield if you have it-it really helps with stamina recovery. Just a heads-up, some Pharros' Lockstone contraptions can be completely useless because they’re duds and don’t give you anything. Also, wouldn’t two-handing the Guts sword do more damage and feel a bit faster? Oh, and if you burned the windmill near the big guy with the shield by the bonfire, the boss arena wouldn’t have any poison, and there’d be much less poison in that entire area. Keep up the great progress-I’m really enjoying the series!
In my first play through I got lucky finding the wind mill burning and never knew what it did. I felt so sad for you when you missed it 😢 but you beat her in a poison pool that's impressive
Great use of throwing knives! They're one of my favorite Dark Souls tools; they're great for aggro-ing enemies, killing off weaker enemies, and delivering finishing blows. Bravo, too, for using your other projectile weapons. I'd recommend choosing a bow/crossbow you like and upgrading it to at least +6... your damage will improve significantly with upgrades. With one more point in DEX (16) you can get a longbow from McDuff, which is probably your best all-around choice. Alternately, if you don't want to spend the point in DEX, that heavy crossbow you found will do the job... the range is inferior, but you can also one-hand it. Plus, it's already partially upgraded.
8:48 It depends, usually you want a stronger weapon to be in the right hand (I guess that was a craftsman since the max upgrade for twinkling one is +5), cause resins are buffing only the right weapon, and backstabs are the right weapon only. But if you like the moveset of a specific weapon that is also a great reason to put it right, because pressing r1 uses only your right hand. Lastly, stamina consumption of dual-wielding mostly depends on the right weapon, so it's also smart to put a lighter weapon in the right hand if the difference between stamina consumption is drastic. 19:05 That's ok, the whole point of dual wielding is to have more range of attack movesets, try one attack with only right hand and continue it with two hand attack, sometimes it's faster and less costly. I was for example using the sword that can cast magic in my left hand because I wanted to have range attacks without changing to bow, or having a second sword with poison, because poison is goat and I won't lose too much damage from infusion because it was offhand anyway. 1:08:02 Do not worry too much about using human effigies, there are ways to farm them using the bonfire ascetics, or just regular farm. Though it's a late game. Do not waste without reason, but if you need to use it, use it. A small spoiler, but if you don't die in (spoiler), you will need only 3-4 effigies, the problem is that people die a lot, so they use 30. But I don't think that you will need that much, you finished Lies of P after all. 1:19:21 It was in DS1, in DS2 you can aim crossbows, the only difference is that it's longer to reload than a bow, but it can be used only using one hand, and faster to shoot if it was loaded but I am not sure who is going to hot-swap to a crossbow. 1:23:14 The greatest boss of all time. Ok, technically the boss can be the third boss we fight, but still, it's easy even if you are blindfolded. His gimmick is that he has a grab attack that removes all your weapons and clothes, which is an interesting idea. And if you destroy the jars hanging on chains above his arena he will stop the fight to go eat the dudes we released. (I am almost sure that's why we were given the crossbow with strong bolts right before) But let's be real, the boss is too easy for any idea to be wasted on him. 1:27:32 He sells new staff after you spend initially1k, and then like 15-16k souls. 1:37:46 Fire required ahead 1:39:36 The comedic timing is just perfect. 1:42:13 Hidden wall behind this jars with that w(b)itch who was throwing fireballs down at the start of the location, with some new magic or something. 1:48:05 They actually have a kiss-grab attack. And one more attack that was cut out of the game because it was too horny. Just search on RUclips "ds2 kiss", and see two top videos for both. That's the funniest shit I've seen in ds. 1:52:17 It's also used in the LVL1 challenge runs because it gives +5 dex, -3 adp. (Small tip for UI, when you try to equip a new weapon/cloth, you can see other tabs by clicking triangle/Y/(not sure what was on PC, pg up? backspace?), quite handy to see if the thing gives extra stats, though it's super rare, and usually from headpieces/shields) 1:53:22 If you burn the windmill before using lockstone you will get the water that heals you, quite useless regardless. 1:53:41 Bonfire ahead 2:18:13 He does not know that he missed the whole bonfire and a way to remove the poison from the boss arena. 🤭🤭🤭 2:28:16 That was definitely the best way to do it for content 🙃. I like the poison arena, It adds a whole new level of difficulty to the boss fight. Even if you had found the windmill secret, it would’ve been awesome too. In the first case, we get an intense fight; in the second, we see some big-brain exploration moment. Both approaches are great as long as you tried it yourself, because it shows your unique game journey. At the end of the day, people don’t just watch for the gameplay-most probably already beaten the game themselves. They’re here for the genuine experience and emotions, and you’re doing an amazing job with that. Keep it up, and Happy New Year! P. S. ❗Saying it now, the next boss has Lucatiel's sign. And next area greatly improves when using the environment and barrels with water.
