Making A Desk Top Monitor Riser From Old Reclaimed Parquet Flooring!

Since im working from home a lot more now these days, like most i need to maximise all usable space especially at my desk where i work, edit videos and now leather craft. i didnt want something off the shelf i found it difficult to try and find something with a large span to cater for the larger monitors so i ended up making my own from 20x20x 2.5mm box section steel and reclaimed Parquet flooring, Im unsure of the wood, i would guess chestnut? But i cannot confirm.
