@@Undercaffinated That's awesome. I think you would have a great following here in America as we don't have cool roofs like those. You have so much content with your incredible skills. I wish you success .
Would love to see a longer video explaining and showing each part of the process start to finish. It’s a fascinating process and you have such skill a few minutes just doesn’t do you justice!
Could you do a full video from start to finish showing everything you do and how long it takes? Really think that would make a great show. Enter way I do like watching your shorts
Absolutely fabulous! What a wonderful skill. Do you come from a family line of thatchers? I’m fascinated by this old building skill. It’s a shame you have to import from Turkey though. Look forward to seeing more. Greetings from Australia
You should be doing a 25 min full length as it progresses on a project. You'd have 500k subscribers in a heartbeat !! A young Jack Hargreaves would be born 😎
There are natural reed beds all over the wetlands in the UK. However there’s probably not a huge demand for reed industries nowadays so they farm out for resources.
Ni9ce but I wish he would tell us more about the roof. What is it, how long does it last? what would it cost? This looks awesome
Indeed! Now I'm intrigued! About the reeds! Godspeed! 😉😎☮
Just look it up on Google
I was curious and did some googling on how long it can last and that's 15-40 years depending on what type of thatching material was used.

Nicely done. Looks great! I didnt realize thatched roofs was still a thing.
Very cool!! I'm really curious why people still do this kind of roof when we have much more modern roofs and modern technology what am I missing?
Tradition!
And they work!
They last thirty to forty years and are beautiful British tradition
It’s a shame that that kind of roofing is not used everywhere. It’s such a beautiful art form. Thank you for letting us watch you work.
I can't stop watching this art! ❤❤
That is so amazing. Beautiful roofs.

Where did ancient Brits get reeds for their thatched roof back then? Surely it wasnt imported from Turkey, right? Did they even use reeds?
I'm wondering the same thing.

Serious question: Is there need to get a special permit? I'm pretty sure the building codes wouldn't allow for that in my area. Where is this?