Hey thank you so much for the in depth comment! All this info is really awesome to know 🙏🙏 also I’m glad you liked the fight, and knowing I’m doing a good job capturing my genuine reactions is really validating thank you so much 🤝 Happy New Year!!
Fun fact about covetous demon, there are pots in the ceiling that you can shoot down. They have hollows that distract the boss. Shame the boss is so easy there's literally no reason to do this, but it's a really cool concept that they never did again.
@1:19:20 In Dark Souls 1 you could not free-aim with crossbows, you could only free-aim with regular bows. They changed it in Dark Souls 2 so that now you can free-aim with crossbows and regular bows. Just make sure to two-hand the crossbow.
Basically, infused our weapon with an element does give advantages such as fire or poison. However for that greatsword, raw gem was best fit. It just totally increase physical damage even though no special effect like fire/burn the enemy. It will help you a lot when you enter DLC later on.
1:15:22 I was literally typing that you shouldnt sweat the effigies so much (this is a blind playthrough after all) and then you dived headfirst into the water
Quick tip about messages for illusory walls, its not game breaking or anything but because you have to interact the devs made sure a message couldnt get in the way so if you ever see a message right up against the wall it literally cant be an illusory wall
Keep it up man you're doing great!! I'm a long time gamer and souls games fan, and I loved DS2. Glad to see you're enjoying it, never really understood what some had against it. One area of this game in particular really had me awestruck...can't wait to see your reaction to it...
You can burn the windmill with the Torch and it will clear most of the poison from most of the area including the boss. That way the boss room will have only small poison parts, and she will unlikely to heal while you unlikely to get poisoned.
Oh hey, just a pro tip on that crystal lizard that kept dropping down the hole.... If you approach from the right of the lizard, as you're looking at him, he'll run directly away from you. If you approach at a better angle, he'll run past the hole. You've been chasing him towards the hole.✌️
Super impressed that you got through that boss fight without getting rid of the poison first. I'm excited to see your reaction to the Iron Keep. Stay strong.🙏 Quick tip: The real strong point of the Greatsword is its stagger potential and, on normal mobs, this is optimized through the two handed double light attack. You saw it some where in the midpoint of this video, the vertical smash followed by swinging the sword back up from the ground for a second hit. The first downward hit staggers and the second, upward hit, kills mobs before they have time to react. The only downside is how easy it is to miss the first attack.
Hi Wuggs. Happy New Year 🎊🎊🎊!!! Things that you've missed: burn the windmill. This would make the place and the boss easier, a secret wall behind the first stairs before the boss with some poison pots, two summons in the poison pool before the boss (burn the windmill required), two secret walls and a bonfire on the top platform right before the boss.
One way you can restore your humanity without using effigies is to become the summon. If you use the white summon sign soapstone, you are committed to remain in that world until you defeat the boss. If you use the small white soapstone, you are only committed to stay in the world for a few minutes or you defeat the boss (whichever comes first). Successful completing your summoning not only restores your humanity but also refills your estus and repairs your equipment. Additionally, the big soapstone rewards you with covenant specific tokens and the small soapstone rewards you with smooth and silky stones to trade with the nest.
