As I suggest on a RUclips video with address ending /watch?v=warVVm5PUZo, you're already building a charging system into your vehicle so why not just put in an expansion port so we can park next to an array at our homes and plug in to accelerate the solar charging? It just seems like a logical thing to do if you want to add value and give people another great reason to buy your product. If it's as easy as plugging in a DC connector to a socket and having your car's solar array circuit run through my solar panel array on their way to the charge controller, the cost on your part is a different charge controller, a SPDT switch, and a DC receptacle and possibly wire upgrade to handle the increased voltage. I'm going to put this idea into every Aptera video I can find until you put it into your vehicle. I want every person who sees these videos to watch for your response to such a common sense idea so we can all know what your team does when an obvious win is offered on a silver platter.
Seeing progress on the PI builds for CES is great however seeing what looks like PI-2 still in Carlsbad being updated is disappointing. PI-2 needs to be at the track getting initial tests completed. Track tests are not real world tests but they are a start and at this point ultra important for investors. Is the theory matching results in ideal test conditions? A great looking vehicle that doesn't meet expectations is like so many other vehicles. I truly hope the image of the PI builds under construction is from weeks ago.
@gr8dvd I test products for a living now and Aptera could have some complex track tests but not likely. Range tests under what would likely be ideal conditions have value as it is unlikely that the vehicle would do any better in the real world. Given the cost to rent a test track, it is not likely that they would spend more than a week there. The test results would definitely be qualified but initial tests results at this point are better than no test results. The computer model would include these tests and would be an easy comparison. Investors really should be looking at data and at this point there really hasn't been real data. I seriously hope that Aptera is not waiting to release test data until CES. With a daily burn rate that is likely to be close to $83k, they need some serious investors very quickly. Crowd funding only keeps the lights on & really doesn't do that for too long. They need $60M in short order to get production rolling and even that is likely short of what they really need. They are not going to get serious investment with theory. The test results need to have happened yesterday.

Getting economies of scale by getting production numbers up is going to be absolutely necessary to compete with Tesla or Hyundai Kia... Otherwise if the cost is too high sales will be very low which makes it even harder to keep the price reasonable just to recover all the development and sunk cost.
Aptera does not need to compete with any other vehicle manufacturer... it is completely unique in multiple ways and will sell itself once they trickle out on to the roads. There is a segment of the population that appreciates the efficiency and performance that is unique to Aptera. No other car company could possibly come close to the low break even point of Aptera at just 6,000 vehicles per year. Other companies selling many thousands of vehicles are in debt up to their eyeballs. If one of the big manufacturers decided to build a super efficient vehicle anywhere near the low manufacturing costs of Aptera, you might be on to something, but there are not, and you are not.
@GullWingInnMoclips The impact and benefit to society if they only sell very small numbers will be minuscule, I didn't say it but that is why I made my comment. Wall Street has changed from a place where risk taking was what made progress, and a better life, to a casino based on complex algorithms, so three wheels is a huge change, and light weight with huge SUVs scares many people. But timing counts too, and 6 / 8 years ago, money was being thrown at these companies, and they were extremely over hyped. Aptera missed that time, and now the market is cold, with the one exception being Tesla. Aptera will find the money, but not until validation of the claims which they have made. EPA rating of MPGe, over 300 miles equivalent, decent crash testing, moose testing by independent third party, will make the money happen. CES is a great place to attract more eyeballs, and wallets will open once the claims Aptera has made prove to be real through validation. As to the current price per share, being a private company it is irrelevant. What the founders paid for start-up capital, is usually a very small fraction of what it will come public. The Aptera on the left looks like it has the knock sensor in the left glowgo area. The right one appears to have the windscreen in place and both doors have windows! Not absolutely sure but the left one seems to also, from the bit I see on the right door. But the video screen behind the right one is intriguing. I think the double tab batteries have more redundancy than a single connection to the battery even with the metal extension [one point of welding]. This still could be about homologation? Bets on maker of the battery that will be in it? What if CATL was willing to sell their LMFP battery to them? But the way things are now I do not think China will allow it. So odds are, not any battery based in China will sell to them. They have already cut off buying any food [corn, soybeans, wheat plus coal or Nat gas] from the US and sold off 1/3rd of a billion in US bonds. Japan has sold more and France is also as they see Trumps tariffs as causing huge inflation in the US.

PI4 will most likely only function as a display and will only require enough functionality to get itself from the truck trailer to the booth and back at the end of the event. Remember how incomplete gamma was at the time of its unveiling and how many issues it had when used for test rides later.
They don't have that attitude, thank goodness ! They have already stated they will be scheduling media rides at the show, maybe after hours ? They have screwed up a few other opportunities with the media and can't afford more !
Japan has sold more and France is also as they see Trumps tariffs as causing huge inflation in the US.
the removal of forums are not good. Forums are web searchable from the search engines, making it more beneficial to do a quick web search for relevant information. Where discord is not web searchable.
Aptera calls that a feature....just before CES introduction :-(
It is an interesting decision that they nade.
Money Talks, Bullshit Walks
You have been constantly "bullshitting" on something that people are giving their all for, that the world needs. Money should not be an end in and of itself, but merely one of the means. You are greatly confused about what is "bullshit" and as a result, supplying a lot of it yourself.
@@n.brucenelson5920 I am offended and triggered. The issue for aptera is that Tesla is already profitable, builds safe, reliable, efficient vehicles so the capital markets aren't willing to risk it on aptera. Or maybe the big boy pockets are waiting on validated specifications and not theoretical best case scenario numbers, and theoretical safety. Who knows, but for sure money talks and bullshit walks.
@@n.brucenelson5920 I would love for you to provide the examples of "bullshit" I allegedly spew that you claim.
@@n.brucenelson5920 Hey Bruce, hope you're well.