One of the better areas in the game despite the abundance of poison lol. I also didn’t know about burning the windmill thing (the game up to that point gives you no reason to think that that’s possible, let alone in order to remove poison from the boss arena). But we did it! Without the poison I guess she’s only slightly more difficult than dollar store Jabba the Hutt back there. Next up, Iron Keep. Exhibit A as far as DS2 non-enjoyers are concerned. Stock up on those bolts.
Happy New Year! :) You can indeed farm the Desert Pyromancer Set for the NPC in Majula. And I mean, it is fitting, she is a Pyromancer after all. Which is the sole reason to get this outfit for her :P If you want to learn Pyromancy, DS2 is the game for it. Because in DS3 you will have to invest stats in Pyromancy as well, so either going for it in DS1 or DS2 is the way to go. The Covetous Demon is a weird boss. Basically only a Lore-Boss, but in my opinion they could have skipped him (and some others). He has a funny attack tho, where he can eat the player and unequips all the gear, but it is rare and you basically have to stand in front of him for a while to trigger it. 😅 You missed something above the Boss Room of Mytha, quite easy to find, but it is not useful anymore I guess. 😅 There is also something you missed at the top floor of the ladder next to the Short Cut you opened. :) A bit of Lore for the Blacksmith and his daughter - as you noticed, the daughter seems to have memory issues, so while she looks human, she is actually starting to go hollow. And while the Blacksmith, her father, looks completely hollow, his mind is completely intact. I dont know, I just think it is interesting that they put both sides of this into those characters...^^ And one last bit - the Merchant in Majula gets new dialogue when you buy stuff from him. And also more in his inventory, actually a few times. If you like, I can tell you how much you have to spend :)
Hi Wugg, nice video! My respects, you fought the gorgon in the hard mode 😎 now, it's time for the Iron Keep; looking forward to see your reactions, I'm sure you're going to do it well, though... Happy New Year and greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷❤️
Happy New Year, my friend! 🎉🎉🎉 What a way to start 2025💪😎 As always, a few spoiler-free hints: 1) You are a hunter. You are always prepared. So remember to stock up on cheap arrows for kiting/cheesing annoying out-of-reach enemies. Just spend your last dozen souls after leveling on the cheapest arrows that Lenigrast sells. Thank me later 😁 2) The next time you meet Gavlan, remember he loves to buy all your crap. 87 broken swords? Gavlan is your man. Crappy or duplicate armor you don't need? Gavlan will love it. And then spend the acquired souls on his wares 😉 3) Your favourite armor could do with a few upgrades... Titanite shards are a dime a dozen in this game and the upgrades come cheap. Don't hold back. 4) Enjoy Iron Keep. 😁❤️
@Wuggernaut So looking forward to it! 🤩 Oh, and just a general hint I forgot: You have found that awesome Pharros Lockstone with the puddle of poison. Maybe there are more places in the game where you should NOT use the stones... Check your surroundings before using them; and read the lore description again: Not all contraptions were created by Pharros, but by copycats... 😱
Best souls 2. Let's goooo. I know this episode is going to be great, but next episode is going to go exponentially hard. Always one of my favorite areas to see someone go through for the first time.
@59min - Quite often, 'Visions of...' doesn't mean something's there, it's just suggesting you remember what WAS there back in the DS1 era. The sunlight altar bonfire in the room between the drake and armored boar.
That's last boss fight was amazing. You even fought her the hard way. You can drain the posion out of the room. Also the posion was healing her, didn't know if u noticed that
You can gesture with the select or options button. Also make sure you chat with everyone again in Majula - after you meet certain conditions (ie. a certain number of deaths/quest progress), you'll often be given new items from the NPS in Majula!
here's a cool tip for more drip: if you spend enough money in the armorer shop in Majula, (I think its around 15k) he will have more inventory for sale, including Boss Armors! then if you burn Bonfire Ascetics in the Majula bonfire, he will sell a special Butterfly set that can help you jump better. you can access some stuff your not supposed to with it! just be careful wearing it around important NPCs as it poisons everything nearby.
You know, you're allowed to sell all of your repetitive stuff. Wheel it and deal it and lighten your load, in exchange for some moolah. Anyway, that's what I would do, but you do you. Another fun video.
Happy new year! You did a great job exploring! You did miss a couple of things, but A) the main things aren't anything most people get on their first run, and B) it won't be so much useful if you go back as it will make you facepalm. Just something to meditate on. You were in a windmill tower, and took an elevator up. You stepped out to a castle sinking into lava as far as the eye can see. Huh.
@@Wuggernaut DS2 had some pretty serious production issues, but Tanimura came in at the last minute to direct and really pulled it together. It's astoundingly good, all things considered, but it has some funny quirks like this.
Happy new Year! 🎉🎉🎉 (Its already 2025 for me). Looking forward for what this year and you will bring us (especially the area that comes after Earthen Peak...)
To be specific : 1- You can get rid of the poison in the boss arena and some areas by burning the windmill in front of the bonefire 2- you missed a bonefire it's so close to the boss 3- there's 3 summon signs you missed in this area despite looking for them the whole time 😂😂😂
Hello ! You know Pate is the one who push you in the skeleton's crypt in DS1 and he's here in DS3 and Elden Ring. Even in the 1st : Demon's Souls !!! 😅 I love him !❤❤❤
Congratulations on defeating the Baleful Queen! And apparently somebody owes me money, because I bet right; there were ways to deal with the poison before the fight, but I guess that's a moot point now...
WUGGS you missed another bonfire and a mechanic for the boss room lol goodjob beating her the hard way! I would say remember that when the game gives you crazy boss rooms like poison or the dragonrider's bossroom with the tiny arena you can fall off of, they typically give you a way to allieviate it:) Earthen peak was one of my fav areas when i first played. I forgot just how much is packed in there! Edit: also i will say there by the bonfire you missed before the boss, there is another set of treasures to find too.
If you wanna really know who's gwyn's unnamed son you need to go throught ds3 right after this 😍😍 hopefully will see u there one day my g thanks for the great vid ❤
Wuggs, I changed my mind ; you should totally play Bloodbourne after DS2. Get those BB SUPER fans on your channel! They will adore your play style b/c you care. BB is not for me (the game hurts my ears). I absolutely adore the game tho; but just not my favourite FS game). Whatever it is you decide to play after, I'm here for it- we all are.
Maaaan I keep flip flopping on my decision 🤣 I think I’m gonna leave it up to a community poll lol. And dude thank you so much, I’m so glad you’re here for the ride with me 🙏🙏
If you’re worried about NPC summons for bosses, you can always Homeward Bone and pop an Effigy before heading back in, in case you think missing something :)
Bro, fighting that Medusa Queen in the venom was absolutely wild! I don't think I would endure this kind of stress very well. But I guess it gave you a good fight, because without that poison this boss would be a terrible joke (as easier as the other one covetous demon, trust me). Now the next stage you will know hell. Better prepare to timing your attacks well, cause the fight there will be quite fast paced. Ironicaly enough, the Greatsword you use is just the right weapon for this stage, specially if used with both hands.
Great episode, Wuggs! Yo, I know you don't play around with magic much, but you just picked up the spell "Chameleon" and you need to start having fun with it. It won't even affect gameplay, as it's useful for PVP, but you will get a laugh out of it every episode from here on out. It should have 3 different uses in each area, sometimes depending on where you're standing.
Covetous Demon is fairly laughable but if he does get you with a certain attack it de-equips you of everything which can certainly spice it up! Fairplay with Mytha as well; honestly I don't know how anyone is really expected to discover that the windmill can be torched in the way that it is
Fun fact, those pyromancer women have a grab attack where they kiss you, or no they straight up make out with you to hurt you, in the game it's physically, in real life they hurt you emotionally 😂No lie, try getting close to them
Finally, he has fought the two greatest bosses fromsoft has ever created. Bed of chaos and Covetous demon
LOL I feel like I’m ready for anything now 🤣
@@Wuggernaut hope you're ready for High Lord Wolnir then
@@ГлебКаменский-я7й 💀🎺

@Wuggernaut and if you want to farm for the Desert Sorceress set, you'll want to increase Item Discovery. You could see this stat in DS1 but it's hidden in DS2. Here are the items that increase it:
Prisoner's Hood = 10

Prisoner's Tatters = 15
Watchdragon Parma = 50
Covetous Gold Serpent Ring = 50
Covetous Gold Serpent Ring+1 = 75
Covetous Gold Serpent Ring+2 = 100
Rusted Coin = 100
And burning a Bonfire Ascetic also increases it at increments, but as this takes you to the next NG+ for the zone and refreshes enemies after they've stopped spawning, you might want to wait until after you've killed 15 of each.

50:24 “i’ll fight two of them at once” 😂 this guy fucking kills me omg
🤣🤣😅 only fair
Hammertime!
Good on you for experimenting with different builds; play around, and have fun with it!
Definitely! That’s one thing I regret not doing in ds1 🙏
@@Wuggernautwe can always do some weird builds in stream if you want
Can’t wait for the next episode. I loved it and The Iron Keep!
Me neither! Recording it tonight!
@ Yay! My favorite place.
Wow dude thank you so much! I’m so glad too cause adopting this play style has made the game so much more fun!
Time for the weekly comment 😉
This is perhaps one of the few instances that I am going to praise this thorough exploration of an area in any DS. You did a fantastic job there and you challenged yourself more than you should have in Earthen Peak (The community will hint towards some smaller things that you have missed in the area).
1:36:36 Be careful with that statement for DS 2
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 (you ll see what I mean, in the future)
Overall it was a great video to kick off the New Year, and again I wanna wish you, Summer and your family a Happy New Year and may anything you desire come true !!!
Dude thank you so much that’s a huge compliment! Also you got me scared now 😂😂😂
I mentioned before to keep buying from the early game merchants. They will continue to upgrade inventory as you spend is why the hint. More options could be good, like more Armor sets or free items?
👀👀👀 see you next episode 🤝
2:26:50 One tip for boss fights (in all souls games): remove *everything* you dont need in that particular fight from your hot bar. That way you dont have to scroll through a bunch of items you don't even need to get to healing, buffs, etc
That’s a great tip thank you!
Fun fact: You could get rid of the poison in Mytha's arena by burning the windmill behind the knight at 1:37:41 with a torch.
That would’ve made things so much simpler 🤦♂️🫠
@@Wuggernaut Plus it will clear all poison pool in that area so it will make your exploration easier without being poisoned.
Your reaction to finding Lucatiel and sunbros so endearing
Thank you 🥹 I think that’s one of my favourite moments in these games, besides finding a bonfire after a super difficult area 😅
I gotta tell you Wuggs.... I'm honestly impressed with how well you handled both of those areas. Good job, my dude.
I appreciate that a lot dude 🫡🙏
Your edits are hilarious, Wuggs. Keep at it in 2025. Almost 3000 Subs!
Thank you so much dude 🙏 and yup!!!
56:20 Praise the Sun
!!!!!!!!
What an unintentional, infuriating addition to an already stressful game 🤣
Im dying 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 59:51
🤣🤣 bro I was desperate for more LOL
38:03 Mighty hunter Wuggs, you should stock up on alluring skulls 👀👀Shalquoir sells them in Majula
Ohhh yeaaah!
In my first play through I got lucky finding the wind mill burning and never knew what it did. I felt so sad for you when you missed it 😢 but you beat her in a poison pool that's impressive
Thank you dude, it was a fun little challenge!
I'm caught up!! This has been so fun to watch Wuggs, keep crushing it!
Praise the Sun! ❤
Let’s go!! Thank you so much, I’m so glad you’ve liked the videos so far 🤩 I’m having so much fun making these videos so I definitely will!!
@2:30:20 In Iron Keep, you're apt to be collecting a lot of souls. I'd recommend keeping that in mind before doing risky stuff.
Appreciate that tip dude 🙏
2:02:49 "There's probably going to be someone coming from somewhere at some point" - Wuggs 2024
🤣🤣🤣 so wise, so introspective
Finally able to catch up! Happy New Year Wugg! Have a good one on your channel, and ROCK ON!
Ayye, Happy New Year! Thank you dude, have a good year as well!
1:37:46 Fire required ahead
1:39:36 The comedic timing is just perfect.
(Small tip for UI, when you try to equip a new weapon/cloth, you can see other tabs by clicking triangle/Y/(not sure what was on PC, pg up? backspace?), quite handy to see if the thing gives extra stats, though it's super rare, and usually from headpieces/shields)
1:53:22 If you burn the windmill before using lockstone you will get the water that heals you, quite useless regardless.
1:53:41 Bonfire ahead
2:18:13 He does not know that he missed the whole bonfire and a way to remove the poison from the boss arena. 🤭🤭🤭
2:28:16 That was definitely the best way to do it for content 🙃.
It was a funny troll but at 3:57 your character did see something cool by looking down chloanne's top.
👀👀
I only JUST realized why Pate gives you gear that looks identical to his own, because there's someone after him lmao
Omgggg 💀

Wow, what a treat of an episode! Happy New Year, Wuggs, may it be a healthy and successful one!
Happy New Years! And the same to you 🙏
Fun fact about covetous demon, there are pots in the ceiling that you can shoot down. They have hollows that distract the boss.
Shame the boss is so easy there's literally no reason to do this, but it's a really cool concept that they never did again.
Ahhh goootcha, now those jars out side make sense! They were hinting at using them in the boss room 😅
Not only to distract, he actually eats them - true to his name :)
@1:19:20 In Dark Souls 1 you could not free-aim with crossbows, you could only free-aim with regular bows. They changed it in Dark Souls 2 so that now you can free-aim with crossbows and regular bows. Just make sure to two-hand the crossbow.
Ohhhhh, thank you!
Basically, infused our weapon with an element does give advantages such as fire or poison. However for that greatsword, raw gem was best fit. It just totally increase physical damage even though no special effect like fire/burn the enemy. It will help you a lot when you enter DLC later on.
👀👀🙏
1:15:22 I was literally typing that you shouldnt sweat the effigies so much (this is a blind playthrough after all) and then you dived headfirst into the water
💀💀💀
Quick tip about messages for illusory walls, its not game breaking or anything but because you have to interact the devs made sure a message couldnt get in the way so if you ever see a message right up against the wall it literally cant be an illusory wall
Ohhh that makes sense, appreciate you 🙏🙏
Oh ive been so looking forward to this one! Happy new year ♥️
Happy new year Joe!
Keep it up man you're doing great!! I'm a long time gamer and souls games fan, and I loved DS2. Glad to see you're enjoying it, never really understood what some had against it. One area of this game in particular really had me awestruck...can't wait to see your reaction to it...
Thank you so much for the encouragement dude 🙏 I really love it so far! The more I hear about how long this game is the happier I am 🤩
@Wuggernaut With the dlc content it is SUPER HUGE 😆
Ending the year right let’s gooo
Heck yeah!!
You can burn the windmill with the Torch and it will clear most of the poison from most of the area including the boss.
That way the boss room will have only small poison parts, and she will unlikely to heal while you unlikely to get poisoned.
I didn’t even notice she heals until editing, and had no idea it was cause of the poison 🫠
Badass blanket. Props to Mom. Merry Christmas man.
Merry Christmas dude, and thank you!
" I need that top and someone gonna love it " is my exact thought process in my first playthrough 😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤝
Finally finished the episode, Gotta love your reaction to Iron Keep!
I can’t wait to explore it 🤩
1:04 almost the complete end of a run
Oh hey, just a pro tip on that crystal lizard that kept dropping down the hole.... If you approach from the right of the lizard, as you're looking at him, he'll run directly away from you. If you approach at a better angle, he'll run past the hole.
You've been chasing him towards the hole.✌️
Ohhhh Dammn, I was acting like it was a predetermined route 🤦♂️thanks dude!
@@Wuggernaut I did exactly as you did, for way too many times until I discovered the trick.✌️
Cheers and Happy New year.🍻
Make sure you spend 10k souls with the armor merchant in Majula, his inventory will change once you do, plus he will start selling boss armor!
👀👀👀 heck yeah!
Super impressed that you got through that boss fight without getting rid of the poison first. I'm excited to see your reaction to the Iron Keep. Stay strong.🙏
Quick tip: The real strong point of the Greatsword is its stagger potential and, on normal mobs, this is optimized through the two handed double light attack. You saw it some where in the midpoint of this video, the vertical smash followed by swinging the sword back up from the ground for a second hit. The first downward hit staggers and the second, upward hit, kills mobs before they have time to react. The only downside is how easy it is to miss the first attack.
Truuuueee! I’m gonna try to use this more ty!
Ommgggg no waaaay 🤦♂️🤦♂️
@Wuggernaut lol 🤣😋
Happy new years! I'll see ya next year dude! Woohoo 🎉
Happy new years!!

You can indeed farm the Desert Pyromancer Set for the NPC in Majula. And I mean, it is fitting, she is a Pyromancer after all. Which is the sole reason to get this outfit for her :P
If you want to learn Pyromancy, DS2 is the game for it.
You missed something above the Boss Room of Mytha, quite easy to find, but it is not useful anymore I guess. 😅
There is also something you missed at the top floor of the ladder next to the Short Cut you opened. :)
A bit of Lore for the Blacksmith and his daughter - as you noticed, the daughter seems to have memory issues, so while she looks human, she is actually starting to go hollow. And while the Blacksmith, her father, looks completely hollow, his mind is completely intact. I dont know, I just think it is interesting that they put both sides of this into those characters...^^
And one last bit - the Merchant in Majula gets new dialogue when you buy stuff from him.
Happy new years! And I’m really excited for this vid 👀
Happy New Year, my friend! 🎉🎉🎉
What a way to start 2025💪😎
As always, a few spoiler-free hints:
1) You are a hunter. You are always prepared. So remember to stock up on cheap arrows for kiting/cheesing annoying out-of-reach enemies. Just spend your last dozen souls after leveling on the cheapest arrows that Lenigrast sells. Thank me later 😁
2) The next time you meet Gavlan, remember he loves to buy all your crap. 87 broken swords? Gavlan is your man. Crappy or duplicate armor you don't need? Gavlan will love it. And then spend the acquired souls on his wares 😉
3) Your favourite armor could do with a few upgrades... Titanite shards are a dime a dozen in this game and the upgrades come cheap. Don't hold back.
4) Enjoy Iron Keep. 😁❤️
Ahhh yes this is good advice thank you! And I can’t wait for y’all to see next ep 👀
… 🫠
@59min - Quite often, 'Visions of...' doesn't mean something's there, it's just
suggesting you remember what WAS there back in the DS1 era.
The sunlight altar bonfire in the room between the drake and armored boar.
Ahh gotcha, Ty!
Oh I can’t WAIT for next episode
👀👀👀
That's last boss fight was amazing. You even fought her the hard way. You can drain the posion out of the room. Also the posion was healing her, didn't know if u noticed that
I didn’t until later on! I kept thinking too “I thought I did more damage than that” lol
You can gesture with the select or options button. Also make sure you chat with everyone again in Majula - after you meet certain conditions (ie. a certain number of deaths/quest progress), you'll often be given new items from the NPS in Majula!
Ahhh good to know thank you dude!
here's a cool tip for more drip: if you spend enough money in the armorer shop in Majula, (I think its around 15k) he will have more inventory for sale, including Boss Armors! then if you burn Bonfire Ascetics in the Majula bonfire, he will sell a special Butterfly set that can help you jump better. you can access some stuff your not supposed to with it! just be careful wearing it around important NPCs as it poisons everything nearby.
Oh damn! Thank you for this tip dude!
You know, you're allowed to sell all of your repetitive stuff. Wheel it and deal it and lighten your load, in exchange for some moolah. Anyway, that's what I would do, but you do you. Another fun video.
That’s a great tip! I could use the souls to get closer to my dream build too 👀 so thank you!
happy to see the new vid
Thank you!
Huh.
LOL that’s such a good point 🤣 maybe the grand world map design isn’t as well thought out as ds1 😅
@@Wuggernaut DS2 had some pretty serious production issues, but Tanimura came in at the last minute to direct and really pulled it together. It's astoundingly good, all things considered, but it has some funny quirks like this.

" We cleaned this area up " ofc you missed some stuff 😂😂😂
To be specific :

2- you missed a bonefire it's so close to the boss
3- there's 3 summon signs you missed in this area despite looking for them the whole time 😂😂😂

Congratulations on defeating the Baleful Queen! And apparently somebody owes me money, because I bet right; there were ways to deal with the poison before the fight, but I guess that's a moot point now...
I keep hearing about this… I think I effed up 🤣
@@Wuggernaut Nah, you just did it the hard way. You know, for the challenge!
Right! 😅

TOO close! 😩
@1:27:32 This NPC merchant upgrades his inventory after you spend enough money with him. It's something you'll want to do eventually.
WUGGS you missed another bonfire and a mechanic for the boss room lol goodjob beating her the hard way! I would say remember that when the game gives you crazy boss rooms like poison or the dragonrider's bossroom with the tiny arena you can fall off of, they typically give you a way to allieviate it:)
Earthen peak was one of my fav areas when i first played. I forgot just how much is packed in there! Edit: also i will say there by the bonfire you missed before the boss, there is another set of treasures to find too.
That’s a good tip to remember thank you! And it is a really fun area 🤩

I’ve changed my mind yet again and I think I wanna ds3 next 😅
Thanks for the tip dude 🙏🙏
Bro, fighting that Medusa Queen in the venom was absolutely wild! I don't think I would endure this kind of stress very well. But I guess it gave you a good fight, because without that poison this boss would be a terrible joke (as easier as the other one covetous demon, trust me). Now the next stage you will know hell. Better prepare to timing your attacks well, cause the fight there will be quite fast paced. Ironicaly enough, the Greatsword you use is just the right weapon for this stage, specially if used with both hands.
Thank you dude! Yeah in a way I’m happier that I didn’t find it cause that was a fun challenge. And 👀👀
A hunter must hunt... Your hunter joke will last longer than you know.

Poison fight was very cool!
Ty dude! Took some strategy to get down 😅
Great episode, Wuggs!
Oooo okay 👀👀👀
Happy New Year, Wuggs! Best wishes for 2025!
Happy Nee Year! To you as well!!
@@Wuggernaut Thanks man.
Covetous Demon is fairly laughable but if he does get you with a certain attack it de-equips you of everything which can certainly spice it up!
Fairplay with Mytha as well; honestly I don't know how anyone is really expected to discover that the windmill can be torched in the way that it is
Appreciate you 😅 I’m glad I was able to beat it without 🤷♂️
@@Wuggernaut look forward to seeing what you make of Iron Keep! 🤪
Fun fact, those pyromancer women have a grab attack where they kiss you, or no they straight up make out with you to hurt you, in the game it's physically, in real life they hurt you emotionally 😂No lie, try getting close to them
I might have to see this first hand 👀🤣
